It's an old one I dug up that I never liked. But grew on me over time so I'm putting it back out there to see if anyone can stand it.
Recorded in my parent's basement ~early 90s. My dad (40s at the time) is on drums, and my brother (15-17 at the time) is playing guitar. I recently found this cassette tape. This was the only real track on the tape. I cleaned it up, and remastered for a stereo sound that feels like the room it was recorded. Since this was an opportunity to Jam with my older brother and dad, I also added my own -minimal- bassline.
Long-form ambient horror experiment, recorded live, 5/7/23 at Funhouse Studios. Sounds created w/ synths in Reason and Ableton. Headphones recommended.
This is an early take of a track that would later become "Disenentangle" on Walking Meditations.
This was the second track I made with Reason when I was first learning to use it. Maybe 2018ish? I was trying to make certain sounds with synthesizers; a motorcycle, cityscape, or in this one... the inside of an airplane. It became this other weird thing. I upload at the time, but removed it in shame of its amateur-ness. Now I kinda like it's amateur-ness.
The voice of the previous authoritarian? From the deep dank bin of a pre-covid export folder.
My brother Ryan did the beats on this track. This is an alternate version to the one that ended up on "Walking Meditations."
I made (and titled) this track in 2019, a few years before the movie with a similar name existed.
This version lacks the ambiance of the weather and traffic and is mixed quite differently. It was my first exported take of this track.
I was playing with a synthesizer trying to make it "talk." The only words I could do consistently were "wow" and "oh yeah." No human vocals/samples were used,
Made for headphones. Not sure what the genre is, I just like how it came out. Work in progress / may replace in the future, but downloadable.

I wrote/recorded this 20 years ago. Recovered from an old hard drive, the vocals and guitar are from the original recording from 1999/2000. In my 20s I wrote/recorded a bunch of acoustic songs, but lost most of them to time. I was maybe too critical of myself back then. But this has grown on me. I've only found a couple of these recordings recently (not that I've been looking too hard), but I hope to find some others.

I was 8 years old in 1988, recording a radio show to a cassette player in my bedroom with my dad's keyboard. I told stories and played music (I was taking piano lessons at the time). I found the tape recently and decided to have some fun with it.

Our Uncle Brian passed away recently. He was a cool guy. Jim Morrison was his idol. He lived life on his own terms. My brother and I made this track for Brian, using a few of the voicemails he had left over the years.
