A space dedicated to exploring and sharing mental health and spirituality, through personal experience, books, insight & authentic conversation, to build self awareness & live with intention.
In today's episode, we explore the reasons why we may be self critical, the root of it, and ways we can work through via tools and reminders. It can benefit us in many ways e.g. to challenge ourselves to grow, however being overly self-critical can cause outcomes which don't serve us. Many of us experience this and as with many mental health topics, we may not be aware others are experiencing self criticism and doubt so it is important we are compassionate to ourselves and others. As with all topics on this podcast please reach out to a professional if this is severely affecting you.

In this episode, we explore the importance of living an intentional life, how we can work on it for ourselves and become clear on what is important to us. Intention allows us to become more aware and focused on how we want to live and what we want to work on, and practicing intention helps shift us and bring more clarity to everyday life and beyond.
Thank you for listening, & hope this helps in some way.

In today's episode, we discuss the importance of respecting who we are, our values, what is important to us and why we need to do this for ourselves. By recognising our values and actively practicing them, we set a standard for how we treat ourselves and how others can meet us. We are taught to seek validation externally, but this must come from within - if we don't honour what we need we teach ourselves we are not worthy of respect. I hope this helps you reconnect to what is truly important to you and how you can honour and respect yourself in all parts of your life.

In today's episode, we discuss how we can allow ourselves grace for when we are feeling down or uncertain about our paths. I hope these little reminders help you in knowing you are doing the best you can, and sometimes these feelings allow us to connect more deeper to ourselves and what is important to us, and it is okay to feel this way - it's how we support ourselves through it.
Thank you for listening and hope this helps.

This introduction episode touches upon a topic which is close to my own experience and many of a South Asian background. In the past and still now, it has been hard for us to talk about our mental health, to articulate it, understand its impact, and how experiences have impacted who we are today - combining two cultures and finding what our individual truth is, actually being able to safely talk about mental health, and support ourselves and our parents/elders in their own experience. Being seen as 'weak' has limited being able to openly discuss mental health, however more recently, with the education available, we can begin to explore how we can connect to our mental health and release stigmas in the community, to allow deeper connections to mind and acknowledging the impact mental health can have on our general being and life.
This topic was at points hard to discuss (touching upon loss also) but I feel so important - the more we talk about it, whether you are South Asian or know/have loved ones who are, our experience is valid and we can connect to it by understanding why we felt certain ways, and how we can allow ourselves to express without shame.
Please share if this resonates/connects with you or a loved one.

At the start of the year we often contemplate New Years resolutions. It is a great time to reflect and consider what is important to us, who we want to be and what we want to be doing, however at the end of January we find ourselves tailing away from those big goals. Self Discipline is a skill and tool which allows us to connect to why we are implementing changes and how we can commit to them with consistency and care, for the bigger picture. In this episode we explore how we can can become more self disciplined and allow ourselves to connect and actually do what is important to us, in the here and now, for the long term.

Throughout our lives we are given reasons, however valid, to see and choose fear and pain, but we are not shown why creating a state of inner peace impacts our lives in deeper ways. By choosing peace within, we allow ourselves to flow with life, and release our grip on control and daily pressures/anxiety. In this episode I share the importance of peace, its affects on our health and approach to life, and how we can allow ourselves to choose and feel it. I hope it encourages you to take a step back and reflect on your own connection to peace, and allow it in to your life and feel the lightness and calm state of being it can offer in your today and beyond.

In this podcast, I cover my own experience with meditation, sharing why I started, how I practice and the different types, benefits and truly how to persevere with meditation, as we learn how the benefits are building and showing up for us as we continue to practice.
