Jelena Djordjevic is the Chief People Officer at Thumbtack. In early October, I had the chance to attend Linkedin’s Talent Connect Summit in New York City. In this episode, I share some of my takeaways and learnings from the event, and talk about trends including generative AI, career development and internal mobility. Today’s episode is about the opportunity and importance of designing mentoring programs for employees in today’s changing world of work. Joining me is Emily Goligoski is the SVP of Research at Charter.

Mentoring is something that many of us can agree is critically important, both at the individual level as well as the organizational level. And given the state of today’s remote, and hybrid workplace where sharing ideas, information, and connection are critically important, mentoring seems like a great way to help organizations across a number of key business outcomes.

Drawing on research that Emily and her team at Charter led to evaluate mentoring in the hybrid workplace, Emily shared some of their key findings from the report, including how mentoring is impacted by work style (hybrid, in-person, and remote) how great mentor-pair relationships work, and some of the key characteristics of well run mentoring programs.

Amelia Dunlop is the Chief Experience Officer at Deloitte Digital. In her role, Amelia takes a data-driven approach to understanding the human experience, and working with leaders to create better experiences for employees, customers and partners.

Sophie Smallwood is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Roleshare, a job sharing platform that connects individuals looking for fractional roles with companies looking to hire diverse talent.
