Kevin Persaud is a local Colorado Springs artist, spoken word artist, educator, and activist. Having moved to Colorado from the Bronx, Kevin has made himself a prominent member of the COS arts community.
Kevin has always found himself most connected through expression. Seeing the lack of Brown art, he has created a space for himself and others to thrive.
He also boasts the Cottonwood Center for the Arts as they (Kevin included) bring change to the COS art space and get the younger community involved.
High art needs a drastic change, and Kevin is thrilled to be part of that change. Persaud states, "The art scene in Colorado can flourish if we allow it and not stifle young voices. We need to be more conscious of the art we surround ourselves with."

He retired from the USAF in 2014 then became a mortgage lender in 2014 with Caliber Home Loans. Dr. Abair then started as VP producing branch manager with Armed Forces and Academy Banks in January 2019.
Dr. Abair is a certified VA Loan expert. He does 50/50 VA versus conventional/jumbo financing of one- to four-unit residential properties nationwide. His business focuses on timely closings, low prices, and relationship building. He wants to be the last residential lender his clients ever have to interview.
