On reflection, has anything changed at the football club? We knew Stuart Webber's time was up. Now he's confirmed he's leaving but when? Why are we waiting? What. A. Strike. Incredible. But we've been here before and it seems that we're getting slightly carried away. We beat Birmingham a poor team. With a wonder goal that changed everything. Without it? Who knows?
John thinks the whole feeling of the club at the moment is a bit desperate. Desperate to to be loved. Desperate for it to work. Desperate for Wagner to be the one. Aren't we kidding ourselves?
In Episode 38 we also talk strikers and two of our greatest from the 90s in Sutton and Robins - but Peter thinks one of them might not make the final 20!! Seriously!!!

After we crashed back to earth and out of the play offs with a bump against Burnley, it seems pretty clear that we need to improve our home form and quickly! With 5 games coming up for the rest of the shortest month of the year we have to win 4 or 5 of them if we're going to be in the play off mix this season (and also because they're clubs in the bottom half of the table!)
David Wagner has a clear way of playing - he also has a clear decision to make - that Angus Gunn should be back in goal too!

"Don't look too far ahead" says the new manager of Norwich City David Wagner - a sort of coming home for the ex-Huddersfield boss, who's once again teaming up with Stuart Webber and others to try and get a Championship club back into the Premier League.
But without a win in 4 and yet another home defeat against Blackburn in the FA Cup at the weekend, where's the first win coming from and how?
We look ahead to what's hopefully a better year than 2022 for City!
We called for it two months ago, and finally the axe has been wielded by Webber. Dean Smith has gone with Norwich City still aiming for promotion this season despite being nearer the bottom 3 than the top 2!

It's early days, it's August, remember Farke - yep we get it but sitting rock bottom of the Championship the next 4 days with 2 homes games against Huddersfield and Millwall seem pretty crucial!

He's a Premier League and Championship performer, and someone who can win a ball in midfield and be good in either box. To us City fans, the first new summer signing Isaac Hayden could well be Zinedine Zidane if he plays like that! We've everything crossed!

Awful way to end the season, that's let's be honest as been as painful if not more so than our previous 4 relegations under in 1995, ten years later with Worthy, and more recently Hughton, Neil and Farke.
What next? Automatic return doesn't feel very likely with this squad of players and what about the manager? The Performance Director? The club itself and the owners? Big questions for a big summer for City!
