We all have differences in opinion but here on the common ground Milkweeds Podcast, there's no topic we cant bring from light to darkness and darkness to light. Uploaded biweekly with a sprinkle of Minisodes. Join us every other Monday in all sorts of studio spaces. She talks about her experiences under her role in the field as well as aspects of the force that she would like to see change to restore trust between citizens and law enforcement. Emily talks about Connecticuts historical involvment in the Abolitionist movement and the Undergound Railroad, while Abbey focuses on the more recent movements through Black Lives Matter and presents recourses at the end of the episode that our listeners can use and referense while continuing their own anti racism work. 2020 came to an end with many people having a lot to think about.
Abbey sits with Em and her crumpled piece of paper. One that carried the good, the bad and the ugly of 2020. From the forest fires in Australia that followed us from 2019, to the Black Lives Matter protests that erupted all over the world, to a transition in presidency to end the year. 2020 has been left with a negative cast, and rightfully so, but listen in and reflect with the girls as they shed all the bad to welcome 2021.
