This podcast is about telling our stories of the twisting path we’ve been on and are still on, as we listen to God’s voice in our lives. Join us as we invite guests to tell about their stories of vocation and formation.
On our last episode of the season, Beth Jarvis joins us to talk about Emmanuel Christian Seminary's Ministry Resource Center as well as her experiences in ministry. She graduated from Point University, served at Bread Coffeehouse (you might remember from the episode with Chip Jurskis) and then went to Emmanuel. After seminary, she helped start a campus ministry in Tübingen, Germany, and came back to the states to work for Globalscope.
Renata Vicente has worked in Brazil for over ten years. After moving to the US to pursue an MDiv, she served as a Chaplain Resident in Johnson City, TN. Now she is back in Brazil where she serves as an Associate Pastor at First Christian Church in Taguatinga - a working class neighborhood in Brasilia.
Sergio is a Chilean immigrant to the US who serves as a pediatric hospital chaplain in Chicago. He has experience working in diverse settings with diverse populations and is wonderful at sitting with people in tough situations.
Sallie Biles is a local, Johnson City resident who has gone to school and worked in the area her whole life. She finished her MDiv at Emmanuel Christian Seminary last year and has worked at First Christian Church Preschool, Good Samaritan Ministries, chaplaincy at the VA Hospital, Appalachian Christian Camp, and currently serves at the Youth Director at Borderview Christian Church in Elizabethton, TN.
