I wrote this poem to express my feelings about what it's like to be treated differently for existing as ones authentic self. People spread misinformation about trans individuals and that impacts us negatively. We've experienced so much unkindness but we continue to love ourselves and the rest of the world.
I wrote this a few years ago, but I think that this is a beautiful piece about getting to know someone on a deeper level than just sexually.
This is a poem I created to spread awareness about mental health. My hope is that the underlying message gets received. Many of us struggle with severe depression and sometimes we believe that suicide is our only option when in reality it's not. I just want you to know that you're never alone and there will always be someone out there to support you.
