Eli has a special super power. It's the constant inspiration he's received from his father after having lost his leg in a car accident. Mauricio was referred to me by the kind folks at Solid Drywall. He began doing drywall after he moved up to Toronto and his uncle Sol showed him the ropes. On this episode we pay tribute to a drywall legend. Kameron Brown known as itsyamankam passed away on Tuesday October 1st after working on a drywall project in Effingham IL. Kam was a pivotal figure in the drywall space and friends with anyone who had the pleasure of coming into contact with him. I was lucky enough to be with him on his last day and I feel it's important to tell my story from this perspective. This is the very first solo podcast by Nick Harmon explaining the profound relationship between Kam and myself, what happened on Oct 1st and what we can do as a drywall community to ensure his legacy lives on. I've been wanting to interview Bernie for a long time. His knowledge of the industry and artistic ability makes way for some extraordinary work. His work went viral after Brian Kitchen, of Drywall Nation, made a video of Bernie doing one of his amazing sculptures. Since then, he's received offers to create sculptures all over the globe and has been in several publications. I got a chance to meet Bernie at a recent CSR event in Toronto CA and he's just as lovely in real life as he is on the internet. If you haven't seen his work you should absolutely check it out. If you don't know Mike he's the inventor of The Yellow Jacket mixing stand. It's the first tool of its kind and it was made buy a guy like you and me. The Yellow Jacket is a bucket holder that holds the bucket from the top to prevent spin and prevent buckets from falling over. I've know Mike for a bit and I love his zest for the trades and his passion for his invention. Mike is also an avid drummer and plays out several times a month. I finally caught up with Jason Griffin to talk to him about drywall sculpture. Jason is a long time drywall expert who has a knack for creating the unimaginable. Not only does he create amazing sculptures, but he creates them with drywall mud which has a different temperament than other mediums.
