Hi Everyone! Anna, Emilia, Micaela, and I are back for part two of  Cocktails and Convos!

I sit down, grab a drink and catch up with my girls from high school. We usually have these chats every few months and catch up on EVERYTHING that has been going on in our lives. These chats are always so fun, and intriguing and oftentimes go on for hours...So I decided why not record one of our group conversations.

Surprisingly or maybe not at all, we all come from a mixed racial background, and for the second part of this episode of the new series, we jump right in:  discussing dating culture in Europe and Namibia, Sex & Drugs, Growing up in Namibia or a predominantly collectivist Society and then moving to a largely individualistic one and lastly all about our Hair: finding curly hair products in Europe, straightening hair and realizing natural curls are beautiful, the weather and what it does to our curls + more.

Let me know what you think!

Hi Everyone! I am so happy to introduce a new series on the show: Cocktails and Convos!

As you voted on Instagram, this episode is broken into two shorter parts instead of one long episode.

I sit down, grab a drink and catch up with my girls from high school. We usually have these chats every few months and catch up on EVERYTHING that has been going on in our lives. These chats are always so fun, and intriguing and oftentimes go on for hours...So I decided why not record one of our group conversations.

Surprisingly or maybe not at all, we all come from a mixed racial background and for the first part of this episode of the new series we delve right into the important questions: discussing growing up mixed race within Namibia and how that transpires abroad as we are all currently studying, or have just finished our bachelors.

We touch on our experience with safety at university and what we were taught about "being safe" back home in Namibia. Studying abroad and our lives at university, moving to a new country, missing home, adjusting and culture shock. The impact of COVID on our uni years, our 20's expectations vs. reality.

If you enjoyed listening today, the 2nd part will be out very soon and we get into the juicy stories!

Let me know what you think!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to the second episode of Season 2!

Today I sit down with someone very close to my heart, my dad! We discuss a part of Namibia's history that most Namibians don't even know about, a part of history that has been left out of the history books and that the current ruling party of Nambia doesn't admit to or acknowledge. I ask my dad to share 10 things he learnt from his 10 years in Lubango, Angola. Through the episode, we start to uncover a new perspective into the Hidden History of the SWAPO Party.

Let me know what you think!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Season 2 of the podcast!!!!

Today's episode is a big old catch-up on what's been happening, where I've been and what's coming next. I talk about the all too common question " What are you" and how this was just the push I needed from a 5 year old girl to pick up the microphone and speak to you again.

Let me know how you have been doing, and leave me a message or a question on Anchor.

Thanks for sticking around <3

In the episode, Martin discusses how he grew up in Namibia before it's independence and the effect the South African Apartheid Regime had on him and his early life, which led to his incarceration.
