I have seriously started my voice over journey. You will hear me fail, learn, grow, and turn pro. Join me, if you dare. Also, I’m kind of funny, so...there’s that.
In this episode I give advice that I immediately don't follow myself. No, not the giving up part. There's other things in there. And I let you in on the best money you will ever spend when starting your voice over career. As mentioned in the episode, if you have any questions for me about what I've said, contact me through my linktree below, and I'll be happy to have a conversation with you. Thank you for listening!

Hoh boy. In this episode I take a crack at voicing God. From this we can learn one very important lesson: No one will ever hire me as the voice of God. That's fo sheezy. But you never know unless you try, and now I know. Also in this episode, I address some news from Voices.com and a prediction I've heard about AI and voice over. Also, there's some cuteness overload at the end, so listen all the way through! And can you hear the dryer?!? It's all very exciting.

HELLO NEW FOLLOWERS AND LISTENERS! I'm very happy to have you join me on my journey. Thank you to Podbean for the banner ad that is very effective in growing your listenership. I'm excited to hear from everyone! https://linktr.ee/michaelflemingvoiceover
This episode has a few updates on the journey, and we discuss Job's 3 friends who get few things right but are mostly wrong. Just like when I voice Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar! Also, I'm surprised at how I missed the easy joke with Zophar sounding like "so far." Let me know what you think and give me some adjectives or advice on what God's voice should sound like next episode.
Thank you for listening!

This is a special episode to premier my first narration demo! Big thanks to www.edgestudio.com www.jamesandrewsvo.com and the whole Edge Studio team (David Goldberg, Sarah Glugatch, Susanne Pinedo, Siobhan O'Loughlin, Kevin Schormann) for getting me through the program. This is by no means an end...only the beginning. There's so much more to learn and do.

We go deeper into this podcast inception with part 2 of the character study of the Book of Job. This week is a focus on Satan. When thinking through how to handle voicing this character, I try to bring out Satan's feelings of his relationship to God, and you may be surprised of Satan's role in this reality. What's interesting is I recorded this during a thunderstorm, so there is some ambience coming across the mic at times (best heard with headphones). Be sure to listen to the end for a special treat!
Do you have any direction on how I should try to voice Satan or Job so far? Let me know on the social media here: https://linktr.ee/michaelflemingvoiceover

It's time for podcast series inception in which I start a mini-series within a mini-series. This episode, we take a look at the book of Job in the Bible to talk about character study. I found a website that looks pretty useful when you need a quick review of characters in a story (www.litcharts.com). Voice acting is acting, and whether it's a 15 second commercial or a 7-hour audio book, you have a character to whom you need to do justice.
How would your read the character of Job? Think you can do better? Let me know on my social media and whatnot! https://linktr.ee/michaelflemingvoiceover

Quite possibly the shortest episode I may ever produce! Part 2 of idk discussing how VO fits in the Bible. I also have some journey updates to throw in. But God! The OG VO Artist is featured! If VO is hearing a voice without seeing the speaker, then God fits the description from Genesis 1:1. Let me know what you think by visiting the linktree below!

Episode 16 coming at you with some confessions and some Truth. Since being a Christian is an important part of my worldview, it just makes sense that I read Biblical concepts into every aspect of my life, and voice over is no different. So, this week I'm starting a series where I talk about how voice over and the Bible fit together. Part 1 focuses on the VO community. Having been in the VO community for about a year and a half, and having been on the fringe looking in before that, I've noticed that they can't help themselves in exuding Biblical behavior. So, I'm sharing what I've noticed with Scripture to back it up.

Outro: Shane Ivers - What's The Angle? https://www.silvermansound.com
Finally! You have your excuse to nap in the middle of the day! Not really, but relaxation is essential for your vocal, mental, physical, and relational health. It's Biblical, for crying out loud! If you're not loose before you enter the booth, it shows in your performance. So listen to my list of relaxation techniques. Some you might agree with. Some might stress you out more. One, I'm pretty sure you haven't thought of, but it's the silver bullet...
What helps you relax? Let me know on social media!

Strap yourself in for my weakest subject in the category of health! I talk about some no-no foods and go-to foods for the voice actor when prepping for a voice session. Your vocal chords are highly affected by what goes into your body, and like any good professional actor, you've got to learn what works for your body when it's time to go on. Get some ideas of where to start or just get confused with me because this is all a social construct designed to keep you sad and depressed because you can't eat the stuff you want.

What might be the most important part of being a Voice Over Artist? Auditioning! This is where all the training is put to the test. In this episode, I talk about my current state of affairs, past and current auditions, not violating your conscience, and I work through my process for auditioning with AN ACTUAL AUDITION! Kind of. You'll see...or hear...you'll see-hear.

UPDATE: The volume on this episode is lower than it should be. But I'm keeping it that way, so you can see growth. :)
