We've all been there. A nice conversation in person, a text thread, on social media then BAM...someone chimes in with a Scripture verse you suspect isn't being used the way the Bible author intended. It can derail a good conversation, especially if you're not quite sure how to respond.
Join the guys on this timely episode about "Twisted Scripture: The 6 Most Misused Verses in the Bible" to help get a handle on what to do when you're confronted with this situation. As usual, there are some laughs, solid Bible teaching, and practical insights that you can take on your way as Christ's ambassador!

We've all been there. We know we should share the Gospel with someone we know but they seem totally not interested. Or they're kind of intimidating. Or, if we're being honest, we're just plain ol' scared of rejection or that we won't say the right thing or have all the answers.
Join Doug, Brad, and special guest, "On Eagles Wings" leader and veteran Sabin Miguel as they uncover the most important parts of sharing your faith in hard places and situations. You won't find many better ways to spend half an hour as the guys land incredibly valuable insights and practical steps to share the hope of Christ in the toughest of situations.

Or, will we choose to stand firm and be bold, living a life of faith over fear and love over lashing out? Jesus followers + Bold hearts = world changers!

Have you ever had one of those unforgettable conversations? We definitely did as we sat down with Dr. Jerry Root, Wheaton College Professor Emeritus and longtime C.S. Lewis scholar.
Fear too often makes even the most faithful followers of Christ go silent. We feel the pressure to “say it right,” we worry about rejection, and one awkward moment can convince us we are not cut out for evangelism. Listen in and hear us talk about a better way: sharing Jesus from a heart shaped by love, gratitude, and quiet courage.
We unpack why evangelism is less about having a special gift and more about building real trust with real people. Jerry tells unforgettable stories from a pipeline crew, a donut shop regular who took nine months to say 'yes', and an airport delay that turned a simple survey into a surprising opening for grace. Along the way, Jerry gives a practical framework you can use today: ask public questions, listen closely, and let the answers earn you permission to go deeper.
Subscribe for more conversations like this, share this with a friend who feels stuck, and leave a review if it helps. What is one person already in your routine you could start praying for by name?

This Easter, we take it back to a simpler time, before all the 'extras' we sometimes find added to celebrating the Resurrection. The Resurrection Story is packed with real people, real reactions, and real hope. And we can find ourselves in it! We each pick one person each from the life of Jesus and ask a question that cuts through the noise: where do I see myself?
This episode is for everyone...and at any time, not just Easter! From our true identity, to faith & doubt, to failure and forgiveness, you'll hear straight from our hearts. And we pray it will speak to your heart, too.
If you’ve ever felt defined by your past, your questions, or your failure, hit play and walk the shoreline with us. Subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review, then tell us: which person in the resurrection story feels most like you right now?

Anxiety has a way of sneaking into normal life until it starts running the whole show. We’ve all felt that tight-chest, racing-thoughts pressure, and lately the reasons stack up fast: nonstop headlines, financial stress, parenting fears, comparison culture, and that nagging sense that control is slipping through our fingers.
Doug, Ron and Jesse sit down for a candid, faith-forward conversation about anxiety, everyday stress, and what happens when worry becomes the loudest voice in your mind.
And then there's a lot of the episode focusing on steps to overcome anxiety, and how to find peace in a stressful world.
If you’re tired of feeling on edge, come listen and take one step toward peace today. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs it, and leave a review with five stars if you can.

The Middle East. Israel. Unrest. A nation looking for a Messiah. How should an ambassador for Christ feel? How should we respond?
Our conversation with Dr. Mitch Glaser, president and CEO of Chosen People Ministries, traces a 132‑year arc of faith and compassion that still meets the moment—on New York streets, in Israeli bomb shelters, and across the feeds shaping Gen Z.
If you want to be an effective ambassador for Christ to people coming from a different faith background…or if you would just love to hear an incredible story with lots of laughs and wisdom…you will find a lot to love in this episode!

The headlines are loud, the opinions are louder, and somewhere in the middle real people are getting reduced to talking points. We decided to step out of the political crossfire and talk about immigration the way ambassadors for Jesus should: with conviction anchored in compassion and a heart that refuses to grow cold. If your heart feels frayed by the news cycle, this conversation will help you guard it.

A headline drops, a heart sinks, and trust feels thinner than yesterday. When a leader falls, the pain is real, the ripple effects spread fast, and the questions don’t stop at the church door. In this episode, our guest, Ron Hutchcraft, joins us as we talk honestly about the recent news of another Christian leader's hurtful choices. It's not a conversation centered on the sin but about how we as Christ's ambassadors should respond when news like this hits.
Whether it's a well-known Christian leader or someone in your own life, you likely know a trusted leader who has fallen. If this topic hits close to home, you’re not alone. Join us for a thoughtful, compassionate conversation that aims to steady your steps and strengthen your witness. If it helps, share it with someone who’s wrestling.

And how can we remain Christ's ambassadors when grief is present? Ron shares from years of experience dealing with this topic - check out hopewhenyourheartisbreaking.com for more info.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Or is it? Holiday family gatherings can be deeply memorable or deeply stressful - probably some of both. Doug and Brad break down some practical ways to reach out to difficult family members over the holiday season, whether that person is distant, opinionated, or just plain grumpy. Doug also shares his unusual views on pilgrim rumbles.

It's Season 4 of Go M.A.D. (Make A Difference)! Doug and Brad kick off with a timely Thanksgiving topic: politics. Instead of endorsing candidates, the bros explore how to be Christ's ambassadors during this volatile period. They emphasize that it's not just what we do, but how we do it that matters. Plus, find out if the rumors about Doug being escorted from a voting booth are true! Join us as we navigate faith and civic duty. Let's Go M.A.D.!

Well we officially made it. It’s the end of season 3 of Go M.A.D. The only reason we’re not tearing up is that we’re already jazzed for season 4. Yes, jazzed. That and we can’t stop laughing about Brad’s Panera Bread story - just listen for yourself. Today, Doug and Brad give tips on how to avoid a “bummer summer” by being intentional with your time and your relationships. We hope you have a great summer and look forward to starting the conversation again in the fall.

Cue Pomp and Circumstance! It's graduation time! Chances are someone in your life is graduating or will be graduating high school or college sometime in the near future. In this episode, we revisit a stellar interview between Doug, Brad, and Mark Jobe about the future of this generation. While Dr. Jobe has some instruction for graduates, he's full of optimism for what this next generation will accomplish. This interview is relevant for all of us who have a young person in our life (or as Brad says, even if you pass by a young person in Walmart.) Welcome back to the show, today’s episode is a doozy. If you’ve enjoyed movies such as “I Can Only Imagine,” “American Underdog,” “Jesus Revolution," and now “Unsung Hero,” you can thank our guest today, Andrew Erwin. Andrew, along with his brother Jon have been telling stories of redemption through film for the past decade. Doug and Brad chat with Andrew about the recently released, “Unsung Hero,” and how this filmmaker uses stories to capture hearts. You don’t want to miss this one. This new episode is something really special - we’ve got arguably our favorite Hutchcraft on the show today, Ron Hutchcraft. Did you know you have one of the best M.A.D. tools with you all the time? It’s your Hope Story, and it’s powerful in Jesus’ hands!
Recently, Ron and Doug hosted a six-session video series called, “Your Hope Story.” “Your Hope Story” is all about how to use your story to lead others to Christ. Ron and the bros interact with some of the interviews that are featured in "Your Hope Story,” and land us with some truly helpful principles for sharing Christ with people in your world. If this sounds like something you or your church would like to engage with, go to YourHopeStory.com or check it out on RightNowMedia.org

We are really excited about today’s guest - Kristy Graham from Samaritan’s Purse. Kristy is the host of the podcast, “On the Ground with Samaritan’s Purse.” We had Kristy on the podcast way back in season 1. On today’s show, she updates Doug and Brad about the current state of things in Ukraine and Israel, what Samaritan’s Purse is doing to help, and what you and I can do as ambassadors for Christ, no matter where we live.

There’s an old saying that goes, “Show me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are.” If that’s true at all, things are looking pretty bright for Doug and Brad. Today’s episode features comments from some friends of the Hutchcrafts that were recorded at a recent conference. They were all given this question: “What’s one thing that Christians can do to make more of a difference?” Doug and Brad interact with some incredible answers. They also paint a vivid picture of Brad roaming the halls of a convention center lugging a 9 foot by 9 foot box. True story.

The Super Bowl was one for the ages. If you watched it, you might have seen a commercial about Jesus with the tagline, “He gets us.” Not surprisingly, this commercial has been the center of a lot of talk, both positive and negative. The bros jump into the conversation, with this question in mind: how can we be Christ’s ambassadors concerning this ad? What can we say? How can we say it? And why does Doug inherently trust anything that Mr. T sells?

On today’s show, Doug and Brad bring their better halves, Anna and Sara, into the studio to talk love languages. But first, Brad has to break out a box of that weird heart candy that only shows up in February and Doug conducts a very confusing game of two truths and a lie. The four Hutchcrafts leave us with some incredible advice about being Christ’s ambassador in your marriage. If you’d like to take the quiz that they reference, go to https://5lovelanguages.com.

The egg nog, the cookies, the fruitcake - barring an upset stomach from all that sugar, it’s the brothers’ favorite time of year: Christmastime! Today’s episode takes a deep dive into the story of the shepherds found in Luke chapter 2. Even if the closest you’ve ever been to a sheep is the wool in your ugly Christmas sweater, Doug and Brad break down what the shepherds have to do with you this holiday season. Stick around to the end to find out about a new free resource that you don’t want to miss.

Well, the trees are going up and giant inflatables are filling your neighbors yard. That must mean it’s the Christmas season! And as the ringing of the bells outside of stores reminds us, it’s also the season of giving. But with so many people in need and what could also be a personally dry financial time, giving can come with challenges. On this episode of Go MAD, we’ll be taking a look beyond giving at Christmas into the heart of God who has a heart for ‘giving living’. We think you’ll be encouraged as we dive in with our guest host, Ron Hutchcraft, so stay tuned…and let’s go MAD!

Thanksgiving is upon us and we can’t think of a better conversation to share with you than our interview with Grammy-nominated, Dove award winning Blessing Offor. This past summer, Doug and Brad got a chance to sit down with Blessing to find out what makes him tick. How does he maintain such joy in the midst of hardship? Blessing does not disappoint. But before you can say, “Please pass the cranberry sauce,” or in Doug’s case, “Please throw the cranberry sauce away.” (You’ll see what I mean,) we clear up some personal Thanksgiving issues. All that and more as we Go M.A.D.!

Well it’s that time of the year where egg nog is spontaneously appearing on the shelves and ghost decorations are making simple trips to the store feel like entering a haunted house (I’m looking at you Home Depot). But today, Doug and Brad hit on something that scares most of us year round - the fear of failing as a parent. What if I mess up my kids? What do I do when I know I missed the mark? How do I keep moving forward without giving up? All this and more as we dive into the second episode of the season.

Go M.A.D. Season 3 is underway! We are so excited about this season and can’t wait to share what’s in store. For now, Doug and Brad are joined in the studio by master of puns and fellow Hutchcraft, Ron Hutchcraft. In today’s episode, the guys turn their attention to the place the whole world is watching: Israel. What is going on and what is God doing in all this? No politics, no future predictions, just some clear steps forward for the ambassador for Christ wondering, what does this all mean for me?

Whether it’s a new movie, series, or news story, Christian media seems to be more relevant and more frequent than in past years. What do we do with this? Most of us are prone to two extremes: either an eye-rolling skepticism of all Christian media or a blind acceptance of anything with the name of Jesus slapped on it. Doug and Brad offer a way forward, especially as it relates to our ambassadorship. How can we use the good, the bad, and the ugly of Christian media as tool, not as a weapon or target? That’s today’s show. Also, Doug volunteers Brad to send our listeners baking mittens, but don’t buy it, it’s not actually at thing.

It’s part 2 of the Honor Challenge! In case you missed it, two episodes ago, Doug and Brad talked about being Christ’s ambassador at home by honoring our wives. They then promised to model said honoring in the next show. Well, we took a detour last episode to discuss Asbury University and revival (and you should definitely check out that episode if you haven’t yet), but now, as promised, Doug and Brad are ready for the Honor Challenge. Brad’s wife Sara and Doug’s wife Anna are in the studio as well for this one so there are plenty of laughs throughout. But all four give great down-to-earth examples of what it might look like to honor your spouse.

If you take part in social media in any way, shape, or form, you’ve probably seen something about what’s going on at Asbury University in Kentucky. With Doug out this week, Brad gets to talk about revival with one of our favorite Hutchcrafts, Ron Hutchcraft! Brad, Ron, and I discuss not so much the ins and outs of what God is doing at Asbury, but focus more on us - how do we respond? Where are our hearts at? What do we do moving forward? All this and more. Without further ado, let’s Go M.A.D.!

It’s February. That may be your favorite or least favorite month, but either way, we’re glad you’re here. In this episode, Doug and Brad dive into their most romantic hallmark moments with their wives and it definitely does not turn into a competition. Doug also pitches an idea for locomotive-based Valentine’s cards. It’s really something. Maybe you saw marriage in the title and thought, “That’s not me.” Doug and Brad hone in on honoring your spouse, but the principles can apply to pretty much any kind of relationship, as we live out the role of Christ’s ambassadors to the people closest to us.

Welcome back to the podcast and welcome to the most wonderful time of the year. Today, we are discussing a topic that I think we all feel in some shape or form. Christmas traditions, decorations, Santa Claus, Advent - how do I know if I’m celebrating the right things too much or too little? And how can I be an ambassador for Christ in the middle of it? Doug and Brad share some thoughts and explain what Bo Duke and a Jesse Tree have in common.

A cup of cold water at Christmas - you might be thinking, “Wouldn’t that just be ice?” To which we would respond, “Yes. But no.” After Doug ensures that we give our best non-spiritual gift giving stories, Doug and Brad dive into some practical steps for making a difference with our giving. Jesus told us that our heart will be where our treasure is and we want to take that seriously. With the holidays fast approaching, how can we be Christ’s ambassadors in the realm of our resources? Let’s find out, and Go M.A.D.!

Today we ever-so-cautiously approach the age-old legend of the dad-bod. However, this episode is for people ALL shapes and sizes, men and women, young and old. Doug and Brad talk through working up to a dad-bod and working down to a dad-bod, but even more so, how our bodies are key in our lives as ambassadors for Christ. This episode is really practical, but not in a 3-steps-to-health-success kind of way. Doug and Brad share some insights from their own experience of how we can best glorify God with our bodies.
Welcome back to Go M.A.D. with Doug and Brad, Season 2! We are so excited about this season and are looking forward to what lies ahead. On today’s episode, we hit the ground running as Doug recalls getting kicked out of a voting booth and Brad confesses his go-to political pundits (hint: they’re actual vegetables). Doug and Brad walk through not who to vote for, but how to go through the election season with an ambassador-for-Christ type attitude. How can we love others well before and after the vote itself? Let’s find out and let’s go M.A.D.
