Welcome to The Way Past Podcast. This podcast is hosted by Brett Morrell & Jared Moll. Our goal is deliver the testimonies of our Christian brothers and sisters who have a story of redemption to share. We find that each story shared inspires hope, a drive to persevere, and a conviction to share the message that restoration and redemption are available through the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
In episode 2, Jeff finishes up his testimony, and gives insight into how to have joy and maintain the spiritual fruits in your faith through all of life's circumstances.
Jeff grew up in small friendly town in western Massachusetts having both a loving father and loving mother. He had a great childhood and had a very solid upbringing. As he grew up and went to college, he saw that all of his friends and the people he surrounded himself with were after the American Dream, money and everything else the world tells you to want and should have. After experiencing some success in life, all he found was emptiness. Find out how he heard from God, started to experience joy, and found his purpose in God's calling on his life.
In this episode, Jared and Brett discuss the vision of the podcast, and give a brief overview of their personal lives.
This episode wraps things up for Darren's story. After losing his relationship with his wife, his life spiraled out of control in the same way he had done many times before. It was at the point where Darren felt that he had nothing left that he finally caved to experiencing God in his own personal life, forgetting and leaving behind his preconceived notions of who God was as told by others. His new found Father now leads him down a path of complete transformation, and Darren's new found calling now leads him to mentoring and discipling other men through their own transformative processes. Darren's final piece of advice is this - If God can redeem Darren's life, then God can also redeem yours if only given the opportunity.
Darren Moyer, born in California, experienced the deaths of his mother and grandmother at a very young age. His upbringing is the type that would make many of us feel like we've had an easy life. From early on, Darren had to depend on himself to get him through trauma without much help from the outside. After living some time with a Christian family that abused the gospel and grace, he didn't need much convincing that the religion he got to know was nothing more than a scam. Later on as he became a successful man in business, life again would take a turn for the worse. Eventually, after the birth of his son, his life began to truly transform.
