The church started on the day of Pentecost, Text: John 15:2 and 8

Text: Acts 9:31

The church is built on the rock "(we are the church and Christ is the rock)

The growth of the church are classified such as:

Numerical growth, biological growth, transfer growth.

The Numerical church growth is a form of growth based on the increase in the number of people and members of the church.

The Biological Church growth is determine by people who were born into the church, and were trained in the doctrine of the church.

The Transfer growth is based on those who attend the church occasionally, for instance; last Sunday we had a huge number of visitors as well as members who did attend church last Sunday because of the marriage ceremony conducted last Sunday. Transfer growth isn't favorable as a christian because people tend to grow the church only when they have occasion, and the turn up in huge number only on that Sunday because of the occasion. As such the growth of the church will not be consistent.

The growth of the church isn't meant for the Pastor, Elder, Ministers, deacons or deaconess. Instead the growth of the church is meant for every individual. In other words the church isn't the physical building, instead the church consist of you and me, every individual makes the church. And as such the growth of the church is based on the committed of individuals and members of the church. With this understanding the church will grow, and gods name will be glorified.
