If you believe the money you have is yours to do with it as you please, and it's unlikely that you will ever give generously. However, if you acknowledge that you're a manager of God's resources and if you love the Lord Jesus Christ and have a close relationship with him, then generous giving is a skill that you can learn with God's help.
Manage money and material things with an eternal perspective, not a temporal perspective.
Give generously and sacrificially to God's work and do not be constrained by the tithe.
As a result of your love for God, give generously to God's work and God will bless you both here on Earth and for eternity in heaven.
