We live in a very results oriented culture, we’re obsessed with productivity and getting things done. We want to lose weight, make more money, get that promotion, and achieve our goals as quickly as possible. But anyone who has ever worked towards a worthwhile goal knows that results take time. Things don’t happen overnight, and while we’re working towards those goals it’s really easy to get discouraged and lose motivation especially when we encounter setbacks or things aren't developing as fast as we hoped they would. Focusing on our habits rather than our results is a great way to stay motivated, be consistent, and develop a way of living that aligns with our ideal selves.
