Jenny McFarlane is the definition of a fighter. Born with a severe lung disease called Cystic Fibrosis, she has been fighting for her health from the day she was born. While she was relatively healthy growing up, her health became significantly worse as she got older. Jenny’s illness progressed to the point that the only option left was a double lung transplant. Before the surgery, she was fighting for every breath.

In 2018, Jenny moved to Houston, Texas, to begin her transplant journey. Little did she know how quickly this would come to be. After only 5 days on the transplant list, Jenny received the gift of a double lung transplant.

After receiving this amazing gift, her world changed. Able to now breathe, Jenny felt like she could do anything and began taking advantage of every moment she had. Giving back to her community and spreading awareness about organ donation became Jenny's passion. She created the Pre to Post Transplant Podcast which gives members of the transplant community a place to listen to inspirational stories from other people going through the same experiences. In an effort to give back, Jenny started the Pre to Post Transplant Foundation. Her hope is to have an organization that could serve all members of the transplant community. Now, Jenny is working hard to make her donor proud of her by going out, spreading organ donation awareness, helping people, and living her best life.
