Today we will be looking at a bill in Georgia's legislature dealing with the raising of the minimum wage. Please note that the bill has a few different parts to it but I will only be discussing the segment regarding increasing the minimum wage. If you want to learn more about the other parts of the bill please know that they are reflective of the Federal Labor Standards Act that was originally passed back in 1938 during the Great depression to protect workers from unfair work conditions and to make twenty five cents an hour America’s minimum wage.
