In this journey of walking in Christ we as christians need to know what we believe and how to defend the faith (1 Peter 3:15). That's where Apologetics comes in. This podcast is going to help us grow in our faith and be able to give evidence for our beliefs.
The question "what about people who never heard the gospel?" always comes up from universalists (people that believe that all roads/ways lead to God). We're going to deal with this question from a couple of different perspectives. Also we're going to address the assumptions from universalism about this question.
As Christians our understanding of the word "gospel" isn't the original meaning of the days of Jesus. We are going to dive into some history and cultural contexts of the word "gospel" and how the people of Jesus day understood what it meant in it's original context.
When people quote Matthew 7:1 most of the time they use it out of context. Most people don't read the rest of the passage (vv.2-5). Does Jesus mean don't judge at all? Absolutely not. Jesus is teaching how to judge and to not judge hypocritically. As believers and followers of Christ we must be skilled at judging people with grace & mercy and not condemnation. This episode is to break down the meaning of the Matthew 7 passage and to give other examples in the bible on how to judge correctly.

The Passion Translation was created by Brian Simmons. This translation came out in 2015. It became popularized in many churches in 2020. Many of the claims that Brian Simmons makes about the scriptures that he interprents in TPT is very questionable & concerning. The purpose of this episode is to make people aware of those claims and if they are true or false.

To understand what Mormons believe we have to understand that they sound very much like Christians. However when you start to cut into the essentials of their doctrine they believe completely different than the Christian. This religion was founded by Joseph Smith Jr. and started "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" in April 6, 1830. Let's get a better understanding of Mormonism.

Islam is one of the most monotheistic religions in the world, but the essentials of both Christianity and Islam contridict each other. This is a religion found in Saudi Arabia by a man named Muhammad. He claimed that he was visited by the Angel Gabriel and was believed to receive divine revelation from God. We will be getting a better understanding their doctrines, the Quran, customs, etc.

Over 500 million buddhists worldwide and 4 million in the U.S. this religion is getting more followers in the west and is dominant in the Far East. We will have a better understanding of their background, religious texts, customs, etc.

Roman Catholicism has been around since the first century. Many believe it started in the fourth century by Constantine. In this episode we'll be making a very clear distinction between Catholicism vs. Christianity.
This episode will be the first of a series where we tackle different worldviews and religions. Today we are going to deal with the Jehovah's Witnesses. This is a religion that was started by Charles Taze Russell in 1872. We'll get into who they are, their understanding of scriptures, doctrines, etc.

This week we're gonna switch gears this episode by doing some church humor. For 13 episodes we been getting deep into apologetics and theology, but this week we're going to laugh at some church jokes. On this journey with God never forget God gave you the ability to laugh because it is medicine for our souls.
This is pt. 1 of where the bible comes from and who decided what books would be in the bible. We will go through what materials were used. Also we will look into old and new testament canons.
We are continuing more on why skeptics and critics have there problems with christianity. Misconceptions like "there can't be just one right religion", "christianity and science are at war", "God has not provided enough evidence", "being a good person is enough to get to heaven".
A lot of skeptics have many misconceptions of the christian faith. Most of them has nothing to do with evidence, but it's mostly moral. Even the ones that do claim that Christianity is a "blind faith" religion don't understand that "faith" in the bible is not blind. This episode is going to tackle those things.
Apologetics in my opinion is one of the most effective ways to evangalize. This episode is all about defining apologetics, and what is the purpose for doing apologetics.
Continuing from pt. 1, we are going to get into the appearances of the historical "Jesus of Nazareth". 1 Corinthians 15: 3-8 says that Jesus appeared to Cephas (Peter's arabic name), then to all twelve of the disciples, and over 500 people at one time. Also we're going into the historical evidence of the empty tomb.
In this episode we will dive into some evidence of the resurrection of Jesus. The historical event that happened in the early 1st century is confirmed by New Testament historians from across the board. We'll go through multiple historical facts about the resurrection, and a few theories that skeptics use to disprove the resurrection.
The apostles of Jesus were willing to die for what they saw with their own eyes. In this episode we will go through some historical evidences for the suffering and martyrdom of the apostles. We'll touch on some writings from historical figures and accounts of martyrdom from some individual apostles like Peter, and Paul.
The claim that Christianity/Jesus is a copy of other pagan/mythological gods has been popularized in the modern skeptic world. In this episode I'll be tackling the claims that is often made in this topic. I'll be proving that the story of Jesus is not only historically accurate but unique.
This episode is going to be a special one because we are going to tackle some of the earliest christian documents that we have. We are going to dive into the historical documents of the Gospels, The Apostle Paul's writings, and the oral creeds that was formulated and established in the 1st century.
