Moses was described as the most humble of all men. He was trampled upon severally by the Israelites but he continued to seek their good until the end. His love for the Israelites was not rewarded by the Israelites but his legacy remains till date.
Jacob more or less robbed Esau and Esau had the chance to revenge, but he treaded the path of peace forgiving his brother.
Abraham was Lot's uncle and foster father after Lot's dad passed away. Lot and Abraham were at the point of conflict over possessions including landed property and Abraham rejected any type of confrontation by allowing Lot to determine what he wanted. Lot took the most fertile land and both of them were separated. The seeming prosperity of Lot put him in the hands of captors but Abraham put his life on the line to fight and rescue Lot.
Saul wanted David's life at all cost for no justifiable reason, but the Lord protected David. David had chances to revenge and kill Saul but he wouldn't touch the anointed of the Lord.
"The more you become even with your offender, the more you become odd with your defender. If we revenge, or make offenders feel bad for offending us how does that make us Christ like. True forgiveness controls or curb our tendency to revenge even in the minutest way.
