In this episode, I interview Chris Heaton on his story about EXPERIENCING God's grace. Chris opens up about his story coming to faith in Jesus Christ and how God's extraordinary grace has played a pivotal role in his sport career, mental performance, family, work, and in overcoming adversity.

Because of who He is, and the fact that He knows every detail of our life, He is qualified (or able) to give everything we need in any situation.

Have you ever felt guilty for your past life? Have you ever felt unworthy to accept the love of God?
If you have, you are not alone! The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:9, "For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God."
Many of us stop here and feel chained to our past, unable to let go of the decisions we made.
Paul didn't. In the next verse, Paul writes, "But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain" (1 Corinthians 15:10).
Grace empowered Paul to let go of his past, embrace His calling, and move forward in the will of God.
In this episode, I share about how God's extraordinary grace sets us FREE from our past to move forward to the future and live for Him!

Confidence requires me to be Proactive not Reactive. I must think NOW (before the fight) so I can win later (during the fight against anxiety, fear, stress, and discouragement).
What do I think about? Living Inside Out.
Many competitors live Outside In. Their mindset is consumed by their performance and what others think. As a result, they ride a roller coaster of emotion and depend on their circumstances for confidence.
As an Inside Out Competitor, I need to focus on the unchanging truths of who God has made us to be. God declares who I am, not others, not my performance.
In this episode, I share many of the unchanging promises of God that make up my Identity in Jesus Christ. Use this audio track every morning to start your day, before competition to focus you on living Inside Out, or in another creative way. I pray it blesses you. These truths changed my life!
(For more on becoming an Inside Out competitor, go to www.garysteffes.com and sign up for the next Mental Side Course)
