We may mistakenly think that people who can’t control their addiction lack moral principles or willpower and that they could stop their addiction simply by choosing to. In reality, addiction is a complex disease, and quitting usually takes more than good intentions or a strong will. It only takes the grace of God to take you out of such addictions.
