The uncomfortable truth is that there is only one truth. The world doesn't need more 'yay Sayers'. The world needs people who will speak the truth in love, and preach the true doctrine of the bible, whether uncomfortable or not.

Jesus, by healing the leper, reveals His authority as the King to cleanse the unclean. And this miraculous cleansing points to His greater work of cleansing sinners from sin. All who come to Him in humble faith will be made clean. Have you received the King's cleansing? Have you come to Him as the leper did?
We apologise for the recording not containing the reading. The passage was from Matthew 8:1-4:
When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. 2 A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
3 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. 4 Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” (NIV)

Jesus concludes the Sermon on the Mount by teaching that those who hear His words and obey build their lives on the sure foundation of Christ, while those who hear without obeying build on a foundation that will ultimately collapse. The question is: On which foundation am I building?

Jesus gives us a sober warning that not everyone who professes Him as Lord belongs to Him. Only those who do the Father's will are truly known by Christ. The question for us then, is: Does He know me?

Jesus calls us to fast for the right motive: not in flashy ways that displays a heart of self-absorption, but in secret humility and dependence on God which is ultimately rewarded by Him. Therefore, are we seeking human recognition, or are we pursuing true heart devotion before God that expresses our dependence on Him?

Jesus teaches that true happiness and blessing are found in the life of a Kingdom citizen—the Christian’s true identity as a redeemed sinner—marked by poverty of spirit, mourning over sin, and meekness. We are therefore called to ask: do our lives reflect these Kingdom qualities, or do we seek blessing and happiness elsewhere?
The Sinless King calls us to follow Him. This is the most important decision any human being could make in their lives. Do you follow the King?
Jesus, the Sinless King, denies sin and remains perfect, to walk the walk we never could. And it is through our Sinless King that we are made right with the Father.

John the Baptist’s arrival announces the urgent call to turn from sin and live in genuine repentance, because the kingdom of God is near. So we must ask: "Have you truly repented?", "How do you know your repentance is real?" and "What are you trusting in?"
Matthew reveals Jesus as the true Israel and the greater Moses whom God protects to accomplish His saving mission. Because we are united to Him, we can trust that God is also working all things for our good.
The coming of Jesus reveals our hearts: some oppose Him like Herod, some ignore Him like the religious leaders; but those who truly seek Him, like the Magi, worship and give Him their best. So we must ask where our hearts are toward Him, and turn to the true King in repentance and worship — the One who calls all nations to come under His rule.
Through Christ's supernatural birth, God reveals to us His promised, divine Saviour - Jesus. He was born without sin that He might save His people from their sin, giving us hope of forgiveness and a new life.
Jesus' genealogy, though tainted by brokenness and sin, reveals He is the promised Christ - the true King of Israel and the Deliverer of all the nations. We can therefore have assurance that the good news of God's Kingdom is open to all people, and that our sin can never overrule God's promises and faithfulness to the believer.
With all sorts of "truths" and worldviews doing the rounds today, it is vital that we as Christians that God's Word is the ultimate truth, and therefore that it is still relevant and sufficient to guide and lead us.
Since the Bible is truly God’s Word, it ought to transform our lives, and to reject it is to turn against God.
No matter who we think is deserving of God's grace and compassion, His grace, mercy and compassion goes beyond that. By His grace and mercy alone are we saved, as well as those who we feel are less deserving.
The righteous Lord calls rebellious humanity to turn (repent) from their wicked ways and seek His forgiveness by urgently responding to the Gospel message.
In spite of our selfishness and inward-looking nature, God, in His compassionate nature, works in and through us to achieve His will.
God, in His sovereignty, uses even human disobedience to accomplish His purpose and desire to extend saving grace to the undeserving and ungodly, which leads people to praise and awe of Him.
The compassionate God shows His compassion to all, both the believer and the non-believer. Our role as His people is to make Him known in all areas of our lives.
Although it seems outwardly that those who don't follow the Lord have it better, we know that He is our portion, and we have fullness in that.

The “preacher” in Ecclesiastes, even with his pessimism, tells us that it is possible but only when we realise that our hearts always search for purpose or satisfaction in the wrong places and when we surrender control of life’s events to the One who knows all things.

When we are idle, and comfortable, our muscles stop working, we become weak, and fragile. But the more we flex our muscles, the more we are made 'uncomfortable', the stronger we get. This same concept applies to us as Christians, and we will be forced to 'flex our muscles', we will go through hardships and times of persecution as Christians, and we need to remember that these are the moment that will build us and strengthen us.

Does the church today resemble the church of old? What gave the Apostles Peter and John such boldness to preach the Gospel and stand up for the truth? Christ was the Cornerstone. The person on which the church movement was built. So often today Jesus isn't the cornerstone of our churches, but rather He is simply a feature wall. The same goes for our lives as Christians.

One of the great things about our faith as Christians, is that we are not called to live it or do it alone. God promises to send His Spirit with us so that we don't have to do it alone, simply because we can't. And we see this in Acts 1 and 2, as the Lord prepares the way for the Apostles to go out, before they go or do anything, God sends His Spirit.

Jeremiah 29:1-14 helps us understand what our mandate and calling is.
