Sacred Magic, Earth Magic, Feminine Magic. A podcast to show that at the very heart of everything is one beautiful creative force. Whatever your faith or none, we maintain that all is holy and all is worthy of love.
Welcome to March. Spring is sprung in the Northern Hemisphere. Sunday 10th March in the UK is 'Mothering Sunday' - different from the US 'Mother's Day' in that it was intended to be about honouring 'mother Church' - such an irony given the patriarchal Church teachings of 2000 years! However, today we go to the root of Mothering and its meaning and how we can be mothers for the planet - and each other - whatever our sex and children of the planet and each other too.
Today we answer a listener question (thank you for questions; we love them!) about our perception and experience of what, for want of a better world, we're calling miracles. We're agreed that life itself, every day, is a miracle but there are some absolute humdingers in our experience too :-)
Apologies that the normal introduction isn't here - small technical cock-up by Maggy. And it's also a bit quiet again. Alternative microphone for next time!
Today Suzi shares a beautiful ritual for Imbolc, the festival that marks the beginning of spring; also the feast day of Saint Brigid, Ireland's patroness saint.
And there's a blinding flash of the bleedin' obvious for Maggy when she invites a sacred geomancer to dowse her home.
The deck we are using today is: The Witches Wisdom Tarot by Phyllis Curott, illustrated by Danielle Barlow. And the Buddhist teacher Suzi references is Joanna Macy.
Once again Suzi and Maggy are sitting together in front of a warming fire and sharing stories to comfort - and challenge - the heart.
Today we recalibrate after Suzi's two-year absence and recommit to learning from each other's paths. bringing together two seemingly divergent faiths that, at the source, both honour and compliment each other.
Welcome back!
This is the last episode of our podcast; certainly the last for an indefinite time, at the very least. We're not adding that commonly-used word of 'sadly' to this process of dying because there will also be rebirth. Yes, there is sorrow but there is also joyful anticipation for the next things which are ours to do.
In the meantime, Maggy has a go at some ideas of how we can all bring more balance to the world and how incredibly important it is to understand where we are using our Spirit each day.
Thank you so much for listening. We are very grateful. Maggy & Suzi.
Part two of Maggy's interview with Suzi on Unity Online Radio. This edition is all about the Witch Wound - the still-continuing demonisation of the wise person who lives in harmony with the land. Some wonderful insights and suggestions from Suzi.
Suzi is still away and will be for a few more weeks. All is well and we send her our fondest love.
In the meantime, Maggy has edited an interview she did with Suzi for Unity Online Radio, talking about the importance of wise ones who understand the land and its magic.
Suzi is still away and unlikely to be home for another few weeks. All is well and we send her fond love.
In the meantime, Maggy has edited together an interview she did with Suzi for Unity Online Radio where Suzi outlined her work and the importance of the wise ones who live close to nature.
Today Maggy is flying solo and answering a couple of listeners’ questions on how to tell if your departed relatives really are trying to communicate with you ... and what to do to cope with the really difficult days.
Books referenced are, Testimony of Light by Helen Greaves and When Society Becomes an Addict by Ann Wilson Schaef.
Today we are discussing the importance of getting to know and love ourselves including our shadow ... and how often we assume that the privileges given to us are rights. Do we really have any 'rights' apart from what social convention tells us? Our egos certainly think we do!

We all know that good intentions can go horribly wrong and, today, we are talking about over-giving, over doing and the necessity of owning our own shadow, as well as spells of intention, the enchantment of marketing and Tyson Yonkerporter's amazing book 'Sand Talk.'
Today we are looking into the heart of shame and how to heal it. So often, the spiritual seeker experiences shame when they are sick: 'What did I do wrong? I will be judged as a failure...' and we'd like to put an end to that nonsense :-)
The book referenced today is Burning Woman by Lucy Pearce.
In his inaugural speech, US President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, famously said, 'the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.' Today's podcast looks at the price we pay for fear, how we de-sensitise ourselves to it and how it erodes our immune systems. Our immune system can cope with dis-ease OR fear and not both.
We take a look at the work of Dr. Bruce Lipton and the 'Biology of Belief,' hear the story of Suzi's birth and discuss the nature of angels. A couple of snorts of laughter, a touch of profanity and we're off and running for 2022 :-)
Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate this sacred festival. It's Christmas Eve and we are talking about how we spend our Christmases, laughing over mis-heard carols, standing in Sovereignty and offering service.
The Nativity Tray is a beautiful idea told by Sarah Ban Breathnach in her book 'Simple Abundance:
“Legend has it that on the night of the Nativity, whoever ventures out into great snows (or any bad weather) bearing a succulent bone for a lost and lamenting hound, a wisp of hay or some oats for a shivering horse, a warm cloak for a stranded wayfarer, a garland of bright berries for one who has worn chains, a dish of crumbs for all huddled birds who thought their song was dead and sweetmeats for little children who peer from lonely windows, ‘shall be proffered and returned gifts of such an astonishment as will rival the hues of the peacock and the harmonies of heaven.’”
Hi, today's podcast focuses on the Northern Hemisphere winter solstice which happens next Tuesday ... going into the darkness and planting the seeds that will grow next year. We also look at the importance (or not) of dates and how we calculate them.
A bit of a rant this week about the wasteful aspects of Christmas, greenwashing including the labelling 'widely recycled' and some suggested solutions. Looking at what we can make ourselves including a celebration of Maggy's 'tastes great, looks like something the cat brought in' style of cooking.
N.B. After the rant about chocolates in plastic, fair dos to Cadbury's Roses for bringing out a Christmas tin and putting their sweets in cardboard (though they do still have the plastic wrappers...)
Today we are honouring the season of Advent and our plans for the Christmas/Solstice celebrations. How can we be generous without it costing the (beautifu) Earth?
Today we discuss gratitude/appreciations, the purpose of an altar and the joys of moving house.
It's a bit of a stonker of a title today :-) We're looking at how best to shine a light at the advent of Christmas craziness and the giving of gifts. And returning to the importance of language: How WordsWordsWords can become sWords,Swords,Swords.
The poem Suzi quotes is from John Roedel's book, 'Remedy'
A good ramble about natural remedies, doing what you can where you are and with what you have to hand, faith and connection.
Allies are aspects of nature revealed to us by spirit to be our helpers. Suzi leads a masterclass on who, what, where and why.
Today we look at the deep meaning of this time of year, the shadows, the darkness, the elders and the ancestors.
Today we are talking about the 'yes ... and' aspects of segregation of men and women and where transgender folk fit in. Where is it sacred to segregate and where is it discriminatory? We found it fascinating. Hope you do too.
Today we talk about patriarchy - not men, but the system that we have lived in for a good two thousand years - and how we women consciously and unconsciously contribute to this increasingly-unhealthy World view. The Greeks had a word for it: democracy; but it was democracy for a small number of well-connected men only. Sound familiar? So, what can we do to heal this long-broken system of honouring power and dishonouring much that is of far more valua?
Looking at the underlying issues that so often cloud our judgement ... at sex and gender ... and as a lovely side-step, talking about some of our favourite spiritual fiction.
Today we are looking at how not to replace old negative energy with new negative energy. When the source of some discomfort dissolves, our brains often look for a 'new enemy' to match the old energy and keep the same neural pathways open.
There's a short rant about casual condolences that really don't help ... and we also speak about Dr. Jeff Rediger's amazing book, 'Cured' It was only through reading this book that Maggy found out exactly how she achieved her 'spontaneous remission' from cancer! It's a superb document of research into how remissions are achieved.
Today we are talking about connectedness and disconnectedness - both good and bad. And with the passing of the Equinox, the gentle journey into the darkness...
We're continuing the theme defined so clearly by Fr. Richard Rohr: 'If you won't transmute your pain, you will transmit it.' Today it's stories and tips on recognising how and when we are projecting our pain onto others.
Fr. Richard Rohr has a phrase: "If you don't transmute your pain, you will transmit it." Today we are talking about how we transmit our pain - knowingly or unknowingly - how we can see the results of eons of transmitted pain all around us and, by observing and sitting with the world's pain, we can begin to transmute our own.
This is a very personal episode with Maggy talking with Suzi about the death of her mother and the beauty and miracles during the process.
Today we are looking at the letter of the law and the spirit of the law within and without the Abrahamic faiths. Also that extraordinary commandment to love our neighbour as our self.
(Posting early this week as Maggy has to be away on Friday).
Today we look at one of the great pieces of sacred geometry, the 'Magen David,' dive into the fruits of the coming autumn and consider the magic and dangers of mind-altering substances.
We all want our own way ... even if it's just a clear road to in order get to someone's house in reasonable time. But what, exactly ARE we entitled to? And why do we think we have so many 'rights' when, in fact, they are privileges? It's a pretty wide-ranging conversation today, including how, spiritually, to alleviate a physical carbon footprint, how Maggy's Dad dealt with disobedience and, somewhat surprisingly, the Midlands Electricity Board.
This is the one which really should have been called 'The One with Hairy Legs.' We talk about the herd/tribe and its consciousness and about the belonging and not-belonging. Sometimes you have to honour the herd you are walking with and that's a completely different matter from feeling browbeaten to 'behave' according to some other people's views.
...And Maggy's attempts to kill a pair of visiting Americans. I don't think we got to the part where she tried to electrocute one of them but she did!
Maggy got invited to a party and had to consider the state of her legs :-)
Beyond that, we talk of the 'wife of the Lord', Lady Athirat of the Sea and, as usual, life, the universe and everything...

We're discussing men in space, hatred, projection, prosperity and how to lose and regain parts of our soul. So fairly wide-ranging! :-)

Today is about the trees, their communication, Tree Sistersand the Song of Amergin, perhaps the oldest existing poem to originate from the British Isles.
More astrology today with the second half of a full-moon almanac for creating your own full-moon tinctures. Next full moon is on 23rd July 2021. The sun is in Leo and the full moon opposes it so this full moon will be in Aquarius, the sign of the water carrier. Aquarius is revolutionary. So it's about assessing whether revolution is working, is needed or is over.
This moon called the Full Buck Moon because it's normally around the time when the new antlers on male deer begin to show. It's also known as the Blueberry Moon.
If we live close to the land, we must experience the sorrow that lies within its beauty: the sadness of wanton destruction. Today is one of the days for expressing that sorrow, working with it and strengthening ourselves for what is ours to do about it.
Meanwhile, Suzi extols the virtues of Capricorn Moon Juice :-)
Today we are looking at hardened hearts, anger and healing. And how Suzi helped lost and frightened Sappho come home safely.
The way we do something is the way we do everything. The way we treat our bodies, is the way we treat the Earth... Much food for thought for both of us in this one.
This one rides on the back of Maggy's first visit to the fabulous 'Zero Waste' shop in Moretonhampstead and canters briskly through plastics, rest areas, Battlestar Galactica and The West Wing. There IS method in our madness...
If you would like to buy us a cuppa as a present, we wouldn't say no :-) This is our Patreon Account.
Thank you.
Today we talk about natural foods and eating (and are somewhat rude about quorn). Good fellowship and laughter as always.
Today we discuss good, bad, amoral and immoral which gives us quite a range of topics. And exactly just how DID Suzi's bottom get dried?!
Our focus today is safety and uncertainty and the nature of the Divine. What we often view as safety may be control and what we often view as chaos may be the guiding hand of spirit...
We have started a Patreon account so that, if you wish, you can support this podcast with a monthly cuppa or more. There are bribes - sorry, we mean incentives :-) - on the page.
Thanking you. This is the Patreon link.
Nobody starts from the same point as anyone else. Everyone's story is valid ... so today we are discussing, what do two privileged, white, middle class women in the wilds of Dartmoor have to offer to anyone? We are owning our biases and our unknowing ... and pledging that even if we genuinely don't understand, we will still stand.
We're continuing our discussion about prosperity and abundance; what they mean and how we can experience them even with diddly-squat in the bank. Time to dust off that old (mis)quotation from St. Paul about the love of money and look at its far more inspirational meaning in the original Greek.
Last time, we touched on the subject of money and prosperity. Time to get our teeth a little deeper into that subject because it is SO major for so many of us, particularly for those in spiritual or caring work.
N.B. This one has been published early because Maggy-the-Tekkie has to be somewhere without internet on Thursday and Friday :-)
Suzi Crockford is a witch on Dartmoor, Devon. Maggy Whitehouse is a vicar. This podcast is the two of us in discussion weaving and working with our two traditions to find common ground, magic and joy.
Today we discuss value, worth and the fear of only being valued when you are needed. Today's oracle card is the six of swords from the Ryder Waite Tarot.
Today we talk of omens and stories and start an occasional discussion on prosperity and worth. Omens are here to bring us into the Now and Now is the only place where we can experience anything truly...including our worth.
Today we're looking at The Witches' Wisdom oracle pack and discussing the nature of vulnerability and how we understand it. Also, did you know that hot cross buns long pre-date Christianity? All is revealed! :-)
We touched on the perennial wisdom in the world's spiritual and religious spring festivals this time last year so it's time to go a little deeper into the mysteries underlying the conventional Christian Easter story and see how they can be a guidelines for living today.
A lovely hotchpotch today around what are signs and omens and what are not. Reindeer and elk horns feature quite prominently (!) and there's a more than a touch of cheerful profanity too.
Times are challenging for so many of us at the moment as we enter the second year of restrictions. Mental health challenges, unexpected events and over-reactions ... it seems that it is always darkest before dawn. We look at the Osho Zen Tarot for inspiration and look at the ripe fruits that have grown from these 'interesting times.'
It's Mothering Sunday this weekend (Maggy's never been allowed to call it 'Mother's Day) so it's appropriate that we are taking a card from the Goddess Oracle to guide our nattering. Passing references to Lent, the Stations of the Cross and almost certainly a touch of mad crone profanity (but definitely no cackling).
It's our one-year anniversary and neither of us baked a cake. We will bake cake for when we can meet up in person again. Please feel free to celebrate with your own cake!
Today, Maggy has another go with the Medicine Card oracle - will she pull anything but a blank this time? And there's a ton about astrology and magic too.
Today we are working with the Mystical Shaman Oracle of Alberto Villoldo, Collette Baron-Reid and Marcela Lobos and discussing Lent and the significance of the temptations of Christ for the modern day.
Welcome to our 50th episode! One day we'll actually be able to get close enough to each other to have a photograph taken of us laughing together... but not yet.
Today's podcast is mostly about astrology and cosmic patterns, with Linda Hill's Red Seed Oracle cards setting us off on fate, destiny, karma and free will.
It's that 'monkey mind' aspect that scuppers so much of life — scolding, nattering, becoming absorbed in the trivial urgent-seeming hustle of the world. Today, we discuss how we assume that our inspector's repetitive stories are the truth, our first sight and our second and third thoughts. And, at long last, it's Maggy's turn to draw a card (from one of the scant two oracle card decks she owns). It turns out to be more than appropriate...
Oh - and here's the link to Suzi's other podcast :-) https://www.edgewise.online/suzi-crockford/
Today we discuss 'disruptive natural forces' - the Rune that Suzi pulled for our weekly topic. The conversation meanders through elemental powers, lockdown and self-nurturing, all the way to the joy of the miraculous.
Who remembers Crimplene? Or nylon school shirts? Oh the horror! Today, we are talking about how to eat and clothe ourselves as naturally as we can, looking at the Wild Wood Tarot - and snorting with laughter here and there as per normal.
Today we talk about past lives, ancestral healing and the web of life ... and take a card from the Mushroom Tarot by Chris Adams.
An episode about boundaries, the Internet and the InTRAnet and just a few words about whether or not it's polite to hug trees...
Today's oracle cards: The Druid Plant Oracle by Philip Carr and Stephanie Gomm, illustrated by Will Worthington.
Today, we talk about the poet Rumi, the spirit of the drum, resonance and dark teachers. And, most importantly, what is - and is not - ours to do in this amazing, paradoxical and beautiful world.
This episode was recorded before the new UK lockdown so we'll be looking at the world through lockdown-eyes again next week.
As 2020 ends and 2021 begins, Suzi and I wish you all possible blessings, good health and deep, powerful healing for all life on our beautiful planet.
Today we discuss New Year, resolutions - and Suzi talks of the wonderful 'witch's ladder' she makes each year as a naturally-powerful reminder of things she wants to be and do. And there's a question about writing - how we achieve the discipline to do it. Maggy's answer? Engage with the Muse of inspiration. She's there and she's waiting, but you have to show up.
If you are listening over Christmas, we wish you a peaceful and loving festive season with unexpected and wonderful surprises. This episode looks (a little) at Christmas and a lot more about the stories and spells of enchantment - and how helpful it might be if we all lost our memory now and again...
Today we are discussing the turning of the year and the return of the Sun/Son. Stonehenge, strength, hibernation and old wives' tales get a good airing too.
As we enter the year's darkest days, we discuss the meaning behind Advent and the need for hibernation. And Suzi finds her doppelgänger as co-heroine in Maggy's novel, Tales of the Blue Panda.
Today we are discussing the journey ... that the road to joy is the road itself. We touch on Advent, the sacred preparation time before the return of the son/sun, on the nature and importance of pilgrimage and how we humans respond more readily to images rather than the written word.
Today we are talking recipe books, grandmothers, Exodus and the meaning of 'manna' (and possibly of life, the universe and everything...)
Today we are talking about 'The Master Maker' - the topic chosen from today's Oracle Cards. It's fair to call it a wide-ranging discussion :-) including slow food and slow work, being pieces in a puzzle, how lack and greed are connected and what is, and is not, ours to do...
There's more to it than that, but we wanted to look at the differences between fate and free will and President Trump's chart is a very helpful example of someone driven by their subconscious. We hope you enjoy it - it's all about levels of power.
Self-confessed Vicar Maggy Whitehouse and self-confessed witch Suzi Crockford are friends and eager to discuss the similarities and differences in their respective faiths. This is a magical, mystical mystery tour of a podcast seeking the Divine in everything.
More on delving into the darkness, witches and language - and the coming Advent (recorded before the US election and the second lockdown).
It's Halloween and we discuss AllHallows, AllSouls, AllSaints, darkness and ceremonies. BE WARNED, there is a shock in store. Not a very scary one, but Maggy's new hound erupts into barking halfway through and we couldn't edit it out. So, please don't listen to this one as a way of trying to fall asleep! Her name is Sappho, by the way and she says, 'hello.'
Today's episode is about the power of dreaming; not dream interpretation but how to communicate with our inner selves through our dreams.
Today we talk about ways to achieve stillness and peace within, no matter what the outside circumstances. It's amazing what little things can do...
As the nights draw in, Suzi and Maggy discuss how best to cooperate with the darkness of the coming winter. Darkness itself is not a bad thing and there is much we can do in the cold and wet which will both nurture and support us.
We've spoken about Eve and the Tree of Knowledge but there's another legend within the Biblical story of creation - the story of Lilith. Called Adam's first wife, she has long been a feminist icon. But will Maggy agree...?!
This episode features more on the Divine Feminine in the Bible and a discussion on how discernment and mercy are of equal importance in balancing Yin and Yang energies.
'Feminine' does not mean female, just as 'masculine' does not mean male. These are attributes that we all carry within us whatever our gender. Nowadays, there's a lot of talk a lot about toxic masculinity (as in patriarchy) but what about toxic femininity? We explore how the two can only work together ... and at the very end, Maggy manages - finally - to answer the question Suzi posed in episode 27.
This is, essentially, the first of a two-parter on how to reclaim the divine feminine within the Christian teachings to re-weave a faith that was originally founded in love and equality for all.
In this episode we talk about the magical alchemy of John Dee, 'scientist' to Queen Elizabeth I, about death and dying and of the miracles we have experienced.
We start today's episode with "How to clean a river with a broomstick" and move on to answer some of your questions about the Witch of Endor, the word 'Kingdom' and gender in general in the Bible.
We have a jolly good natter about the feminine and hidden things, the spiritual need for 'necessary suffering' and the understanding of sorrow. There's a surprising amount of giggling and some extra clarity over the idea of needing protection.
Today we are talking about the delights of foraging, the etiquette of asking permission of the land before we take from her and of the four journeys of humanity.
Today we discuss Lammastide, the first fruits of the harvest, how our need for connection and attention can hurt or heal and the work of Dr. Gabor Maté, author of 'When the Body Says No.'
Following on directly from last week's episode we're discussing how to trust the messages we receive and how much harder it is to heal when you are only half-an-inch out. From a distance, it's easy to see what's out of kilter but when you are 97% there, the task is much greater.
And there's a fabulous story about the guy who turned up for his own funeral.
Apologies that it is another rather faint recording, sound-wise - we were sitting in the garden and got too far from the microphone.
Today's episode returns to the topics of language and spells - and dives into the power of sorrow. We also chat about Elizabeth Goudge's wonderful children's book 'The Little White Horse' and how it melds Christianity, nature and mysticism into a beautiful hero's journey.
Today we are discussing our experiences of hearing and/or experiencing messages from the other worlds together with some heart-warming funeral stories of presence and kindness.
In this episode, with lot of laughter and a smattering of the f-word :-) , we discuss the process of going within to consult with the spirits for healing ... and the layers of reality within us.
We talk about living the simple life ... and as both of us tend to do that (and can do so because we are blessed to live on Dartmoor), there's some speculation as to why most of us don't or can't. The consensual reality of the West appears to be 'get more, do more, buy or do THIS — and tell everyone what we've done and what we've got.' But does it actually help?
Includes some of Maggy's stories of travelling in China in the early 1980s (in fact, a lot of Maggy's stories of China because Maggy simply wouldn't shut up about China...)
This time, we do manage a bit about the solstice (which was just SO last week...) and how we are one part of a many-faceted reality. In this liminal time, we also look at the power of ENOUGH, and how humanity is mired in the commandment about 'covetousness' which is the end-point of breaking all the other commandments. So we take a look at the Law in the Judaeo-Christian traditions, especially the mystical interpretation of the Ten Commandments.
.... but isn't.
We meander from the turning of the year (maiden to crone) through the topic of abortion and its effect on the soul, to healing and into privilege. Basically, it's two middle-aged white women finding that the language we know how to use makes us terminally inarticulate about the "othering" that is currently being exposed in the world.
Quite a bit about righteous anger too...
We also repeat the part about the ash tree because we had to move from the garden to sitting under the garage doors because of the rain and forgot where we were. But it's a bit worth repeating. :-)
Oh, and a lot of use of the f-word in this one too.
Maggy tells more about her life as a Christian mystic. And we continue the discussion on spells, including the 'spell' that matter and spirit could possibly be separated. Also, the work of Devon healer, John Wadlow, who helps people remove the enthralment of negative spells that affect their health. John's book can be found here.
Have you ever thought about the reason why it's called 'spelling' when we write out words? No **** Sherlock! Words are spells. As Suzi says, 'Words create the track down which the reality train travels.'
We examine the weave of our thoughts, words, actions and ancestral stories and how responsible we may be for how our lives turn out.
We look at the importance of holy anger rather than retributive anger, at the cracking of the millennia-old patriarchy and the power of tough love and forgiveness.
Maggy's on a bit of a rant today! She is focusing on the work of Caroline Myss after watching this online free workshop.
Following on from our discussion about the origins of Biblical tithing, we talk of the degree of separation between the human race and the rest of the World and what may help to assist reunion. If anything is sacred, then surely everything is...
The one where Suzi asks Maggy why she's still a Christian when she seems (relatively) sane and connected :-)

Today we discover more of Suzi's ancestors and her first steps into shamanic arts, talk of miracles and healing - and of the time Maggy met that Barracuda on the day she wasn't sure she wanted to live...
That's quite a title this week! We look at the biology of two very particular chickens who started out as girls, laid eggs and then changed their minds, as an example of the fluidity of gender ... and share The Zakhor of Wellbeing, a Hebrew chant for the release of karma associated with plagues.
Click here for the link to the Zakhor so you can use it for yourself, those you love and the whole world.

We discuss what the modern world calls 'The Law of Attraction' - that like attracts like - and how it is taught both in the Bible and the Pagan traditions. Also the ego, or automatic belief system, which is is often the block to our attracting what we truly want to experience so, with stories from our lives, we show the re-weaving of the beliefs that once led us into sickness so that they may strengthen our - and hopefully your - health.
This is our first self-distanced recording with Suzi on the hillside above her home (to catch a signal) and Maggy in her chapel. It's in mono because of different recording software. We'll try and sort that next week. :-D
We still tend to refer to The Patriarchy, often without acknowledging that this is a system fuelled and supported both by the toxic masculine AND the toxic feminine. Today we take a look at those patterns in the Bible, life and the world and start to unravel the issue to re-weave harmony.
We begin with the adventure of the cake in the bath, followed swiftly by one of us breaking a chair. Flushed with success, we move on through the legend behind the dog collar to parthenogenesis and cultural appropriation. And that's quite enough big words for one episode. There's a rude word or so in there somewhere. And then more cake.
There are a load of pre-recorded shows out now which make no reference to the virus so we thought we'd record an episode on the day before lockdown (suitably sanitised apart from the language :-) ) with our thoughts. Watch out for the quotation of the decade from Suzi as to what the Great Mother thinks about all this ... and then we ramble off on other matters such as anger and love - and the wisdom of hiding cakes in the bath.
In the third podcast (recorded before lockdown) Suzi and Maggy discuss the Law of Three in both Earth Wisdom and Christianity, together with the perennial magic at the heart of the story of the Crucifixion. We are weaving a tapestry of stories...
In this episode we discuss our roles in re-weaving the great tapestry of life.
We must try to understand the meaning of the age in which we are called to bear witness. We must accept the fact this is an age in which the cloth is being unwoven. It is therefore no good trying to patch. We must, rather, set up the loom on which coming generations may weave new cloth according to the pattern God provides.
Mother Mary Clare
Hello. We are Maggy Whitehouse and Suzi Crockford and we both live in the wilds of Dartmoor, Devon. Maggy is the vicar and Suzi is the witch. Suzi is also a drum and rattle maker, a healer and a teacher of her witchy ways. Maggy is an author on Judaic mysticism and a stand-up comedian. We both delight in finding the linking threads between beliefs and exploring the patterns of creation so please join us on our first podcast where we are beginning the journey of walking paths of peace together.
