Feeling lost and shattered after a devastating loss? Discover how to heal, grow, and thrive after heartbreak with powerful self-discovery techniques.
Meet Ashmeeta tonight at 6:30 pm MDT. She inspires and empowers those who are grieving, demonstrating that there is always hope and that the experience need not destroy or define them.
The Pain of Losing Hopes and Dreams:
When Ashmeeta's husband passed away, she grappled with an overwhelming sense of loss. The dreams they had nurtured together, the future they had envisioned, all seemed to vanish instantly. It was as if a piece of her had been taken away, leaving a void that seemed impossible to fill.
Furthermore, Ashmeeta was acutely aware of the absence of a male role model for her children. The weight of responsibility she felt as a single parent was immense, and the fear of failing her children loomed large.

Evil is rampant on the earth. It is disguised in various costumes with thick makeup or like a cockroach hidden in ice cream until you bite into it. But now it's not even hiding it is out in plain sight!
Join Ivette Lee on a journey of discovery as she bridges the gap between science and religion, exposes the roots of evil, and equips us with the armor of God to overcome it.
We live in times of rising crime, contention, corruption, and downright evil. Ivette's work has been focused on probing the question of nurture versus nature, which has been her focus for over twenty years.

If circumstance gave you power and purpose, what would you do? My name is Chris Schallert, and writing helped me to overcome my incredible shyness by helping me to create a character named Cadence Colo.
His story is in my book Mathers Odds. I started the book with the question, “If I had the power to overcome my limits, and if the object of my affection was even inclined toward me, would this be different?”
The power that Candence gave me to help me overcome my mental health challenges was incredible. Now I hope the readers will enjoy the story and find power in their fictional writing to help the world.

"The Busy Bridge That Got Its Break” is a children’s book written for readers of all ages. It’s a reminder to slow down, take a breath, and discover the beauty and needs that are often overlooked in humanity. Author Shane Svorec reminds us that living in the moment of the day is a call to action and a heartwarming reminder that we all carry heavy things and need a little attention and support. Anita M. McLaurin is an author, speaker, and coach who helps women and youth live their intended design. In her award-winning book, My Father Said I Could, she teaches that everyone has a gift to give the world and that all people should passionately pursue their purpose.“I am not what happened to me; I am what I CHOOSE to become.”And that’s when things started to change for me. I had a choice to operate from the good or the bad. I chose the good. After some time, I fondly remembered the good things–our home, porch conversations, and our parents' lessons. Most importantly for me, I remembered that my father always told me, “I could.”So, even though my brothers and I became part of that sad statistic, all was not lost. What preceded was an uplifting book. So many children wander today because they’re missing their fathers. I wanted them to know that a Heavenly Father cared for them whether they had a father in the home or not. If the occasional bad day has become the norm rather than the exception, it might indicate burnout. My guest, Carolyn Warren, can share what you can do about it and how she can help.We all have bad days...when even the most straightforward task requires us to engage all our limited reserves or when we’re irritated, apathetic, and have a short fuse. Who hasn’t had a time when they felt like running away from it all? With the demands of our modern-day lifestyle, we are challenged to manage our stress levels and balance work and home responsibilities. Usually, the bad days pass, and we recharge and return to feeling like our usual selves. But if that bad day turns into a week, a month, or even a year or more? If the occasional bad day has become the norm rather than the exception, it might indicate burnout. So let’s define what burnout is. Burnout is a state of emotional, psychological, and physical exhaustion that results from enduring chronic and long-term stress. To understand burnout, we’ll dig deeper into its symptoms and look at ways to prevent it. According to Association for Psychological Science, there are five different types of burnout: 1) Overload is the frenetic, hair-on-fire work ethic of giving it all you’ve got until there’s nothing left to give.2) Overload burnout makes people feel their goals and ambitions are out of their hands and that they are at the mercy of outside factors such as unrealistic expectations, demanding bosses, or office hierarchy.3) Under-load is the absence of challenging opportunities to engage you. Lack of opportunity for personal growth and development can lead to disinterest and poor performance, negatively impacting morale. 4) Under-challenged, we tend to become cynical and manage stress by withdrawing from life. Sometimes burnout results from being bored.5) Worn-out is when a person is emotionally fatigued from dealing with stressors, and instead of choosing ‘fight or flight,’ they give up. They may still want to achieve a goal but lack the motivation to push through the necessary obstacles. To learn more about Carolyn Warren: https://www.apriltribegiauque.com/pos...LET'S CONNECT • My Podcast (Beacon of Light Podcast): / @apriltribegiauqu... • Follow me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/26967... • Follow me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/april-tri... • Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/aprilgiauque
It is an emotion that has such intense power behind it that if you don't allow yourself to go through it, it will destroy you. So how do you grieve without losing yourself to the darkness?
My Podcast guest, Stacey Greene, will share how.
She is the author of two books: Letters To The Deadman: https://www.amazon.com/Letters-Dead-M...
Two young boys argue over whether Santa is real and learn a life lesson in giving. Is it Christmas? Well, why not? If we are kind to others just to be kind, could it be Christmas? Rebecka Vigus will share with us all about it, and more in her book called "Santa is for Real: But he Doesn't Always Wear a Red Suit.
Teddy Brinker and Tommy Huff. The boys were best friends and aged twelve. One believed in the power of Santa, and one believed Santa was your parents. Throughout the book, the two boys and their dads built a wheelchair ramp so a student in their school could come home for Christmas. Their moms got into the act by preparing food for the family and taking their children to shop for gifts.
The entire project pulled in neighbors and friends of the family, and all were there when the young man came home. Even the local press. This is when Teddy, who had reluctantly agreed, made the connection.
I believe it’s great for children to read for enjoyment. It’s even better when they can take something away from it.

Living with trauma is not easy. You are always on guard; you numb your emotions to avoid getting triggered by the simplest things, and you always act as if everything is ok, even though you are slowly wilting away inside. And then, one day, you have had it. You want the pain and the constant reminder to leave; you want your life back. But then you may wonder: “What for? Is it worth going through all those memories again? What happens after I heal?”
I used to live with the trauma for many years. I know how devastating it can be. But, I have found a way to heal, and what I discovered in my journey and afterward is that you won’t know how much trauma is stopping you from truly living until you have released yourself from its grasp. Life, indeed, is impressive once you have released your trauma. And in this blog post, I am giving you three reasons to show how much healing truly can change your life.

When you invited me not only to be a guest on your podcast to talk about my relationships with my horses but also to choose the theme for our chat, my mind immediately began rifling through the familiar ways in which I’ve thought about those relationships. And then something stopped me. And that something—I’m certain you’re familiar with it—was the inner voice that speaks to us, sometimes loudly and in a whisper. And what came through was the idea that I should take a fresh look and see if any new perspectives might present themselves.

Those phrases have made my blood boil. Especially in seasons when I was hurting and doing the best I could.
If I knew how to give it to God or let it go don't you think I would have already?!
No one wanted to hear about my mess, or I couldn't make them understand. It seemed that listening to my struggle would contaminate them.
God doesn't treat your pain that way. He is not embarrassed, overwhelmed, or afraid of your pain. There is nothing you are going through now or have gone through in the past that will keep Him away. God uses your pain for good.
Is Your Life a Mess? Do You Believe God Can Help? Can God Turn Your Mess Around?
God never wastes your pain. Bring your mess to his majesty. Give it to God and let go and let God—those words used to make my blood boil. Especially in seasons when I was hurting and doing the best I could. If I knew how to give it to God or let it go don't you think I would have already?!
Join me tonight at 6:30 pm MST with Mukkove Jonson to find out more about how she took her Mess to Majesty.

Joy at Christmas and beyond is a statement that is true if you want it to be. Join us tonight, at 6:30 pm to find out just how true this statement is. As we enter the month of Christmas, everyone is thinking more about joy.
Actually, joy is not just for Christmas. Joy is being fully aware of God’s presence in your life every day. Joy is our natural default emotion. We come into this world as joyful beings and we are on Planet Earth to bask in that joy and expand our joy outward into the Universe.
One of the biggest benefits of being joyful is a sense of connection. You feel more connected to yourself, those you care about, and the world you live in. However, there are times in our lives when we are not in a position to ‘choose joy.’
Whether it be grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, or any other heavy emotion, sometimes life saps every ounce of goodness from your life. It is at those times, I encourage you to look for moments of joy in your day. Just one small thing – a smile, the sunrise, a kind word - anything that you can hold on to. Continually remind yourself of this moment when you are feeling down.
GRATITUDE As you spend more time expressing gratitude and being in a state of gratefulness, the more joy you will feel in your life. You are filling up your wellspring of joy. Joy is becoming your default emotion.
Many of you know my faith journey and background, but many of you might not. I invite you to join in on this podcast given by my friend April Tribe Giauque, titled Why I Stay. With our friend, Ivette Lee, we'll discuss matters of faith, particularly our unique faith as Latter-day Saints, and why we stay active in the church we love. We hope to bring awareness to those who question and to strengthen, uplift, and inspire those who need assurance of God's eternal plan, especially during these troubling times.
Stephanie Duesing shares it big time! Honesty is a rock that we break ourselves against as the tide of trials slams us into it.
My guest, Stephanie Duesing, knows all about it. Come and be inspired through your trials to see that you can still have gratitude! 6:30 pm Mountian.

How does your upbringing and the challenges in your life impact your expression of gratitude and appreciation in life? How does it affect you, your family, your friends, and those within your community?
As a young child with six siblings, I learned the importance of sharing and appreciating what we had early in life. My mom was the strength we all relied upon as my dad passed when I was 12, which led to changes in our home life. As she worked, I watched my younger siblings, thus developing my caretaking skills at a young age. Although things were tough, mom always encouraged us to help others, take less whenever possible, share with family, friends, and those in need in our community, and always express gratitude.
Do you know how to be grateful? It starts by getting quiet, then listing and counting what you have. Suddenly you notice all of your blessings. This is what happened to my guest, Trisha Fowler. She looked over her life, and despite the heartache, abuse, and being a single mom, she discovered love and light! Join us tonight at 6:30 pm MST for a humbling discussion. You'll be counting your blessings soon!
My name is Patricia Fowler. My book is Turning a Blind Eye to Red Flags. I want to take a minute to express my feelings about some things I have experienced over the years and about where I am today in my life. I must admit that I have been through a lot of trauma, hurt, and pain from a young age. Being a single mom of 4 is or was not easy, but I am grateful that I could do it.
I am grateful for that so much that I can write this here today, but it still doesn’t adequately reflect the gratefulness that I feel inside of my heart for those who pour out to me, on me, and love on me in so many ways. The most honorable thing I could ever do is to say thank you to each and every person I have come across in the last three years of my life who has made an impact on me to be where I am today and on the path that I am looking to be moving forward within the future. Join us Tomorrow, November 8th, 2022, at 6:30 pm MST for a wonderful Beacon of Light Podcast interview.

Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and not recognized the reflection staring back at you? You ask yourself, "who am I? How did I get here?" Following that reflection, do you cry, scream, or say negative things to yourself? But...did you know you have the power to create your own story?

Almost every author I meet says the same thing – I wish I could sell more of my books! That sentiment is perfectly understandable. Most authors spend 6-12 months writing and putting their books together.
Once it’s complete, you want to be rewarded for all your effort and get paid! Unfortunately, most authors only sell a few hundred copies and end up in a vicious circle of constantly writing with very little reward. If you want to break this cycle and start getting paid for your writing, there are three things you absolutely must do.

What is a personal brand, and why do I need one? We all have a story to tell. The events and experiences we encounter in our lives shape who we are and how the world looks at us.
Personal branding allows you to take control of the narrative. It gives you the power to address where you are and where you want to be in a way that moves you toward the desired outcome.

Do you know how to escape abuse? What is your exit strategy? What is your plan? Many women in abuse need to create a plan, build a network, get financially ready, and then trust themselves to know when it is time to go.
My guest, Anna Karson, has a story that is powerful and will leave you wanting to read more. You are all invited to the Free podcast tomorrow night at 6:30 pm mountain to hear her escape from her abyss of abuse.
Young and Married My life turned tragic when I was eighteen. I got married right out of high school—young and dumb. For the first month of the marriage, things seemed fine, and then one night, they drastically changed for the worst. My husband became violently abusive.
It was the only time I fought back because he made a point to show me what would happen if I tried to fight back in the future.
The abuse continued for over two years, and I felt I had no way out, as he had promised to kill my family and me if I tried to leave. I know people often don’t understand why someone just doesn’t walk out the door. We don’t have a choice. My time for freedom finally loomed ahead when he was going to be deployed to Iraq for Desert Storm.
I decided that was the only time I’d be able to leave, but I didn’t let on that I was watching my getaway. He beat me severely just a few weeks before he was to leave. Luckily, he went to work and bragged about it.
Once his C.O. heard about it, he immediately had him taken into custody. It gave me a minute to catch my breath. The downside was that the military would order him to stay home and work on our marriage. What was I going to do? I would die as he would blame me for this. I talked to his C.O. again and pleaded with him to have them drop all charges and let him go. I would die as he would blame me for this.
By the time he left and I was headed back to my home state, I was extremely ill because of the many beatings that I had endured.
Freedom—God Never Promised Us an Easy Road
By the time he left and I was headed back to my home state, I was extremely ill because of the many beatings that I had endured. From the beatings, I began to suffer more and more. I have eventually released from him was worth everything. However, I went into acute kidney failure and nearly died on my 21 st birthday. God blessed me with a kidney transplant, allowing my dad to be a great match as my donor.
Over the next twenty-five years, my road would be riddled with many significant obstacles. I eventually rejected that kidney and had to have a second transplant (thanks to one of my brothers then).
I have had primary cancer three times, one of which was very severe in my liver. Because of multiple health reasons, I could not have biological children, so we fostered and adopted four beautiful kids (one with severe mental and developmental delays).
As the years passed and God used all that fear I had packed up and brought with me when I got away from the monster, He was still there to guide me through each horrific health issue I faced. I was firm in my belief that God would get me through it. My faith was strong, and I never wavered when I was sick.

Can shoes heal you?
Is it about a pair of shoes specifically? It might be, but what if the shoes lead you to a journey of healing?
What would cause parents to purposely wear Special Shoes?
Because they are aware of the little feet following in their footsteps.
Tonight, 6:30 pm MDT, I talk to the Amazing Susan Powers and find out about her book "Special Shoes for My Little Feet" and the impact it is having on children and parents everywhere.
When Susan’s little granddaughter toddled out wearing her oversized high heels, exclaiming “I’m Grandma!” Susan was prompted to take a deeper look at the legacy she was leaving behind. Along with Susan’s journey to give her children and grandchildren a powerful legacy, the moment inspired her to write a picture book about a child’s adventure into the lives of his family by wearing their shoes.
Susan lives with her family and two cats, Leo and Arlo, in Northern California.

Why do we numb our pain instead of facing it?
Why do we dwell in the past victimhood and cycle in pain about all of the what-ifs and who should have rescued us? Travis felt that he should have been protected from the abuse and when he wasn't, the darkness and shame he felt grew.
But then, a turning point happened, and he started writing his story, "We Are All Fireflies."

Have you ever felt emotionally, physically, or mentally vulnerable or at risk for sabotage? Has your day or overall mood ever suffered because of something someone else said or did? Maybe your outlook changed when you received some devastating news, or things didn’t go as planned? Whatever the situation, your mindset is your responsibility and priority.
How we internalize outside influences, overcome situations we cannot change, and protect ourselves from ongoing, relentless negativity is a role we must OWN. Otherwise, we become targets and add credibility to the saying “misery loves company.”
MINDSET We all face heartache, deal with disappointments, carry some baggage, and find ourselves on the receiving end of experiences that are just NOT FAIR. Still, our mindsets, attitudes, and perceptions are our own, and we choose whether we want to be an excuse or an example. Do we allow our past or present circumstances to become a crux, or do we use them to catapult us forward? The difference between the two is our mindset!

Because I left Domestic Violence Blessing number 5,814: Hope Because I left Domestic Violence Blessing number 5,814: HopeWhat is good old fashion hope? How can it help you? Is it something we desire? Is it something that helps us to believe in something beyond ourselves? Does it have power? My heart had a choice when I woke up today and learned about the volcano tsunami warnings. I could choose to fear or have hope. I think it is a choice every day.
How Many Men Hire a Hitman to Kill Their Wife? The answer for me was one. Why?
April, you quote, “The breath of life gives us our words to share our stories. May we all be brave enough to pick up the pen and write.”
And I quote, “All that is needed for the forces of evil to succeed is for enough good men to remain silent.”
How did I get here?
You probably don’t know unless you read the book, but my ex-fiance had a hitman paid to kill me. Yes, it indeed has been an unusual couple of years.
Now that I am on the other side of that debacle, as I fondly refer to it, I hope to inspire and help you survive and thrive. I think I am somewhat qualified due to what I have been through.
How did I accidentally become a writer and an advocate for empowering women?
It was by accident.
It was because an amazingly huge, unbelievable diabolical story happened in front of me, and I knew I had to put pen to paper. (Well actually polished fingernail to keyboard)
My story was public. My humiliation splashed across social media as if my story was gossip fodder, and my pain; my feelings were irrelevant. I felt personally unheard, invisible, and a public joke. My heart was breaking, and I felt alone. I had been isolated and, out of habit, dug into my cocoon of silence, further Ashamed and self-hating.
Originally I wrote the novel, ‘The Girl who Roared Quietly “, titled “What Happened to Paul Carter? “.
And I wrote it to survive. – Literally.
So, there I was writing a book and self-publishing it, just so this pesky hitman and his employer knew there was a public record of all the hows and whys in which an ordinary woman found herself in this unusual situation. The last thing I expected was that many other victims would contact me.
I was dragged out of survival mode into helping others, which was the best thing that could have happened. It took the focus of my mind from myself and brought me back out of introspective self-focus. Instead, I felt the responsibility and weight of dozens of victims, all pinning their hopes of justice on me, hoping I could dig through their various stories and filter the facts to solve what had happened. And then wishing I could use their accounts to ensure the justice system did something.
What I discovered through the process was most of us primarily want to be heard. Validated. Not dismissed and silenced. We want to feel that we are seen. This is why I feel so strongly about helping your story get printed. To the point, we will listen and write it for you.
And as I got stronger, women began asking questions. I realized that domestic violence, rape, bad relationships are so shunned and shamed that it isolates victims further. I want to talk about the uncomfortable, increase our awareness and provide you with knowledge and skills to help improve your situation.
My family settled in rural Georgia in the 1970s during the height of the integration process, where children were being bussed all over the place. Everyone was trying to find their place in the community. And then, in plops this traditional Indian family from India. We were the only ones at the time. There was not a global understanding of the fact India is a country, so we often were asked what tribe we belonged to. After a few years, my parents finally said we were Cherokee, fatigued from explaining.
We were kept at arm’s length to the point where we could not secure housing and were shunned at many restaurants.
School for Me? You can imagine what life was like. In 2nd grade, my teacher asked me to be tested for the gifted program. School was easy for me, and social situations were complex. As Hindi is my first language, I struggled with spoken words but paper and pencil, totally my wheelhouse.
This was the second time I was taking this test, and I felt pretty darn confident that I would make it this time. My 1st and 2nd-grade teachers thought this program would be a good fit for me as I was a high academic achiever. Unfortunately, the score that came back in 1st grade didn’t meet the arbitrary metric for the program, so I had more confidence going into it the second time. But it was not to be…again as the score didn’t meet the district requirements. I was devastated. My grades dropped, my confidence shattered, and my love of learning was gone.
My parents watched in sadness, not knowing how to help. As immigrants, they were at a loss. They come from a hierarchal society where you don’t question authority, so they didn’t know they had rights, could ask questions, or pursue other avenues. They did not realize they could engage with the school, and no one guided them.
I became a mediocre student with no desire to invest in my education and reluctantly went to college at my parents’ urging. This feeling of worthlessness haunted me for years until I began working and slowly started to see a passion emerge. As a special education teacher, I dreamt of parents coming to the school and sharing their valuable insights regarding their children’s behavior, social circumstances, and any triggers that may impact their learning in schools but rarely saw that type of partnership.
My own Children When my own four children were starting school, I volunteered in their schools and began advocating for my children by building relationships with teachers, administrators, and even district personnel. Soon, I was sought out for larger, more systemic challenges facing the schools and district. Throughout my children’s educational career, I became a trusted partner in my children’s educational planning, which, in turn, helped every student in our school system.
Skills and Experiences For the past several years, I have focused on honing those skills and experiences I developed as a partner in my children’s education by writing a book,
Parent Power: Navigate School and Beyond;
When parents hold their newborn for the first time, they rarely know what is in store for their little one’s future. Sure, parents have hopes and dreams, but where do they begin? I walked into his home on my first day. I had just left a career in adult rehab and entered the role of a direct service occupational therapist in a cyber school setting. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. One of the first questions his mom asked me was, “How can my child read, but not be able to write?”
Having no response, I answered with the typical, “I don’t know, but I will do my best to find out.” That answer took about six or seven years to answer. I have continued to research dysgraphia and its impact on student's educational process.

Life is busy and stressful and sometimes overwhelming, but it is also filled with beauty and joy, and love. We all know this, and most of us can navigate difficult times by holding onto beauty and hope. But sometimes the hardships start outnumbering the good times, and it’s hard to keep a positive attitude and perspective.
The difficulties may be major (a divorce, the loss of a job or loved one, a move), but they don’t have to be. Sometimes it’s the little things that we “should” be able to handle that keep piling on until we’re no longer able to cope. This may manifest in physical maladies (daily headaches or stomach aches, insomnia, panic attacks). Or the overwhelming might be more subtle, more hidden--feelings of loneliness, failure, hopelessness, even despair. Our tendency may be to push these feelings aside and try to muscle through. But if left unchecked this can lead to depression and even thoughts of suicide.
Suicide Such was the case with Aimee Fuhrman, author of Smudged Pages: Letting Go of the Lies and Letting God Write Your Story. “From the outside my life was idyllic,” Aimee says. “Nothing in my life spelled suicide, but that is exactly where I found myself several years ago. I had bought into the lies of the Enemy, and they were impacting my identity. I had this standard of perfection I was trying to live up to, but I couldn’t do it, so I was caught in a cycle of false failure and guilt.”
Aimee has since found healing, and her heart is to help other women shed the lies they are believing and find their true identity in Christ Jesus. She does this through her book and her ministry Smudged Pages, which also includes a workbook (The Smudged Pages Companion: A Guide to Letting Go of the Lies), an online course that can be taken with or without coaching, as well as speaking engagements and women’s retreats.
Did you spend countless hours writing, editing, and publishing your work? Did you make sure everything was perfect so the message and story deep inside you could be shared with the world?
Did you dream of the impact your book would have? The letters and emails you’d receive from people whose lives were changed by what you wrote only to be disappointed by minimal sales? Did you question why you wrote the book if only a few people were going to read it? If you weren’t going to be paid for your work?
JOIN ME with David Branderhorst to find out more about how authors can really make an impact in the lives of others today. He has a way to help you get your "book funnel" into the hands of the right people and they will connect with your message!

How many of you know someone in abuse, but you don't know what to do, or how to help? Please come and find out what you can do. Please, we must save more lives. It is up to all of us. Supporter's Toolkit: Leaving is often the most dangerous time for a victim of abuse because abuse is about power and control.
When a victim leaves, they are taking control of their lives and threatening the abusive partner’s power, which could cause the abusive partner to retaliate in very destructive ways: physical, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and financially. For myself, I had three main supporters that helped me. 1) family, 2) a co-worker, 3) a stranger who was in the right place at the right time--her name was Gloria. (I'll share more about Gloria later). Their support was built on trust and they were there for me when I was ready to make my move. Without them, I would have never made it out and I’m 99% sure I would have been a tragic news story on the evening news.
We know people in abusive situations. As friends, family, co-workers, and strangers, WHAT can we do to help them? We want to be a light for them to get out of the darkness! With COVID19, the numbers are rising. More victims are trapped with their abusers. HOW DO WE HELP THEM OUT OF THIS ABUSE? ANSWER?? BECOME A SUPPORTER! Join us to give two books of my book Pinpoints of Light: Escaping the Abyss of Abuse to survivors in 11,000 Shelters Across the US! Give two books today.
Get your friends and family involved. Beacon of Light Podcast tonight! 6:30 pm Mountain so same 7:30 pm Central.

Slice!
Came the sound of the sharp knife against the plump red skin of the tomato. “Thinner!” harshly whispered shame. I stopped my knife mid slide and looked at the tomatoes. They were nearly transparent.
“Are you really going to eat that much?”
Scoffed Shame again. I felt pricked. Right to my heart, and I felt more of my light dim. I put one back and think, “there; I’ll just eat three.” I looked up for approval; all was silent.
Shame. Shame says, “you are not enough, or you are too much.” It follows you around like a Shadow, The Shame Shadow©. It’s behind or beside you, like a black hole sucking all your energy and robbing your light from shining.
The pain, fear, abuse, and shame are bars of a cage— a Comfort Cage you built. You sit content in the darkness. Even though it is unhealthy, you are used to it.
Suddenly, something catches your eye. You see the light. The shadow whispers look away, but you are drawn to it. You stand and reach for the door and slide it open.
Do you want to come out of the darkness to find healing —healing from great pain and shame? It won’t be easy leaving your Comfort Cage. Healing journies are painful. But don’t give up! You are not alone. I’ll shine my light for you, and you will come Out of Darkness.
