According to Merriam Webster tact is defined as “a keen sense of what to do or say in order to maintain good relations with others or avoid offense.” In other words, something I don’t have. I’m Sierra and I’m just a girl in her 20s trying to figure out the ins and outs of the world. I’m an unfiltered loud mouth who has a lot of opinions on a lot of things but above everything else I like to laugh, learn, and inform. On this podcast you can expect to learn about anything from how the universe formed…. to how I once got suspended from daycare. There are no secrets here just some raw hilarious and/or serious content. I hope you enjoy!
This is was a very fun episode to record with of course one of my bestest friends Los! We discuss some goals we want to set, how we want to set them, and how we plan to achieve them. Our friendship consists of us lowkey being all over the place and you definitely hear that but we still get our point across! Please enjoy another hilarious but insightful episode! During this episode I introduce my god brother who will be a big part of this podcast in the future. Together we talk about personal things, get a laugh out of each other, and overall have a lot of fun. This is the monthly segment called questions with Los where we answer questions whether they be serious or goofy and we just get to learn a lot from each other. I hope you enjoy!
We all have our insecurities and mine, in the past, was being perceived as "annoying". My aunt and I make light of it but also go into detail about how being yourself should not be annoying. We discuss the different personalities one may develop in order to fit in with people, along with this difficulty of being black and growing up in predominately white schools and how that can effect the way you want to be perceived by others. However, as long as you're you, it does not matter because people "don't have a heaven or hell to put you in."
De'Onte a good friend of mine will be helping me go through Erik Erikson's stages of development from infancy as we dive into the topic of developmental psychology. There is knowledgeable information about the different stages given but also how it could apply to your life and how it applies to ours. If you find interest please research more on developmental psychology it is such an interesting topic.
This a teaser episode and a little bit on what to expect for the future of this podcast!
