A show all about the Premier League, the teams we love, those we love to hate and others we simply watch in disbelief. Each week we recap the previous weekend's games and take look at the intrigue ahead in the world's best football league. It's a work in progress, just like any fan of a midtable team tells themselves.
If you couldn't tell by the searing heat sweeping the nation, the Summer of Soccer is in full swing. Adam and Jordan recap a HOT first five days of Euros action from Germany, including an exciting looking Spain, solid Italy, comeback kids Netherlands, and (decent?) England. Then we switch gears to the Copa America and see how far we can stretch our knowledge of South American football.
Summertime is here and we start off our Summer of Soccer with a nice Euros Preview to get the body pumping. Adam and Jordan go group by group and ask who will come out on top when all is said and done in Germany. Does England merit the title of favorite? Is France poised to succeed behind Kylian Mbappe? Could the Netherlands be the team to beat, and how will the hosts fair? Come take a dip in the football pool. The water's fine.

Before we officially enter Summer of Soccer, Adam and Jordan look back on the season and talk about a few important things that will be going on in the background of the Euros and Copa America. VAR drama, financial regulations, and possibly even the future of club football as we know it hang in the balance. Oh, and Chelsea sacked another manager.
The Premier League is coming to a close, and Adam and Jordan are here to break down what all can happen on an exciting final day (well, exciting for some of us). Who will West Ham stick it to in their showdown with Man City? Can Everton manage one last hurrah before they (potentially) fade into financial nothingness against Arsenal? Will Man United's new manager find himself battling away in the Europa Conference League? We also say goodbye to Jurgen Klopp and his big shiny teeth.
We also fly over Europe to see what's happening as the club seasons come to an end. But it's not all sadness: English Football League playoff finals are here!
Just before the season comes to a close, Big Soccer Preview is back to dissect all the big matches to come. It's FA Cup Quarterfinal weekend and our last chance to preview the European soccer weekend before the international break. Luton's relegation dog fight against Nottingham Forest is holding the fort for the Prem this weekend, along with Fulham's big London battle against Tottenham. Man City-Newcastle and Man United-Liverpool highlight the world's oldest football cup competition, and things get spicy in northern Italy as defending champions Napoli pay a visit to Serie A leaders Inter.
Apologies for another hiatus, but boy did we pick a hell of a weekend to come back. Adam and Jordan look ahead to crucial clashes in the Premier League between Manchester United and Everton, Arsenal-Brentford, Aston Villa-Spurs, and the big one at Anfield as league leaders Liverpool look to hold the door against another Man City title run. Sure, there's some action on the continent, some interesting things going on in Serie A and the Bundesliga. But there's no doubt: this weekend, it's all about the Prem!
This weekend could be the Red Wedding for managers at the rate things are going. Could disaster at Nottingham Forest spell the end of David Moyes' West Ham reign? What is happening with Uncle Roy (seriously, get well soon) as Crystal Palace take on fellow strugglers Everton? And will Thomas Tuchel disappear fully into the singularity of his coat as Bayern Munich limp into a winnable game against Bochum? Plus we preview Man City's potential goal fest against Chelsea, brave Luton Town host Manchester United, and we have the football equivalent of the movie In Bruges in the Belgian Pro League (sort of).
It's a very short show this week because we've changed up the formation and have put Adam up top by himself as the classic number 9. Due to a lack of Geordie's this week, Adam is taking you through the Top Four Premier League games of the week plus some can't miss continental action. Everton's showdown with Ange, the A23 derby (yes it's a thing), Man United versus West Ham, and a top-of-the-table clash between Arsenal and Liverpool is just the must-see bits of a full Premier League weekend. And there's Eredivisie, Bundesliga, and some serious Serie A action to get you through the weekend, too!
Another weekend in the midst of a "mid-season break." But don't worry, we promise it's the last one AND at least there's still some Premier League football to enjoy. We start with Arsenal-Palace, two struggling clubs on the opposite ends of the spectrum. Then Brentford welcome Nottingham Forest to West London for the highly anticipated return of Ivan 'The Gambler' Toney! We are back for 2024 with an explanation for our long absence. And the Premier League is back for the new year following an FA Cup weekend, but unfortunately only half of it as the other half grabs a nice winter break. Week 1 of this new winter half-hybernation sees a relegation 6 pointer, a West London Derby, an important moment for Everton and Aston Villa's season ambitions, and the potential goal-fest that is Man United v Spurs. We also take a look at the Championship action this weekend to fill the void left by only half the Prem teams playing. So sit back, relax and get ready for a wonderful weekend of football.

It's the last pre-Christmas and pre-Boxing Day preview show and another Premier League-heavy preview. West Ham try to rebound from getting thumped out of the League Cup by Liverpool when they welcome Man United to the East End, and Everton try to keep their good run going against Tottenham. Liverpool and Arsenal are sure to light up Anfield on Saturday night, and the Premier League has a Christmas Eve gift for us in the form of Wolves-Chelsea. Finally, we tell you who's still going and who is already on their winter break during Continental Breakfast and we break down the holiday week fixture list for the Prem, basically 3 days of festive football fun!
Adam and Jordan look ahead to a Premier League weekend that builds up to a big derby. It's another derby for the Podcast as Jordan's Newcastle face our friend Caleb's free-flowing and super-charged Fulham side. Burnley and Everton face off in the Sean Dyche derby, and Arsenal-Brighton is probably your best chance to see one, or both, managers sent off before full time. More Premier League action can be found when Wolves and Forest clash at Molineux, Fulham welcomes West Ham for a West meets East derby, and a banged up Spurs play an even more banged up Newcastle as the fixture list gets longer and longer in this crazy holiday time. Dortmund-RB Leipzig leads off this week's Continental Breakfast, and we'll see who Jose Mourinho's Roma face for top four supremacy in Serie A.

The football is scary good this Halloween weekend, with at least two massive clashes in the top leagues of Europe. Adam and Jordan are back to let you know where to go for the best of the action, starting with a Manchester Derby with major implications taking place on Sunday. There's the Top Four matches you can't miss in the Premier League this weekend, and the not-so-small matter of the first El Clasico of the season, Barca-Real, coming at you on Saturday morning. This weekend is all about the biggest derby of them all: The Big Soccer Preview Show clash of Adam's West Ham against Jordan's Newcastle. Both teams come to East London fresh from European wins and ready to enter the international break in style. Adam and Jordan look forward to this, along with another important relegation clash for Everton, a Palace-Forest dogfight in South London, and a battle between title contenders when Arsenal faces Man City at the Emirates. There's also the Turin Derby, a top of the table clash between Reims and Monaco in France, and another chance to see if Ajax can dig themselves out of their Eredivisie hole. The Big Soccer Preview Show returns to look ahead to a very weird Premier League weekend schedule. So we've changed things around a bit, but there's still plenty of action with Man City and Haaland dealing with a potential banana peel matchup with Forest, Man United trying to forget off field issues and deal with on-field issues, Liverpool and West Ham in a counter-attack derby, and the big one as Arsenal and Spurs renew their heated rivalry in North London. As Adam and Jordan endure the insufferable heat of the American summer, things continue to heat up across Europe's top leagues but in a good way! The weekend's Premier League action sees plucky Luton try to get something from their trip to the Bridge, while Everton and Wolves battle it out at the bottom. Adam lets himself get a little excited about West Ham, while Jordan is looking forward to some sweet revenge for Newcastle against Liverpool. Welcome to version 2.0 of our little podcast project, the Big Soccer Preview Show. On the eve of the Premier League starting its 2023/24 season, Adam and Jordan (formerly of We Ate All the Pies fame) return to the studio and look ahead to the most important games you need to know about this weekend. We've got Women's World Cup, Eredivisie, La Liga and Chelsea-Liverpool drama. But first, we go where every great party starts: Lancashire, Turf Moor to be exact.
Only one man can help us wrap up this 2022-23 Barclays Premier League season correctly: everyone's favorite Fulham fan, Caleb! He's back this week to help Adam and Jordan break down the biggest overachievers and those teams that probably could have done better. They also dissect Manchester City's FA Cup win on their way to an almost certain treble. Hear the final thoughts of the year on Fulham, Newcastle, and West Ham's season. We bid farewell to Leicester, Leeds and Southampton, but welcome back Burnley, Sheffield United, and everyone's favorite second team for 2023-24, Luton Town. Finally, the boys dig out their crystal ball and look ahead to 2023-24 and offer their hottest takes for the season to come.
Note: Due to extenuating circumstances, those being the addition of a new human being to Adam's household, this may serve as the last We Ate All the Pies episode for the foreseeable future. If that is the case, we just want to thank everyone who has listened and let you know that this is definitely not goodbye forever. But, it may be goodbye for a while. Man, Adam and Jordan leave for one week and everything happens: Manchester City win their third-straight title, Arsenal's lack of finishing ability keeps Nottingham Forest in the Prem for another season, Chelsea are destined to finish lower in the table than Fulham (and Brentford!), Liverpool are forced into the Europa League, Manchester United are back amongst Europe's elite, and, yes, as Jordan reminds us again and again, Newcastle have qualified for the Champions League. All that's left is the relegation scrap, the all-important Europa Conference League spot, and the possibility that West Ham could finish higher than Chelsea, which is really the biggest accomplishment in all of this, right?
If this is what happens to Premier League football on the Bank Holiday Monday after a king's coronation, bring on William! Seriously, this Premier League round of matches ended with a 21-goal day across three matches, and Adam and Jordan cover it all. Plus they relive the epic Newcastle-Arsenal clash, celebrate a famous West Ham win that also helps the Toon in their quest for 4th, and laugh and laugh and laugh some more at Millwall failing to reach the English League Championship playoff spots. Ok, it's mostly Adam laughing. Come on, Luton!
Grab your popcorn, lock away your daughters, and prepare your meat pie tributes: Big Sam Allardyce is back in the Premier League! The moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived, and we have Leeds United to thank. Adam and Jordan discuss whether the big man can save Leeds from relegation or whether they are already preparing for life in the Championship. And since Big Sam thinks of himself on the same level as Pep and Klopp, we might as well talk about them, too. Despite Liverpool's late show winner against Spurs, Klopp could still be seeing red, while City continue their title charge behind record goal scorer and all around super human Erling Haaland. Chelsea's woes continue, Newcastle keep surging and West Ham are in a spot of bother.
All is not well in the northern London boroughs. Adam and Jordan recap the weekend as Tottenham are reaching new heights of Totten.....hamness after a 6-1 defeat to Newcastle, followed by owner Daniel Levy's club statement admitting that he bears ultimate responsibility. And that's why he sacked his second manager of the season and we're onto number three. Meanwhile, Arsenal are watching their title hopes slip away one result at a time, first in a head scratching 3-3 draw with Southampton, followed by a 4-1 loss to, you guessed it, Man City. Adam marvels at West Ham's sudden turnaround, and they briefly recap a weekend of FA Cup semifinals to set up the first Manchester Derby Final in the competition's storied history.
If you found yourself with that familiar sinking feeling this week, don't worry because you're not alone. After Arsenal's Anfield collapse against Liverpool, that feeling is hitting everyone hard: Man City are gonna bloody win this again, aren't they?

And finally, Arsenal hold a formidable lead against the one team you could possibly imagine catching them, with the one manager who you'd bet on getting his team back in a title fight, and the one player you'd want in your squad when facing such a formidable task. Ladies and gentlemen: welcome to the spring.
Whelp, Mount Conte finally blew its top and may have taken Spurs' entire season with it. Adam and Jordan discuss Antonio Conte's epic, and surely managerial saga ending, rant following Tottenham's 3-3 draw against bottom of the table Southampton this weekend. How has he not been sacked by now? That's surely on the way, and yet on the flip side, Crystal Palace go full scorched earth and decide to eliminate Patrick Vieira from this Premier League season. What's more, they decide, what the f**k, let's appoint our oldest manager in club history twice over, the man, the myth, the legend, he remembers English football when the UK wasn't part of Europe the first time around, Roy Hodgson. There's FA Cup quarterfinals to recap, including Mitrovic's meltdown at Old Trafford when Fulham took on Man United. And finally, there's the matter of England and USA games to look forward to as we endure our final international break of the season.

Anyways, our "mystery" guest breaks down Manchester United's amazing run under Erik Ten Hag, capped off with the club's first trophy win. Jordan ponders if Newcastle have reached as high as they can in this current phase of the Saudi money influx. Adam revels in West Ham's sudden goal scoring ability (don't use them up all at once, lads!) even after the Hammers fall in the FA Cup to, you guessed it, Manchester f***ing United. Then, it's time to pull back the West London curtain and look into why Chelsea have been struggling so much, and what can realistically be done about it. The guys also take some time to ponder the worst haircuts in Premier League history, recap the FA Cup 5th round, and look ahead to another fantastic weekend of English football.
We at We Ate All the Pies are saddened by the passing of legendary football commentator John Motson. For Brits, he was the voice of BBC Match of the Day; for Americans, he was THE commentator for several editions of the FIFA video game series. But everyone will recognize his classic voice. We will all miss his exclamations and his comforting method of taking an audience through a match. But mostly, we will miss the joy he brought to every game. The best way to carry on now is to find as much joy in the matches and moments of this beautiful game as Motty did every week. RIP, you legend of the gantry.

Hey. Sorry it's been a while since the last episode. For time's sake, it was basically a combination of an ice apocalypse, being in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico, and COVID. But everyone is back this week, and how things have changed! Since we last left you, Man City have now taken top spot in the Premier League. Adam, Caleb, and Jordan pour over the Arsenal-City fallout, and a discussion of City's off-field issues leads us to wonder how English football can financially be saved. Leeds have relieved Jesse Marsch of his managerial duties, and then Southampton tried to pick him up which makes about as much sense as hiring Nathan Jones to run your Premier League club. Finally, we look ahead to another big weekend of Premier League football and finally get back around to Top Shelf Picks!
*Editor's Note: Jordan's audio was a bit wonky this week since his internet decided to crap out at the last minute. So if it sounds weird, the answer is no he was not out on the lash with Alan Shearer last night, though I'm sure that's where he would have liked to have been.

After a week off, Caleb, Jordan and Adam return to discuss whether Arsenal should be considered favorites for the Premier League title, now that they have seen off Tottenham and, courtesy of a late Nketiah goal, Man United. Frank Lampard lost El Sackio to West Ham (much to Adam's amusement) and has now....been sacked. Is this curtains for Everton in the Premier League? And how do these Golden Generation fellows keep getting work? And finally, it's FA Cup time once again so the boys are off on their 4th Round adventures. We're off the wonderous reaches of the UK this week: London, North Wales, Preston it's like a scenic tour really.

Adam, Caleb and Jordan discuss all the weekend and midweek action, preview the FA Cup weekend with a special round of Top Shelf Picks, and talk about the latest from the Berhalter-Reyna feud that has turned US Soccer upside down. But first, a geography lesson from Adam to get things started.
Football is BACK and it is better than ever for almost everyone. That list certainly does not include West Ham. Adam, Jordan, and Caleb watched Boxing Day unfold together and bring their thoughts to another great show. We discuss who had the best post-World Cup start and Cody Gakpo's new Merseyside adventure plus more potential January transfer madness. Adam rants about West Ham's terrible year (excluding Europe, of course) but he follows it up with a hopeful message about 2023.
To start off this show, we say goodbye to the legend that is and will always be Pele. There will never be another like him. Rest In Peace, you giant of a man. Football will always remember you as the greatest player of the greatest game.

In from the frigid cold, Adam, Jordan, and Caleb offer their thoughts on an epic World Cup Final, Lionel Messi's cemented legacy as the GOAT, and, most importantly, Salt Bae. And then it's time to break out the paper hats, boil those sprouts, heat up the mince pies, and pour yourself a nice pint, for the Premier League is back just in time for some festive football. Jordan has taken a much-needed night off, so it's Adam and Caleb to break down this epic tournament. They ask what this ultimate final stage means for Messi's career, discuss the fallout from the USA's exit -- and then the fallout from the fallout. Will Gareth Southgate remain at England after their defeat in the Battle of the English Channel? And they just start to turn their heads back to the reason this podcast exists: England, the Premier League, and the FA Cup 3rd Round (Up the Wood!).
Also, we want to take a moment to remember Grant Wahl. Our thoughts go to his wife, his family, his friends, and all of the U.S. soccer fans who are grieving. It's an understatement to say we lost a good one.

It was so noble of Nuno Espirito Santo to volunteer as tribute when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's name was being called for the Premier League managerial trap door. Now Antonio Conte is in the Tottenham Hotspur torture chamber, I mean, manager's office, and Adam, Caleb and Jordan are all here to talk about it. They take a dive into another exciting Premier League weekend, in which Manchester City imploded, Manchester United exploded with goals, Liverpool fell short and Chelsea kept on steam rolling. Plus the Moyesiah continued to work miracles in East London. Caleb provides an English League Championship update before leaving early and go make democracy, and there's the not-so-small matter of the FA Cup First Round in the weekend preview. Chelsea just manage to win in the second most important match in West London of the weekend, and Mo Salah is still doing Mo Salah things. Also, Jordan's other podcast interests are.....unique. We're back! It turns out laptop computers are exactly like Tottenham's defending; it just suddenly stops working, randomly for no apparent reason. But we found a workaround, and return to bring Premier League analysis to you, our adoring fan. This week, the guys break down the very one-sided battle between Spurs and Chelsea and look ahead to another London derby, this time Arsenal going toe-to-toe with Spurs, at the Emirates for all the marbles. Loser gets relegated.
There was also the not-so-small matter of Adam's former life (Manchester United) totally coming back to haunt his current life (West Ham) in East London, aka the Mindf**k derby. Jordan is still unhappy with Steve Bruce and Caleb is still top of the Top Shelf Picks table. We know it took awhile, but this one's right out of the oven and ready for the gravy.

Bonus Pod starts a little differently as Adam, Jordan and Caleb recap a full weekend of international sports that culminated in a devastating loss for England (or emphatic win if you're Italian and/or Scottish, but this is a podcast about English football, so....yeah) on the dreaded penalties. Every aspect of the final is covered, and credit is given where it is due to a phenomenal Italian team and a hard-fought effort by England. There's also a bit of news about the future of the podcast at the end, so take it all in!

He joins Adam and Jordan to go over what went right for some teams this year, what went wrong, plus he gives the best case possible for why Harry Kane should forget all those big money offers and take a pay cut to make Craven Cottage his new home.
