God proves His faithfulness 31 times. Israel's enemies have them outnumbered. God said fear not and also wait. Joshua left nothing undone that the Lord commanded.
Paul addresses the law as the tool God used to school us and govern us but only until the time set forth when Christ came and redeemed us, making us the children of God and heirs to the inheritance in the kingdom.

The Gibeonites put themselves in harms way when they entered into relationship with God's people by deception. God performed two miracles in giving victory. The strength to keep fighting comes from the Lord.
This week's devotional we look at the relationship between the law, the promises to Abraham, Christ (the seed that should come), and the believer.
In Joshua 9 God's people faced both obvious opposition, and deceptive opposition. We are to seek wisdom from God and choose our relationships wisely.
Galatians 3:1-12 - A Christian returning to works of the flesh to please God has returned to the curse of the Law already broken by the perfect, finished works of Christ at Calvary.
The division between the Jews and Gentile believers was brought into unity through one commonality - all mankind can only be justified with God through faith in Jesus Christ!
In Joshua 7 we find the dangers of sin in the camp. They lost their victory, and were overconfident. We learn not to trust in our own strength, and that failure is often followed by discouragement.

The walls of Jericho come down. In Joshua 6 we learn to keep our eyes on God not the challenge. Our victories come by faith not force.

In Galatians 1 - Paul selected by Christ given authority for the Church. Call to remembrance - we are saved by grace through faith. Rebuke of false teachings - don't be removed from the true Gospel of Christ. The charge to please God even if it does not appeal to man.
In Joshua Chapter 4 we learn that God wants us to 1. remember our deliverance, 2. teach our future generations, and 3. witness to other people.
