It was very difficult for me to narrow down how to present this episode. This is a topic I am deeply concerned about and very passionate about helping to solve the systematic issues that cause, maintain, and trap people in a broken system where homelessness is accepted as part of our society.
I decided to be super transparent and let you hear a voice recording I made right after I passed a local shelter with people, blankets, and tents spread out over the property in chilly weather.
That is at the beginning. Right after, you will get to listen in on a conversation I had with one homeless man we assisted for a few weeks with a hotel stay.
This conversation unveils a lot of the stereotypes I see Christians holding as their excuse to not proactively address this issue.
My apologies for the sound quality. I am still figuring out how to edit these shows where the sound is stable and clear throughout the entire show. You may still need to turn up or down your volume as you go through each segment. ;)

This is the final episode in this particular conversation with my anonymous guest.
My palms are sweaty, I am holding back tears, and there is a tightening in my stomach.
This has barely touched the surface of what I have attempted to share, along with my guest who also has walked a similar road of remaining in a marriage, submitting to her husband, and seeking godly counsel - only to end up realizing she and her children needed to do something different to break the cycle of abuse (even though it was not blatant physical abuse or adultery).
I hope what we have shared is enough, for the time being. I hope it is enough to reach and speak to that woman (or man) out there who feels bound in a covenant relationship that is toxic. I want you to know, if your spouse is NOT willing, or able, to work alongside you to fix these broken habits, patterns, routines, and triggers - then you need to consider separation.
Not necessarily divorce, but a physical separation, for a set time if you must, in order to break that cycle of abuse and toxicity. It will NOT be better for your children to "stay together" in the sense of under one roof. Perhaps, you could separate and keep "dating" - it does not have to turn into a nasty divorce.
But, do not remain in bondage in a toxic marriage. I no longer believe this is what God intended - and He knows, I really tried.
I believe the church can do better in this area of support for our families, and hopefully, this podcast series will be one seed toward that outcome.

There is so much information about this topic, it can be overwhelming.
A woman posted a question to her friends if they personally knew of anyone who had been injured by getting the shot. Within less than 2 days, there were over 600 comments in response. It was alarming to read how many people had specific and similar injuries and even death.
I wanted to read some of these heartbreaking comments on this podcast as a way to give you the information and also a way for you to more easily share it with people you love who are waiting on "the science". We don't need a scientist to tell us there is a problem.
