BEGINNING AGAIN, AUGUST 31, 2021! As recorded by an almost-30 Catholic pediatric critical care nurse, who makes plenty of unwise (re: terrible) life decisions, all whilst continuing to attempt to follow Christ wherever He may lead. Hi. I'm Kelsey, and for the purpose of giving you some company on YOUR walk with Christ, I'm here to tell you about the challenges I've overcome (plus the ones I haven't), the down-and-dirty tips and practical wisdom I've gained over the last decade, and the laughs I've had as I desperately try to figure out what it means to follow Christ, and how the heck to do it. I've made tons of mistakes along the way, struggled with various eating disorders and depression, used every dating app known to man, been engaged twice, and spent 18 months volunteering in Jerusalem, Israel taking care of disabled children. We are going to talk about all that, plus some stuff about relationships, evangelizing, Prozac and lots more. SO - if any of that interests you, join me, spend a few minutes, take what you like and throw out the rest. Questions, comments, or just horrified and concerned? Reach me at kwasilewski13@gmail.com
Start and you’ll keep going. Become who you were made to be, because you don’t have a better option.
For those days and moments in which we feel like we're unseen, unheard, unimportant and unappreciated. This one is for you.
Yes - Mount Quarantania really does exist. And it is what is sounds like. Hell. Jk. BUT - a time and place of severe testing and temptation - yes. And for all you singles out there - this one's for you. I gotchu ;)
The three key elements of discernment and how not to waste your one freaking talent (spoiler: just don't bury it. That's all. Just really focus on not doing THAT - and here's how not to)
"Offer to God a sacrifice of praise," decorate your damn tree, and know that it doesn't go unnoticed.
So many of us are afraid of just the word "evangelization"; we definitely like to forget sometimes that as Christians, "spreading the good news," aka "sharing the gospel," aka "evangelization," is one of our main duties! Here's why you don't need to be afraid of it anymore. In fact, you've probably already been evangelizing more than you know.
How the Lord took me from doing my own thing, which mainly involved just shopping and living it up in general - to working with disabled kids and wiping snotty noses in Jerusalem, Israel.
Welcome friend, and thanks for listening! In this episode, I introduce myself and kind of just let you know what this podcast is going to be about - which is essentially just trying to figure out how to follow Christ/what that can look like in today's world. I hope you like it!
