In this episode, Dr. Jones discusses ‘Imposter Syndrome’. Plus, he will provide 3 important points he feels on how to overcome the fears or challenges of Imposter Syndrome.
Alisha Janette Taylor is an actress, producer, and director. She is an alumni of Abilene Christian University where she received her BFA concentrated in Musical Theatre. Alisha has performed in shows such as The Dream of the Burning Boy, Nickel and Dimed, Mary Poppins, Big Fish, and The Mountaintop. She has performed The Mountaintop multiple times after graduation, one performance being at Valparaiso University in the Chicago area, and another most recently at Theatre 71 in New York with Brian Dickerson Productions. With an innate love of creativity, Alisha began to work with film. She completed a short film, Baggage, at the Nate Parker Film Institute which had a private screening at the 2018 Pan African Film Festival. She was Associate Producer on the short film Nazen, which also was selected for the 2021 Pan African Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Short Film. Most recently, she has ventured into documentary filmmaking. Alisha has produced a number of documentaries. Most recently she produced and directed a short subject documentary named The Mississippi Delta Experience. She is currently working as an Archival Producer for the documentary, I’ve Been Waiting, which is set to be released Summer 2022. Both of these projects amplify Black voices and stories, which is the throughline of all of her projects. Alisha’s vision is to create authentic black narratives on stage and screen that uplift and edify her community.
