Want to become a Guardian of Nature? Join ICORP from our ranger base in South Africa as we dive into what it is to be a Guardian of Nature and how you can play your part from anywhere in the world. Let us connect you with real-life conservationists, wildlife vets, Field Rangers and every person that has dedicated their lives to the preservation and protection of Nature. It was due to the lack of awareness that we decided, as an organisation on the ground, to speak to the world about the realities we face as a conservation non-profit working hard to protect, preserve and regenerate ecosystems.
Join the conversation as I speak to Control Room Manager Abram Molonyama as we talk about the two worlds a field ranger lives; here at work, a ranger is provided with tactical gear, a weapon, food, wifi and running water which are essentials, provided through generous donations to be effective at protecting wildlife. Where at home, Abram explains, is a different story, living in what he calls a "Kasi", a local South African name for a village where running water and food is a struggle, and the safety of your life is at considerable risk.
Listen in as we hear the untold stories and opinions of a field rangers living conditions back at home and how we can maybe better learn how we can better protect our rangers at home. Abram started as a student at ICORP and quickly ranked up not just for his skill but for his passion for wildlife and nature and to try and use Nature conservation as a conduit to fix the poverty problem in Southern Africa.

World Ranger Day 2022! We stand with the world's rangers in solidarity today to honour the responsibilities and work rangers do. They stand and protect what remains of our biodiversity. In our first Episode, ICORP is joined by long-time volunteer and supporter Zane Stott, where we discuss the fundamental needs for rangers on the ground.
This is our first episode of many hosted by ICORP; it was due to the lack of awareness that we decided, as an organisation on the ground, to speak to the world about the realities we face as a conservation non-profit working hard to protect, preserve and regenerate ecosystems.
