ReNew: The Believe in People Podcast explores addiction and recovery in the city of Hull. ReNew is a free and confidential drug and alcohol service for adults, families, carers and affected others in Hull. The service provides an end-to-end facility and support for adults within the city who may have alcohol or drug issue or who are a family member/significant other of those with a drug and/or alcohol issue. ReNew offers: Brief help to give information, advice and choices Structured support to become substance free; including medical interventions if appropriate A wide range of group work optionsHelp with wider issues (housing, benefits, training, employment, family, social & health needs)Aftercare and support to create a new substance free life ReNew, in partnership with The Forward Trust, also provide a dedicated independent service for family members and friends of people who are worried about their loved ones’ substance use. Those close to someone having problems with drugs and alcohol can often experience difficulties themselves and the family service offers a safe and relaxed environment to discuss personal well-being, either alongside others in similar circumstance, or in an individual, confidential appointment.
