The podcast for the movie lover generation. Raised on home video rentals, late fees and the personal connections to the movies we still love
Here she is, back from 2023 to her first show of 2024 I am joined by Lisa Aragon, also knows as “The Wife”.
We discuss the 80s classic “Can’t Buy Me Love” which inspired The Beatles chart topper (don’t look that up)
In a nutshell, an unpopular nerd rents the popular head cheerleader for personal gain in the form of public admiration and teenage flesh.
The basic premise for this movie is…..questionable. But 1987 will not be denied. Nor will Patrick Dempsey’s hair.
After a brief hiatus Generation Film is back and ready to start 2024…
(As long as it's still in Q1 then it counts)
I am joined by fan favorite, the bro in law, Mike Sandoval.
We stop into the DOUBLE DEUCE for a quick drink, a rowdy fight and possibly sex with customers.
Yeah we’re going to a Road House, gonna gave a RE-AL… a good time!!!!!
A killer lineup of classic characters: Dalton (The Cooler), Wade Garrett (The Legend), Tilgman (The Owner), Jimmy (The hired gun) and the one of the best villains of the decade, Brad Wesley.
“Christ, JC Penny is coming here because of ME! You ask anybody, they’ll tell ya!”
Has there ever been a bigger flex in cinema history??? I doubt it.
Ho-ho-ho!!!
Tis the season to bring down ex military mercenaries turned drug dealers.
We welcome back the bro-in-law, Mike Sandoval, to do what he does best and share the spirit of the season (heroin), glad tidings (video tapes…) and Christmas cheer (…pornographic video tapes).
And just because there’s hollow point bullets, mercury switches and jugs, there’s no reason why this cant be a Christmas classic!
Yippie ki-yay!!
When the moon hits your eye like a big Pizza Pie….. that means only one thing
Yours Truly has decided to take a stab at the classic (1987) rom-com, “Moonstruck”
I have searched high and low and found the perfect guests for this episode. Then it hit me. Like a SLAP!
The Wife (Lisa) and the Superfan (Lisa). Both with Italian roots to shed some lights on the craziness.
(Plus the wife would never forgive me if I do a Nic Cage movie without her)
Pull up a chair and raise a glass….. To Family!
Welcome to 90s high school slasher movie: more attitude, more cynicism and less jugs!
(Fail, Wes Craven!!)
I am joined once again by the Bro-in-law, Mike Sandoval, as we sink our teeth and butcher knives into this yesteryear classic.
We explore the pressing issues like did Casey’s family own a F*cking Vineyard!!! Does Sidneys dad ONLY own denim, and above all…
….Maureen Prescott: wife, mother and apparently the hottest piece of ass in all of Woodsboro?!?!?!
We discuss!
Right smack dab in the middle of Spooky Season is the perfect time to surprise a special guest.
The Bro in law, Mike Sandoval, celebrates another year so why not give him a surprise gift.
Yours Truly calls an audible ON AIR and switches from the agreed upon movie (“Scream”…to be done later) to his all time favorite movie: Jurassic Park.
Come travel back in time to the summer of 1993: When 11 year olds ruled the Earth.
Its also when we first learned that all of our future female companions started their improper Goldblum lust! They tried to fight it but Jeff…. “uh…finds a way.”
Spielberg: “The 1980s family unit....Let’s scare them to death”
Welcome to Spooky Season (AND Cuesta Verde) GenFilmers.
I am joined by my favorite nostalgia partner, the older sister Elise De La Cruz.
We jump into the deep end of the pool with both feet as we reminisce about the NOT STEVEN SPEILBERG DIRECTED classic, “Poltergeist”.
The snowy tv channel never looked the same again.
If ever there was a 90s movie that was meant for my guest its this one.
Back on the show is Michael Clyde here to sink out teeth into this Hollywood crime caper.
We bring you pinnacles: the coolest Travolta, the most hilarious Hackman.
We also bring evergreens: Rene Russo!!!!
Loan sharks, screenplays, murder, drycleaners, airport lockers, D.E.A… you know….show business!
This is gonna be our “Driving Miss Daisy”
I am joined by an old karaoke pal who decided to leave THAT glory and spotlight behind and become an award winning radio talk show host.
For the first time on the show I have KFI AM 640’s own Mo’ Kelly. For such a big fish only a classic will do: The Karate Kid
We cover it all in this episode. Who REALLY would have won the “All Valley”, Thurston and Lovey Howell and Beverly D’Angelo (believe it all makes sense).
And of course all the classic lines…
“GET HIM TO SWEEP THE WAX!!!!”
Nope….that is not right….but it’ll come to me.
This was always on the list.
But with the passing of Paul Reubens I felt it only fitting to fast track this episode lickity split!
So welcome back the Bro in Law, Mike Sandoval, and The Wife, Lisa Aragon.
We reminisce, we share and of course we laugh. But be warned.
You don’t wanna get mixed up with a pod like us….and you know why.
This was truly one of my favorite episodes!
I will make this episode description short and sweet so we can get on with the downloading.
I am joined by my best girl: My daughter, Gina Rose.
I let her ask me ANYTHING about “Grease”. She is 9.
How could this NOT be amazing?
The biggest actor in the world makes a movie with the biggest pop singer in the world.
Part love story, part thriller and ALL MELODRAMA.
And where there is drama there is only one guest. We welcome back “THE WIFE” Lisa!
You can learn a lot from a podcast with your wife. Such as finding out that she’s not wild about the lead characters name (which is also YOUR first name)
Damn you, Frank Farmer!!!!!
One of my all time favorite movies.
I am joined today by fellow movie nerd Michael Clyde to discuss 1981’s “Arthur”
Has ANYONE played a more convincing drunk on film? (YOU STAY OUTTA THIS NIC CAGE!!)
This movie is such a joy. Legit funny and charming at almost every turn. A movie where the SUPPORTING role nearly outshines the lead (and what a lead!!)
Yet I’m not sure if Arthur would fly today when he unapologetically describes his life as the follwing:
“I race cars, I play tennis, I fondle women BUT! I have weekends off, and I’m my own boss”.
Listeners…you have all come to expect a certain “classiness” when it comes to episodes with my bro-in-law, Mike Sandoval.
So when we decided to tackle the rom-com classic “Pretty Woman”, I decided to bring back “THE WIFE” to make it a dynamic TRIO in the hopes her presence would inspire some refinement in our conversation
How wrong I was !
A word to the wise…mature (and immature) content ahead.
Ho-Ho-Ho!!
Merry Fathers day everyone.
I have, back on the program, my 9 year old daughter, Gina Rose. We are discussing the 1991 classic, “Father of the Bride”…. well it started that way.
We ended up talking about my LEAST favorite subject, HER wedding day and future husband. But in brighter news we BOTH were of like mind of where the happy day should take place.
I’m not sure being of like mind with a 9 year old is a good start.
So listeners, we hope you enjoy this special episode treat.
Happy Fathers Day to all, and to all a good night!!!
Boy oh boy. This was a fun one. Be warned: late 90s high school humor lay ahead
I am joined by fan favorite, THE BRO-LAW, Mike Sandoval as we talk about the late 90s high school classic “Can’t Hardly Wait”.
As it turns out, this wasn’t just another episode. It was a green light to unlock tons of high school memories. Some good, some lame and ALL obnoxious.
We don’t just travel all the way back to 1998 (even though we are both Class of 1999, DO SOMETHING!!!) for the movie, but in OUR OWN lives, and we hope you are friends with us after listening.
This episode will definitely be in the “one for us” category.
Hear Ye! All Nerds!!!
I am joined by resident nerd AND Super-fan, Lisa Richardson as we attempt to profess our love for this comedy WHILST avoiding being stuffed in a locker.
When it comes to popular tv comedies of the last 20 years, I submit that most roads lead back to this mockumentary (along with “This Is Spinal Tap”)
This episode covers the laughs AND the criticisms. (1996…what a year!)
In the words of Pierce Brosnan, “Welcome to the Rock”
We are back with the old lady older sister, Elise De La Cruz.
She joins us as we continue to get our CAGE on with his FIRST action packed summer blockbuster. In this episode we talk about going to San Francisco with flowers in your hair, the douchiest car (HUMVEE) and the hottest shower scene this side of “Porkys”.
Oh yeah, and sh*tting in front of Sean Connery. Come along for the ride. It’s a wild one
Godspeed, listeners
Are your ready for some FOOTB- oh wait. Nevermind.
Joined once again by previous guest Sarah, we talk about her ALL TIME FAVORITE movie ever. We also discover that I know SHOCKINGLY little about baseball.
(T-BALL was more my speed)
But we do go through the roster and give some of the stars their due: Jake Taylor, Rick “Wild Thing” Vaughn, Willie Mays Hayes, Pedro Cerranno and other “friends of the feather”
Oh and the Skipper, Lou “Give em the heater” Brown!
Holy Cow what a great day for a game. Play Ball!!!!
Part 2 of 2 of the Generation Film Podcast anniversary show.
How in the F*** did this get made?!?!?
Once again joined by Mike Sandoval we take a dive into some tongue-sucking-choir girl-groping-”daughter”-perving-sister-frenching awesomeness.
And NONE of that is as creepy as the “face wipe” of affection gesture. But fear not we do get down to the nitty gritty:
Better vessel for Castor Troy…Travolta or Cage? (psssst its Cage)
Better vessel for Sean Archer…Travolta or Cage? (psssst who cares).
Part 1 of 2 of the Generation Film Podcast anniversary show.
Lets Go Crazy WITH some crazy. Thats right, everyones favorite nutbag, Nicolas Cage.
I am joined by fan favorite, Mike Sandoval, as we go back to the summer of 1997 when Con Air first entered our lives.
We try and break down whether Cameron Poe is a time traveler and whether Garland Greene (despite being a serial killer) is a cool dude.
Welcome to our Barbeque, Hummingbirds.
Making her debut on the program I have long time super-fan, Jenn Ruste to talk about this 1991 action classic.
We look back to that time and heap much earned praise to BOTH Sarah Conner and Linda Hamilton. Did she start the female BODY TRANSFORMATION trend for action movies?
And also, as the T-1000 Robert Patrick, who delivers just shy of what COULD be described as an “award worthy” performance.
We get one of the top five DEATH FACES in Joe Morton….
…and of course….ARNOLD!
We shall close out the month of love with a look back one of the great 90s Rom-Coms.
Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. THE Powerhouse ROM-COM couple
And by “rom-coms” we also mean, stalking.
Back on the show, we got Super-Fan Lisa Richardson.
The Super-Fan and the Rom-Com. M.F.E.O.
On this, our nations day of LOVE, I am once again joined by "the wife." It was a matter of time before I did her favorite movie ever. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s truly fantastic.
We relive our first experience watching this classic in 1997. Hint: ONE of us was on a first date…..whatever!!!!
A few questions: did this viewing yield any tears for yours truly?
Were Cal’s demands REALLY that bad? (The wife doesn’t think so….she’s not well)
Could this movie be improved upon? River Phoenix as “Jack”, perhaps?
Thank you for joining us on this Valentines Day.
Cheers!
To making it count.
A return to the 80s….sorta
1998’s The Wedding Singer. A movie that America loved and Sandler “bros” did not.
Since she loves all things 80s we welcome back OLD LADY older sister Elise De La Cruz.
We reminisce about watching this movie while the whole world had “Titanic” fever, and then IMMEDIATELY having to go buy the soundtrack.
Also a head to head competition between Jon Lovitz and Steve Buscemi over who almost steals this movie with minimal screentime.
This week we revisit the love story of a generation. My best friend and my brother-in-law were not available.
So we have Lisa Aragon (THE WIFE) back on the show!!!
1990’s “Ghost”. A movie I CLEARLY remember not wanting to watch at the age of 9. Boy was I wrong.
I learned a lot from that movie: I learned my mom, dad and older sister were big blubbering babies. I learned that I would soon not like Tony Goldwyn for the next decade. I learned Whoopi Goldberg was a national treasure.
And most importantly what I learned… what the hell did “Ditto” mean?
A pre-FAT Sean Astin, a post-GOOD Will Wheaton and Keith Coogan’s absurd BULGE.
You get it all in this weeks episode. We welcome back fan favorite Mike Sandoval where we talk about an early 90’s movie made for boys. Speaking of which…
…If you need teen boys in their underwear you have come to the right place. ALSO in the right place? Lou Gossett Jr. “Wishmaster” Andrew Divoff, a prep school “pruno” mouthwash concoction….
….And the most awkward group phone scene in film history. Yes you read that correctly…GROUP!
Generation Film debuts its first trifecta.
I am joined by my daughter, Gina Rose, to discuss a few holiday classics that are on HEAVY rotations at our house this time of year.
Charlie Brown Christmas- the evils of Commercialism and reminders of what “Christmas is all about”.
Yogi’s First Christmas- Although “Smarter than the average bear” there is a certain holiday he hasn’t experienced.
Mickey’s Christmas Carol- the age old tale about changing you ways that may just warm your cold heart.
HO-HO-HO and Merry Christmas!
What comes to mind if I say “Home Alone”?
You THINK its a Christmas Classic? You THINK its a holiday favorite?? Fun for the whole family???
YOU FOOLS!!!!! There is something not right about this movie, and my guests and I are committed to get to the bottom of it.
We welcome back Mike and Steven Sandoval. It took two brother-in-laws and one Frankie to sort this one out. But rest assured we are on the case. The case of criminal kingpin, Rob McCallister.
So, Merry Christmas, you filthy animals!
HO-HO-HO! Merry Christmas!!!!
‘Tis the season to be jolly. And we are kicking off the season with a Christmas classic.
Back on the show….. The Old(er) Sister, Elise De La Cruz.
This is a unique one: A Christmas movie with a dash of scary (eeeeeek!!!)
We get some great holiday tunes, a primetime Pheobe Cates, and 100 PERCENT USELESS HOME INVENTIONS.
So in the words of Rockin’ Ricky Rialto, Welcome, one and all, to Hill Valley… I mean... Kingston Falls, U.S.A.!!
I welcome back a fan favorite, my brother in law, Mike Sandoval.
And you are all in for a treat.
We look back at so much more than a simple 80s acting flick.
We get to see a bonaife Hollywood A-List ACTION star try his hand at ACTION/COMEDY and he clearly has no idea that he is failing. It’s magical.
Before this episode is over you will never think of spaghetti, mice and Academy Award Winner Jack Palance the same way again.
Oh and HONERABLE MENTION to Mr. Kurt Russell. You tried your best to save this movie
We have back on the show Michael Clyde to sit in and chat with a personal favorite of ours.
From director Martin Brest (heh-heh-heh…) it’s 1988s “Midnight Run”
I know the new generation is somewhat used to “funny De Niro”, now and again. But before Analyze This, Analyze That, Meet the Parents…etc. THIS was De Niro’s first attempt at going for some laughs. And he does with the help of plenty of F-bombs.
This movie also gives us most intimidating bad guy in a comedy in Dennis Farina.
HONERABLE MENTION: this is a great food movie: Donuts, Chorizo and Eggs, lyonnaise potatoes. Sold! Let’s GO!!
2018’s “Hereditary”. A movie so expertly crafted and cleverly told it’s ALREADY considered a modern classic.
In other words. This one really sticks with you. Eeeeeeeeeek!!!!!!
SO for the first time on my show my guest will be my niece, Akemi De La Cruz. Let’s hear it for her…… *sad kazoo…..
Her Mother has been a guest previously but since its a NEW movie, we need some new blood. (Muahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa……)
Also, if ever an acting performance had gone unrecognized SIMPLY because of the genre, its Toni Collette’s. Amazing horror performances didn’t end in 1973 (and you know what I mean).
Continuing October’s “spooktacular” (TM), we have back on the show to chat with yours truly, “Superfan” Lisa Richardson.
And since its ghouls and goblins season, we are here to talk about the coolest vampires to ever vamp and the hottest Jamie to ever Gertz. You guessed it, THE LOST BOYS!
We also discuss whether every 8th word in this movie is “Michael” .
So in the words of grandpa : “One thing about living in Santa Cruz I could never stomach…all the damn Banana Slugs.”
After a long break, I am THRILLED to welcome back to the show my brother in law, Mike Sandoval. A special guest to discuss a special icon.
Freddy Krueger. The man of your dreams.
The 80s featured plenty of boogeymen. But none with Freddy’s personality, ESPECIALLY this one.
We get it all in this one: The stupid jokes, the bad puns, the pretending you’re a busty blonde nurse.
OH! and Sir Laurence of Fishburne.
Prince Humperdinck as the Prince of Darkness, Jerry Dandridge?
Marcy Darcy his undead bride to be, Amy Peterson??
Andrew from “Overboard” as Peter Vincent (The Great Vampire Killer)???????
Yes!! a THOUSAND times Yes!!!! This classic brings them all together.
There is a strong chance that no movie was viewed more in my home. So of course I had to bring back the older sister, Elise De La Cruz. She joins yours truly and we examine, reminisce and RE-LIVE our youth thru a movie….
….a vampire movie.
Oh and my first experience with “movie boobs”! What are you waiting for? Listen Now!
“(The armies of the night are coming, their coming…..)”
This might be the ZENITH of a stand up legends film career. And unlike others “zeniths” of standup film careers…its pretty good.
Once again i am joined by Michael Clyde to talk the 1986 Rodney Dangerfield classic “Back To School”
We talk Sally Kellermans voice, a young Tony Stark and Sam Kinison’s 1- syllable screams.
Oh…
There will be Oingo…and believe you me….there WILL be Boingo.
“…..And another thing, Vonnegut!”
Flying…Invisibility…a billion dollars? All perfectly fine wishes when you’re 12 or 13.
Or you can simply say “I wish I were big” and see what happens.
We are talking “13 goin-”….hold on scratch that.
We are talking “Big”!!!! from 1988.
Iconic scene alert Piano at FAO Schwartz** and no I don’t think I can do it.
We welcome back to the show my bro Sarah DeLuca, where I provide the perfect platform for her to discuss Tom Hanks feet. (I was unaware that was even a thing. Who knew?)
And yes….we discuss the sex scene….eeeeek!
When it’s time to visit a “Tanning Invitational”, friend of the program, Michael Clyde is the FIRST person I thought of.
Now I can appreciate that this movie may not ring any bells for some of you.
If you are unfamiliar with this movie, this is what you get: 80s college hi-jinks, attempted statutory rape, cold war era military and one on the Undisputed Heavyweight Champs of 80s A-Holes (or “DILS”)
Kinda real question: has Val Kilmer ever been more charismatic? I will hear all arguments.
Fire up the DVD or Stream and grab your popcorn……so…..much…..popcorn
Come join us to rightly celebrate this hidden gem
It’s a moral imperative.
What a lucky guy!! I was able to land the most beautiful girl in the world as my guest today.
I am joined by my daughter, Gina Rose.
In this episode I send her back to 30 years in the past to see if she can get her parents to have a first date. Her ideas are sure….something.
But I have never enjoyed an episode more. That’s the power of love.
Joined once again by the older sister, Elise De La Cruz, we order up slice of teen drama (hooray) and we got……this?
John Hughes…oh my sweet John Hughes. What did you do?
You wanted us to like him. You wanted us to identify with him; and maybe for all the creep weirdo stalkers out there, he is their king. Buy good lord this main character is really…..something.
This Brat Pack “lite” offering is indeed a classic for Sunday afternoon TNT fans. Second tier villains, THIRD tier motivations…this one is a real head scratcher.
But I confess, its a real easy watch. Which gives you more time to think about WTF is going on in this creeps head.
The episode destined to cause controversy.
We welcome back, Lisa, in her return performance as “The Wife”.
She promised to record this episode with me, but she kept putting it off. Then she stopped returning by calls/texts. I waited for her this morning at our kitchen Island. I saw her and I Thought that she saw me. :(
But we got it done. (hooray!!!)
Listeners…I don’t know how to say this….there is a chance the 80s may have lied to us. Questions…oh so many questions.
Is the “good guy” all that “good”. Is the “school jerk” really an A-hole or just brutally honest?
Is Annie Potts the hottest on one the whole movie? (A RESOUNDING YES!!!)
Fan Favorite Alert
Editors note. I have not read the book this movie is based on, but if I want to save my marriage, I never will (don’t worry, you’ll see)
Ok…
For this special episode I have invited back SUPER FAN Lisa Richardson to join for one of her favorites and mine.
I’m not saying this a perfect movie. But I’m also not NOT saying it.
This episode has it all: fencing, fighting, torture, revenge…wait-wait…I’m getting mixed up.
Just sit back relax and enjoy this episode for what it is: and ode to the greatest thing in the world: To Blaaaaaaaaaaaave!
**Editors Note: Released out of sequence that’s why I said “Episode 9”
Ok back to Biz.
Love-able Looneys in NYC?!?! Make your case!
This is the show where my bro-in-law Mike returns for the first time since Episode 3 (The Breakfast Club) and its a doozy!
I will deem this episode…”One for Us” .
I mean, come on. Michael Keaton 3 months before playing BATTY? Random woman talking at a phone both showing off her ass? A F***ing song about a DINOSAUR??
And you will be kicking yourself if you miss out on XXX “nobody doesn’t like Sara Lee” discussion.
Sold American!!
Y'all know me...
You know how I earn a livin'...well... to be honest this podcast has yet to yield a financial benefit but I do have high hopes....
Anyhoo...
This is the story of a shark. THEE shark...and the 3 men who try to kill it.
I am joined today by my movie pal, Michael Clyde, to discuss one of the greatest movies ever made. We talk about the young Director, the legendary performances and the Boss of ALL Bosses... Bruuuuuuuuuuuce!!! Put on your sunscreen and grab your fireworks. Its time to set sail.
Farewell and adieu.
I have been waiting for this one.
My guest for this episode is my SUPER old sister, Elise. (Yes…9 years older than me definitely make her SUPER old!
We talk spooky memories, the worst werewolf based song ever (Spoilers, it’s Shakira) and the 1987 version of our mother.
Also this “Werewolf”/Bear(?) costume should have stayed kept in shadows to remain scary. And how do you make a werewolf costume in the 80s when you have no money .
Elise was with me for all of it then…so its fitting she’s with me now.
One of the GIANTS of the mega movie year 1984.
Inspired by Indiana Jones??? Meh. Maybe (shrug)?
But who cares? This is great fun. On todays show Yours Truly is joined by Movie buff/enthusiast Lisa Richardson to discuss this GEM of a movie. “Gem”…get it…huh?
Ok-FINE!
We cover the movie, of course, but we cover so much more. Tidbits: Someone’s spouse prefers “Temple of Doom” over “Raiders” (and that’s not even the worst take!). Michael Douglas’s hair HAD to increase the films budget significantly. And finally, Joan Wilder: Chronic Masturbator? All signs (and posters of “Jesse” on the wall) point to YES!
So come join the fun….and look at those snappers.
Episode Note there is a noticeable audio issue with this one, but Listeners…we soldier on.
NOTHING IS OVER!! NOTHING!!!!
So…
I am joined on this one by best friend in the whole wide world, Steve DeLuca. Hooray! And he is here for a DOOZY!
This movie hits us right in our couch potato childhood where we still love it. But as adult men, it’s safe to say we’ve come to appreciate it.
We did come away with some curiosities: thanks to this movie and “That 70s Show” will we ever be able to take The National Guard seriously ?
Also, There will be Stallone impressions....oh yes....there will be Stallone impressions.
SHAME counter: 1**
** Yes…. (sigh)… I accidently said “Temple of Doom” when I meant to say “The Last Crusade”.
**Frankie mournfully grabs his bag and walks down a long road…….
“Leeches….why did they have to be Leeches”.
(I may have gotten my classic 80s lines mixed up there)
No Matter!
I am joined by my OTHER brother-in-law, Steven (hold for applause), to discuss Stand By Me. Having read the original novella, Steven isn’t here to JUST bring some perspective to a movie we both love, but to feel sorry for Yours Truly for being a “sympathetic vomiter”. Also, exceptional acting performances, adults betraying kids, and one of the great character “fade out” shots.
Special Episode
Its 10pm.
Both kids are in bed…. and I am joined by my better half, Lisa (smattering of applause, one faint kazoo) to discuss, not JUST a masterpiece…but a CLASSIC!!
There are many similarities to this love story and our lives, which is to simply say one of us is older (HER), and one of use would also look fantastic being lifted in the air (Yours Truly).
Sidenote: How the hell do you travel to 22 countries in THREE DAYS, MAX?!?!?!
So pull up a chair because we cover it…all?
Meh, close enough.
IT’S COOKIE TIME!!!!
On the show today I have BOTH hosts of the “We Want Room Service” podcast. Returning once again is Sarah and joining for the first time, Scarlett!
This show runs the gamut: Robin Leach, the fighting weight of “Marvelous” Marvin Hagler, “Vince Fontaine” actor being kind of an asshole, and do people still know what being a “Gladys Kravitz” is?
Also on this very special episode Sarah confesses her lust for T.V.s “Major Dad”…..and Steve Guttenberg.
Do not miss the fireworks between Sarah and Yours Truly about the ending!
THUMP COUNTER: HEAVY Be warned this is REALLY bad in the first 10 minutes.
You wanna miss a match? You wanna blow your ride?? Then definitely tune in for episode 3 as my brother in law, Mike and Yours Truly wade into this classic of all classics.
For a movie I have seen countless times, some questions did emerge that I never considered:
Is John Bender actually rich? If all the kids smoked some “doobage’’ WTF did Andrew Clark smoke?!?
It’s episode Number 2 of Generation Film. My special guest was Sarah DeLuca from the “We Want Room Service” podcast. She was gracious enough to take a break from discussing the filmography of her dreamboat, Keanu Reeves, and join Yours Truly to talk “Little Shop of Horrors”. Did Steve Martin miss his calling as a real life Italian person? 50’s music made in the 70’s WAS a thing…..And WHAT THE F**K is up with that new ending?!?!?!?!
THUMP COUNTER: LIGHT - MODERATE
In the premiere episode of Generation Film, I (Yours Truly) and my brother in law Mike, discuss the 1984 box office smash. Though we have seen this movie countless times we STILL had questions. How did Axel, Mikey and Jenny Summers ever find each other in life? Why would Victor Maitland’s goons have a full on shootout in a posh Beverly Hills backyard at 1:30pm?!?! And in 2022 would the “banana in the tailpipe” ploy work in modern cars?!?!?! We ask the tough questions.
