We continue this week in our series, looking at how serving others allows us a greater form of love for our church and for each other!
This is the 2nd sermon in our new series looking at community and how we are called to be transparent and engage with each other.

It's the first Sunday in Advent and we begin our new series looking at the words of the prophet Isaiah, what does it truly mean that Jesus is our Wonderful Counselor?
This week, we complete our series The Power of Thanks, looking at how God desires a thankful heart through an example of an encounter Jesus had. Why is thankfulness so important and good for us? It's the beginning of a new 4-week series entitled Devoted. Where we look at the 4 things the early church in Acts 2 were devoted to as they pursued deeper relationship with God and with each other. This week, the importance of teaching and learning so we can grow in our fullness.
As we conclude our study in the book of James, we look at what this pastor says about the role of waiting for God and how praying turns our waiting into something not passive, but an act of trust and faith.
James addresses the power of our words this week as we continue in our James series. Also, the futility of boasting, and how what we say, how we say it and even why we say it can have long-lasting effects on those in our lives!
We're continuing in James, looking at the marriage of works with our faith. James implores us to not display a "dead" faith, but to prove our life in Christ through our actions. We are not saved because of our works, but we are saved to do good works!
As we finish James chapter one, we look at James' command to us to be more than hearers of the word of God. We are called to be people of action! James will repeat this theme throughout his letter, but he lays the foundation today. What does it look like for us to respond to God's word?
We begin a 5-week study in the book of James, looking at the the attitude of joy in the midst of adversity and what God gifts us through that.
It's Vision Sunday! This week, we look at our corporate vision and refocus our attention. We discuss the importance of passion and how we plan to walk out this vision so we can spread the gospel! It's an exciting time at Hope Community Church!

What can we learn from this man who met face-to-face with God?
This week in our series, we look at Psalm 96, highlighting the power and importance of song!
This week in our Psalms series, we look at Psalm 122 and the importance of finding a Thin place, a place where we can hear better from God. As well as the importance of Togetherness in Worship.
There once was a cymbal player named Asaph, who felt a strong push to share his faith with his children and their children, and so on and so on! Asaph models for us in Psalm 78, our "next-generation obligation" as we continue in our series entitled Psalms for All Seasons.

Today, we continue in our series on Psalms, looking at, perhaps, the most famous psalm and probably the most famous chapter in the entire Bible! Why did David refer to God as a Shepherd, what indications does that have for us as His followers? What are the attributes of a good shepherd that God shows us?

We are continuing in our series in Mark's gospel today. Jesus takes his disciples to a very interesting location and asks them a powerful question, "who do you say I am?" Throughout this conversation, we learn what Christ means, and who Jesus truly is. We must then, as Christians, ask ourselves the same question, "Who do WE say Jesus is?"
Happy Easter! He is Risen! Today we celebrate the empty tomb and defeat of death and sin. Our LORD loves all of us SO much, he died for our sins on the cross, but that's not the end of the story! That's just the beginning!
We explore instances in Mark's gospel that show the dual nature of Jesus as fully God and fully man.
We continue in Mark this week, looking at some of Jesus' parables and why he taught with this method.
In our third sermon in this series, we look at the problem of legalism and how Jesus addressed it and responded to it with grace.
