We are a group of U.S. military veterans dedicated to promoting integrity, service, and civility in public office by supporting candidates for local, state, and federal office who are committed to these principles. The five pillars of our organization are: strengthening and expanding civic engagement, holding elected and non-elected officials accountable for operating within the framework of the Constitution, protecting the integrity of elections and Americans' faith in the process, protecting the non-partisan character of national defense, and supporting efforts to expand public service opportunities.
This week we talk with Dr. Daniel Barkhuff, the founder and President of VFRL, about how the 2022 elections in the United States are shaping up. We will be discussing top issues, trends, and other important developments for this year's national elections. Dr. Barkhuff is a former U.S. Navy SEAL and currently works as an emergency room doctor.
For this episode of the VFRL podcast we will be discussing the importance of the rule of law with guest Ben Keiser. Mr. Keiser joined the Marine Corps while in college, serving in the reserves into law school, and deploying to theater for OIF. After graduating, Ben practiced at a large law firm in Washington, D.C. and New York where he focused on sustainability. He currently serves as the Chief Risk Officer of Elutions, a multinational AI company, and is a founder and Chairman of the AVA Foundation, a nonprofit working to increase equity, privacy, and impact in the app ecosystem. Ben is the son of a Vietnam era Navy SWO and grandson of a WWII Army medic.
