Chamiah Dewey Fashion is the sustainable, adaptive womenswear brand for disabled women and women with Dwarfism. On this platform, we chat with women from all around the world with all kinds of disabilities and conditions to discover their top challengers with clothing and how they’ve learnt to make clothing work for them. The aim of this is to gather research and challenge us with our own fashion brand so we can be more inclusive.

In this episode I chat with Jess, a 28 year old mum from the UK, Jess has hypoachondroplasia which is similar to the most common form of dwarfism, achondroplasia but people with hypoachondroplasia tend to be slightly taller and more proportionate. Jess is really open and honest in this episode which I really appreciate, she discusses the issues around strangers staring at her, feeling uncomfortable in her own clothes and not being able to buy from the children’s section like some other people with dwarfism. In today’s episode we chat with Alana from @alanababana. In a world where clothing can seem really inaccessible and quite disheartening Alana makes the best of what she’s got and she is a real inspiration for people around her due to her really positive energy and her outlook on life; she’s a glass half full kind of girl which I really love and I think she’s really inspiring to anyone that that follows her on social media.
