The messages playing out in music videos. Being a blue-collar cameraman gave Tony the ability to access and document this cultural revolution through the camera lens while adding to the cultural shift itself through his visual reporting. As Pat Canavan interviews Tony about his 40-year career, the podcast delves into the Canadian identity in pop culture outside of the US narrative. Doreen was elected Chief of the Shabot Obaadjiwan First Nation in 1999 becoming her community’s representative for the Land Claim Negotiations. She was honoured by her community with a headdress in 2005 – designating her as an ancestral and elected Chief. She was selected as an ANR in the 2005 elections. Doreen is committed to negotiating a modern-day Treaty that will benefit future generations.
