For February 22nd - 28th we have Mercury coming out of retrograde, Venus going into Pisces, and a Full Moon in Virgo- rapid changes on the heels of a difficult few weeks spent reflecting on past relationships, patterns, and behaviors.
The Virgo Full Moon can bring to light how to elevate your practice and refine your offering, or highlight just how out of sync you are with what truly brings you joy.

Identifying as an Afrikan Indigenous Creatrix, Iyapo Moyende Ngina aka The Rogue Black Girl, is a practitioner of Alternative Medicine with a primary focus in Traditional Chinese Medicine and additional backgrounds in Ayurveda, Reiki, and multiple other manual therapies and healing modalities. Iyapo is a Mother and a Grandmother, a musician, a devotee of the Yoruba Spiritual system called Ifa, an earthware alchemist, an educator, a traveler and a sovereign-world visionary. Having been born into an infamous Christian religious cult in the 70’s, Iyapo’s youth was absent the power of the magical arts including astrology, so she’s taken a particular interest in astrology as, not only, a tool for personal empowerment, but also as a medicine for the trauma of religious indoctrination, and a politically useful bridge-building lens through which she connects the past/present/and future.

Episode 1 Features Kimberlynn Acevedo AKA La Femme Papi speaking to the difficult task of setting boundaries with family when trying to heal from abusive and difficult situations at home that required her to stay silent and small in order to feel accepted at home. Communicating those boundaries to family, and navigating the feelings of guilt and shame associated with taking space from home can be very difficult, especially for children of immigrants.
In this episode we talk about what it's like to grow up in less than ideal homes, how to honor and respect parents and cultural lineage by taking space to declare your space your own, and what transformation and healing looks like for queer Latinx people in familia.
