Tune in Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for a devotional reading, bible verse, and prayer time before taking on your busy lives. Thank you for joining me on this journey - I pray the time we share inspires you to dive even deeper into your relationship with the Lord.
This is episode 88 where we talk about how I think some people try to control their mouths but do nothing about their thoughts. That's like pulling off the top of a weed, unless the root is dug up, the weed always comes back. You'll never control your mouth unless you first learn to control your mind.
Proverbs 18:21 says "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits."
Prayer: Holy Spirit, I want to change my thoughts so that I can speak life-giving words. Help me fill my thoughts with Your Truth so that my words reflect You. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 87 where we talk about how We don't all live in the same season at the same time. You should never be jealous of someone who is enjoying harvest while you're still in the planting season. Remember, they had to go through a season of planting just as you are.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us that "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven"
Prayer: Lord, because seedtime is necessary for harvest time, I won't get discouraged while I'm waiting and feeling like nothing's happening. I will continue to obey and trust You, knowing that You will bring me into my harvest at just the right time. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 86 where we talk about how I've made mistakes in my life, and I'm sure I'll make mistakes in the future, but I still like myself. The fact is, I don't do everything right all the time, but that doesn't affect who I am. I know I'm loved and I'm still a good person. That's because I've learned to separate my 'who,' new creature in Christ, from my 'do.'
2 Corinthians 5:17 says "This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!"
Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me to separate my 'do' from my 'who'. I can like myself and experience freedom from shame because You are constantly working in my life. Pease guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 85 where we talk about how many of us spend far too much time trying to figure out how we can get blessings for ourselves. People sometimes spend their entire lives trying to accomplish what they think is important, never trusting God or letting Him lead them. In the end, this leaves them depressed and unfulfilled.
Psalm 37:3 says, "Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper."
Prayer: God, I don't want to live a selfish, self-centered life. I trust You to bring the right blessings into my life while I'm busy doing good for everyone You've placed in my life. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 84 where we talk about how we certainly don't want to move in the flesh or out of God's timing, but when God is moving, you can't be afraid to move with Him. Satan brings fear to our mind and emotions when the Holy Spirit is trying to lead us in a new direction. He tries to use fear to keep us from moving forward with God.
Isaiah 41:10 says, 'Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.'
Prayer: Lord, I want to follow You wherever You lead. Help me to place my fear aside and move forward with You. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 83 where we talk about how enduring also means going through a time of temptation without letting it change your attitude or commitment. Jesus never treated people differently when He was being tempted, and when we have Christian maturity, we can follow His example. Jesus understands exactly what we're facing with temptation. Sometimes He allows us to face temptations so He can bring attention to areas of weakness in our lives and help us overcome them. The only way you can have all that Jesus wants you to have is to be what He wants you to be. And that maturity comes through trials.
James 1:12 says, "Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him."
Prayer: Holy Spirit, I believe You are with me during times of temptation so that I can be patient and stand strong, always staying one step ahead of the devil. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 82 where we talk about how our number one enemy is emotions. We tend to be led by how we feel, but we must realize that feelings are fickle and change from day today. We should be careful not to follow every thought that comes to our mind because our thoughts and feelings don't dictate truth to us.
John 14:16 says 'And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,'
Prayer: Holy Spirit, I can't control my emotions and behavior on my own. Thank You for helping me by giving me Your power to lead me to victory. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 81 where we talk about how If you want to have power in your marriage and in your prayer life, then you have to get along. The big question is: How can a disagreeing couple learn to agree? Agreement comes when the people involved stop being selfish. Selfishness is an immature inward focus. The key is to care about what the other person needs, be willing to humble yourself, and do what you can to meet those needs.
Matthew 18:20 says "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
Prayer: God, I want to experience the power of agreement in my marriage. Help us to live selflessly so that we can effectively gather together in Your name. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 80 where we talk about how our negative thoughts cause us to speak the words that will shape our future. When we speak the wrong things, it can be like a fire in our lives.
James 3:6 Says “And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.”
Prayer: God, I want to speak positive, life-giving words. I invite You into my thought life and want to have a renewed mind, the mind of Christ, so I can please You with the words of my mouth. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 79 where we talk about how Jesus didn't promise that we'd never have to deal with stressful situations. In John 16:33, He said, "In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration." But He goes on to say that we can be of good cheer because He has conquered the world.
Luke 10:19 says, "Behold! I have given you authority, over all the power that the enemy possesses; and nothing shall in any way harm you."
Prayer: God, I receive the authority and the power that You have given me. Show me how to walk in Your authority and overcome the trials and challenges of this world like Christ. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 78 where we talk about how The world - those we know and deal with on a daily basis - is continually trying to conform us to its image. The word conform means "to be similar in form or character; to behave in accordance with prevailing modes or customs."
3 John 1:11 says "Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God."
Prayer: Holy Spirit, keep me from falling into the trap of conforming to the world's mold. Help me to imitate good and live like Christ. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 77 where we talk about how many marriages would be saved from divorce if husbands and wives would just be willing to show love by serving one another. It seems that everyone today wants to be "free" and Jesus has indeed set us free. But He never intended for us to use that freedom selfishly. He wants us to serve our spouses in love.
Colossians 3:18-19 says "Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
Prayer: God, I don't want to be selfish in my marriage. Help me to serve my spouse like You want me too, loving them with more than just words. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 76 where we talk about how you need to speak good things about yourself (as private confessions) in line with what the Word says about you. For example: "I am the righteousness of God in Christ. I am made acceptable in the Beloved. God created me and formed me with His own hands, and God doesn't make mistakes."
Matthew 12:37 says "for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Prayer: God, I'm done with speaking negative things about myself. I declare the truth that You love me and accept me. I can be all that You created me to be. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 75 where we talk about how The Bible is full of hope-filled promises for you and me. We have access to God's presence. He wants to heal us of our diseases. He will supply all our needs. There are so many more, too many to count! That's why it's so sad when Christians miss out on God's promises due to lack of faith.
Romans 5:2 says 'Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.'
Prayer: God, I expect and rejoice in Your promises for me. I believe that You can bring to pass everything that I'm promised in Your Word. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 74 where we talk why is it that we find ourselves thinking, "Nothing will ever change... I'm always going to be like this... My situation will never change... He'll never change... She'll never change... I'm never going to be as good as so-and-so?" The only thing that can never change is God. Everything else can change.
Malachi 3:6 says “For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed."
Prayer: God, sometimes I feel like my situations will never change, but I know that You can change them. I choose to receive Your joy and I trust You to change my life. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 73 where we talk about how we're going to have adverse feelings, or God wouldn't have needed to provide the fruit of self-control. Just being tempted to do something is not sin. It's when you don't resist the temptation and do it anyway that it becomes sin. In the same way, it's not necessarily wrong to be angry, but it can lead to very sinful actions.
Ephesians 4:26 tells us, "Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil."
Prayer: God, help me to deal with anger in the ways You intended without sinning. I give You control over my anger and trust You to work all things out for my good. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 72 where we talk about how as Christians, God places compassion within each one of us, but it's up to us to decide whether we close or open our heart to receive it. I've found that one thing that really keeps my heart of compassion open is to seriously think about the needs that are in the world today.
John 3:17-18 says "But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? 18Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth."
Prayer: God, I don't want to live selfishly oblivious to the needs of others. I open my heart to receive Your compassion so that I can help others. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 70 where we talk about how all of us go through difficult times in our lives, and like a ship in a storm, we need help to remain steady. A ship has an anchor to help it hold steady, and the Bible says that the anchor of our soul is hope.
Hebrews 6:19 says "We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,"
Prayer: God, I put my hope in You. My expectation for the great things You're going to do in my life is my anchor in trying times. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 69 where we talk about how God gives His children big dreams to pursue in life. In order for those dreams to be fulfilled, we must spend time in training, cooperating with God in a process of personal development. This process includes time, determination and hard work.
Proverbs 6:6-8 says "Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest."
Prayer: Lord, I want to be all You created me to be and fulfill the dreams You've put in my heart. Help me to stay focused on You and put in the time, determination and hard work necessary to grow in Christ and live out the plans You have for me. This is episode 68 where we talk about how God doesn't just speak to ministers and pastors. He's speaking to everyone in every walk of life. A lot of people don't expect to hear from God at all, but in reality, He is speaking to all of us. He is speaking to you.
Deuteronomy 5:29 says "Oh that they had such a heart as this always, to fear me and to keep all my commandments, that it might go well with them and with their descendants forever!"
Prayer: Lord, I believe that You are speaking to me, and I will purposefully listen to and live out what You tell me to do so that it 'might go well' with me. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 67 where we talk about how after all the painful things that have happened in your past have come and gone, God still wants you to enjoy every single day of your life. This won't happen, however, until you make up your mind to take hold of the abundant life that Jesus' death and resurrection purchased for you. Until then, the devil will always try to take it away.
Ephesians 4:24 says "and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness."
Prayer: God, I choose to daily, actively put on the new nature that Jesus purchased for me. I am regenerated in Christ - a new, happy and whole creation in You! Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 66 where we talk about how people are born to be free; it's a gift from God. The question is, are you willing to go through whatever it takes to be free, or do you want to stay in the mess you're in for the rest of your life? If you want to be free, the key is to start doing what God wants you to do, one step at a time, and you'll eventually walk out of your messes.
In 2 Timothy 4:5, Paul told Timothy to be calm, cool and steady and to keep performing the duties of his ministry. That's good advice for all of us.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me to be calm, cool and steady, so that I can be free to do the work that You are calling me to do. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I submit myself to Your instruction. I want to have a mature, solid faith in You. This is episode 64 where we talk about how each day is a new opportunity to close the door on the past and experience a brand-new start. Even the fact that God divided the days into twenty-four-hour segments is evidence that we need to start over on a regular basis. There is always a new day, a new month and a new year. But in order for us to make use of these new beginnings, we must make a decision to do so.
Lamentations 3:22-23 says "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Prayer: God, I'm so glad that You're mercies are new every morning! I can start fresh every day because of Your love, mercy, compassion and faithfulness to me! Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 63 where we talk about how true confidence never comes from how we feel or what we can or can't do - it comes from having a revelation of who we are in Christ. When we really know how much God loves us and receive His healing from past hurts, then we will no longer feel the need to base our confidence on things of the flesh.
Philippians 3:3 says "For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh"
Prayer: God, I don't have to walk around feeling bad about what's wrong with me because I know who I am in Christ. My confidence is in You! Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 62 where we talk about how I believe that one of the lies we often face is that we are the only one fighting against the devil. The devil likes to isolate us and make us think that we are the only one going through what we are going through. The truth is, we are all fighting. You're not the only one who gets worn out. You're not the only one who gets tired of standing and resisting Satan's lies and even resisting your own feelings.
Isaiah 43:2 says "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you."
Prayer: God, thank You for being with me and for all Your followers who are also fighting against the enemy. I won't believe the lie that says I am alone. You are faithful and always with those in the body of Christ. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 61 where we talk about how as believers, right thinking is something that is so important we simply can't live without it. Just like our heartbeat, it's vital because many of the problems we deal with in our lives are rooted in wrong thinking patterns, which are not based on the truth.
Romans 8:5 says "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit."
Prayer: God, You have shown me that right thinking is absolutely vital. I will seek You regularly so that I can think the right thoughts. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 60 where we talk about how there are certain messages in the Bible that apply to everything and self-control is one of them. It doesn't matter what kind of problem we have in our lives, self-control comes into play in every area. If we don't discipline ourselves, our emotions will rule us and our lives will be miserable.
John 14:17 says "even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you."
Prayer: God, I choose a spirit of discipline and self-control. By the power of Your Spirit in me, I will do what You tell me to do and not be controlled by my feelings. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 59 where we talk about how all anger, regardless of its cause, has the same effect on our lives. It upsets us, causing us to feel pressure. Keeping anger locked inside and pretending it doesn't exist can even be dangerous to our health. Most of the time we're only hurting ourselves, and the person who angered us isn't even aware of it.
Ecclesiastes 7:9 says "Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the heart of fools."
Prayer: Lord, I don't want to keep my anger inside of me because that will only damage me and it's not pleasing to You. I ask for Your help. Help me to relieve the pressure of anger in my life. This is episode 57 where we talk about how when we live in pride, trying to succeed without God's help, we're left open to so many attacks of the enemy. But humility is a covering that draws the help of God into our lives to protect us. When we humble ourselves by saying, "God, I don't know what to do, and I'm trusting You," God will help us.
1 Peter 5:5 says "Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
Prayer: God, I humble myself before You, knowing that You will exalt me in due time. I can't succeed on my own. I need Your help. Please guide myself and anyone listening right now wherever you need us to go. We love you with everything we have Lord, Amen!

We must learn to say yes when He says yes and no when He says no. When we're obedient to God's leading, we'll be able to accomplish what He gives us to do and walk in peace.
Romans 7:6 says "But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code."
Prayer: God, I don't want to be too exhausted to obey Your promptings. I choose to follow Your plans and glorify You in my life. I love you so much Lord, thank you for everything you've blessed me with. Amen!

This is episode 55 where we talk about one thing that draws us into temptation is thinking too highly of ourselves and trusting ourselves too much. This is an attitude planted by the enemy. We get prideful and think we're just fine, but then Satan tempts us and we fall into sin.
1 Corinthians 10:12 says "Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall."
Prayer: God, I want to listen and obey Your good 'temptations.' When the enemy tries to make me stumble, show me Your perfect plan that I can follow instead. Thank you for loving me always Father, Amen!

This is episode 54 where we talk about how when we choose to be the person God created us to be - unique and different than everybody else - we have to expect some criticism. But you won't like yourself very much if you go against your own convictions.
Galatians 1:10 says "For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ."
Prayer: God, I don't want to live trying to please others. I dare to be different. I want to win Your favor and be the person You made me to be. I love you forever and always Lord, Amen!

This is episode 53 where we talk about how God has good plans for you and He wants you to enjoy your life. He doesn't want you to live with a spirit of heaviness, despair, depression or discouragement. The good news is, your attitude and outlook can change when you look to God and let Him lift you up.
Psalm 3:3 says "But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head."
Prayer: God, You are my glory and the lifter of my head. I choose to look to You. Help me to keep my focus on You and trust You to bring Your good plans to pass in my life today. I love you with everything I have Lord, Amen!

This is episode 52 where we talk about how when someone makes us angry, Satan likes to attack us and keep us upset. Responding in a positive way is the direct opposite of what the enemy wants you to do, defeating his plan to keep you upset. It doesn't come naturally, and it isn't always easy, but when we do what we can do, God will do what we can't do.
Romans 12:19 says "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
Prayer: God, I believe that vengeance is Yours and that paying people back in anger is not something You want me to do. I give my anger to You and trust that You will take care of me. I love you forever and always Lord, Amen!

This is episode 51 where we talk about how forgiveness helps us because it releases God to do His work in us. I'm happier and feel better physically when I'm not filled with the poison of unforgiveness. Serious diseases can develop as a result of the stress and pressure that bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness put on a person.
2 Corinthians 2:10-11 says "Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive. Indeed, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ, so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs."
Prayer: God, I don't want to give Satan a foothold or a stronghold in my life. I don't want anything to hinder or get in the way of my fellowship with You. I release my unforgiveness so that I can fellowship freely with You. I love you forever and always Lord, thank you for this life we've been given. Amen!

This is episode 50 where we talk about how often we feel divided within ourselves, struggling to get finished with common life and everyday business so we can return to holy things because we feel that we are holier, or more right with God, when we are doing what we believe to be holy things.
Romans 14 is an excellent chapter in the Bible to bring liberty in this area. My personal translation of verses 5-6 is that one man sees prayer and Bible study as holier than ordinary tasks, while a person who's really free in the Lord sees them all alike (all holy), because whatever he does, he does in honor of the Lord.
Prayer: God, I want my entire life to be holy, not just one section of it. I offer all of my everyday activities to You. I live my life to honor You. Thank you for hearing these words today Lord, I love you with everything I have, Amen!

This is episode 49 where we talk about how we all have emotions, and they're here to stay. I believe one of the main goals of every believer should be emotional stability. We should seek God to learn how to manage our emotions and not allow them to manage us.
Colossians 3:15 says "And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful."
Prayer: Lord, I choose to let Your peace rule in my heart. I don't want to make decisions based on my emotions, but I want to calmly and peacefully choose the paths that You want me to take. Thank you for hearing these words today Lord, I love you with everything I have, Amen!

This is episode 48 where we talk about how if you want the great and mighty things God has for you, then you must get to the root of your negative mindsets and deal with them. Because until the roots are removed, they'll continue to produce one bad fruit after another.
1 Peter 5:9 tells us "Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world."
Prayer: God, I need Your help to withstand the devil's plan. I know digging out bad roots is painful, but if it brings me closer to Your plan for me, I want to do it. Strengthen me as I resist the devil and submit myself to follow You. Thank you for hearing these words today Lord, I love you with everything I have, Amen!

This is episode 47 where we talk about how if you want to have peace in your relationships, you will need to be willing to be flexible. Pushing for your own way all the time will only hurt and offend those around you. But when you take to heart Paul's encouragement to 'live at peace with everyone,' the Holy Spirit will fill your relationships with His joy and peace.
Romans 12:16 says "Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight."
Prayer: God, help us to bend so that we won't break. We want Your peace in our relationships, so we choose to be flexible today. We love you Father, and it's in your great name we pray with everything we have, Amen!

This is episode 46 where we talk about how even though our problems may have been brought upon us because of the upbringing we had or something done against our will, we have no excuse for allowing the problem to persist, grow, and even take control over our entire life. Our past experiences may have made us the way we are, but we don't have to stay that way. We can take the initiative by taking positive steps to change things, and we can ask for God's help.
2 Corinthians 13:5 says "Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!"
Prayer: God, I don't want to live in denial and fear of my problems. I choose to evaluate myself and get to the bottom of these issues because I know that You can help me work through them to have a happier life. I pray these words over anyone listening right now, we love you Jesus, and it's in your great name we pray, Amen!

This is episode 45 where we talk about how in today's society many people feel their status is dependent on their job or position in the church. Because of this mindset, they're afraid someone else may get promoted ahead of them. Jealousy causes them to try to be important in the eyes of man. If you have this problem, understand that God has you where you are for a reason. He knows what's in your future, and He may have you in training for it right now.
James 3:16 says "For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice."
Prayer: God, jealousy is dangerous and I don't want to have any part of it. My status isn't dependent on worldly positions and recognition. All I need is You. Thank you so much for hearing my words today Father, I love you and it's in your great name I pray, Amen!

This is episode 44 where we talk about how a lot of people think God won't use them until every area of their life is perfected. That type of thinking keeps people from allowing God to use them. He uses us in spite of us, not because of us.
2 Chronicles 16:9 says "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars.”
Prayer: God, I know that you love me despite my weaknesses and flaws. I thank You for this love and turn my heart to You, knowing that You can use me when I follow You with a perfect heart. I ask that you bless anyone listening to this today, and know that we love you with everything we have Lord. It's in your great name we pray today, Amen!

God is positive, and He wants positive things to happen to each of us, so fill yourself with His hope today and live with the happy anticipation of good things.
Proverbs 13:12 says " Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life."

Psalm 119:105 says "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

Philippians 4:19 says "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Prayer: God, Your Word says that You will supply all my needs, so I won't give in to the fear of lack. I believe that You love me and that You will come through and provide for me. I love you so much Lord and it's in your great name I pray these words today, Amen!

Romans 5:15 says "But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many."
Prayer: God, I can't live life successfully without Your grace in my life. I want to follow Your call, and I ask You to help me to live each day the way You want me to live. I love you, and I pray all of this in Jesus great name, Amen!

This is episode 39 where we talk about how it's tough to enjoy life when you don't like yourself. People who haven't learned to accept and get along with themselves tend to have more difficulty accepting and getting along with others. The Bible says a good tree will bear good fruit, and a rotten tree will bear rotten fruit. Likewise, the "fruit" of our lives comes from the "root" within us. If you're rooted in shame, guilt, inferiority, rejection, lack of love and acceptance, etc., the fruit of your relationships will suffer.
Mark 12:31 says "The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Prayer: God, I want to be rooted in Your love for me. Without Your love, I can't love myself or others, so I receive it today. Thank you for hearing these prayers and loving us endlessly. In Jesus great name, Amen!

Matthew 7:12 says "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets."
Prayer: God, I have nothing to gain by living a selfish life. Instead of waiting for people to be good to me, I'm going to be good to them first, treating them the way I want to be treated. Prayer: God, I will not fear man. You did not design me to live for the approval of others. Today, I dare to be different. I want to be a God pleaser, living as the unique individual You created me to be. Work through us today Father, and guide us to the places you created only for us. This is episode 36 where we talk about how Satan tempts us to live a low life, but God tempts us to come up higher. One of the worst mistakes we can make is to get complacent, thinking that what we have right now is okay. A mindset of low expectations holds us back because God can only do through us what we believe for.
Matthew 16:26 says "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?"

This is episode 34 where we talk about how as Christians, although we may be in the world, according to John 17, we are not of the world. We don't have to operate by the world's system, reacting like the world. Our attitude and approach should be entirely different. The world responds to difficulties by being upset and discouraged, but Jesus said in John 14:27 that we should stop allowing ourselves to be agitated, disturbed or upset.
Prayer: God, You said that even though I am in the world, I don't have to be of it. I choose Your attitudes and mindsets today. Even in the midst of this world, I choose to respond with Your peace and the mind of Christ. Thank you for blessing of another day, we love you so much Lord. Philippians 4:4 says to "rejoice in the Lord always." When we're focused on God, rejoicing in Him, depression has no place in us. So the next time the enemy tries to make you feel low or sad, choose to rejoice in the Lord!
Prayer: God, You are wonderful and amazing, which is why I can rejoice in You always. Depression has no place in my life because I am filled with You! I love you so much Lord, and it's in your great name we pray today, Amen!

And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear."

Just get back up, dust yourself off, and start again.
Romans 5:3 says "Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,"

This is episode 26 where we talk about how God gives us hopes and dreams for certain things to happen in our lives, but He doesn't always allow us to see the exact timing of His plan. Although frustrating, not knowing the exact timing is often what keeps us in the program. When we accept God's timing, we can learn to live in hope and enjoy our lives while God is working on our problems.
Exodus 13:17-18 tells us that God led the Israelites the longer, harder way on their journey to the Promised Land because He knew they were not yet ready to go in. There had to be time for their training, and they had to go through some very trying situations. And in the process, God never failed to take care of them and show them what He wanted them to do.
Prayer: God, we accept Your timing. We may not always understand, but we know Your ways are perfect and we completely trust in You. This is episode 24 where we talk about how to find peace in our lives, we simply need to obey the promptings God gives us each day.
In 1 Kings, the Lord didn't use the great and strong wind, the earthquake or fire to prompt Elijah. His voice came to Elijah as a sound of gentle stillness and a still, small voice. A prompting doesn't even have to be a voice at all. In fact, God often gives direction by speaking to your heart rather than to your ears.
Prayer: Lord, help me to listen closely to hear Your guidance every day. I want Your peace, so I will listen to You. We know you always have the best plans despite us not always being able to fathom the bigger picture. We love You and it's in Jesus great name we pray, Amen!

Isaiah 64:8 says "But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand."

This is episode 22 where we talk about the only way to have victory in our lives is to play by God's rules, and He says we must quit worrying if we want to have peace. So when things come our way that cause us to be concerned, we need God's help. How do we get it? Todays verse from First Peter 5:6 says that we need to humble ourselves.
1 Peter 5:6 says Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,
Prayer: God, I know that I can't run my life on my own, so I humble myself today and ask You for help. I trust You and give You control in my life. I pray that everyone hearing this right now does the same. We love you Lord, and it's in your great name we pray, Amen!

This is episode 21 where we talk about the importance of a smile! Most people really don't understand how expressing joy will change their circumstances and, perhaps, the lives of others. Living your life with the joy of the Lord will chase off negative, depressing circumstances. And when we have His joy deep down inside of us, we can't help but put it on display by smiling!
Proverbs 15:13 says "A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed."
Prayer: Lord, remind us to smile daily! You've given us great joy, and we want to display it and brighten the lives of others! We love You with everything we have, and it's in Your great name we pray, Amen!

2 Corinthians 10:4 says "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds."
Prayer: God, I don't want to be deceived, ignoring the real battle that's happening in my mind. Keep me on guard so that I can fight the good fight. With You on my side, I can't lose! We love you Lord, it's in your great name we pray with everything we have, AMEN!

This is episode 19 where we talk about how many times we think we should wait to do something until we are no longer afraid, but if we did that, we'd probably accomplish very little for God, for others, or even for ourselves. Abram had to step out in faith and obedience to God, despite his fear.
Genesis 12:1 says "Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you."
Prayer: God, You were faithful to Abram when he obeyed You in spite of fear, so I also decide to put my fear aside and do whatever You tell me to do. Please guide us today as we step into the things we fear doing most that usually need to be done. We love you father, and it's in your great name we pray, Amen!

This is episode 18 where we talk about how for change to occur in your life, you can't be a prisoner of your circumstances. Know that God is willing to help you today. You just have to decide to trust Him, get up, and actively pursue the freedom He's giving you!
**During a Jewish feast in Jerusalem, Jesus visited the Bethesda pool where sick people gathered, hoping to get healed. One of the people waiting to get healed was a man who had been crippled for 38 years. When Jesus saw him, He asked if he wanted to be healed.
To me, the man's answer tells us why he hadn't been healed in 38 years. He said, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred." Bottom line, the man was avoiding responsibility.**
Prayer: God, I don't want to be a victim of my circumstances. I want to change. I receive Your strength and Your freedom today. I believe that real change can occur in my life as I walk with You. I also believe that these things can happen for anyone who is listening right now if they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior. So it's in Your great name we pray, with everything we have, we love you God, AMEN!

Habakkuk 2:3 says “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”
Prayer: God, I know that Your timing is perfect, even when I get tired of waiting. Help me to trust in You and rest in Your plan for me. Please give us the peace and patience needed to fulfill the plans you have for us today. It's in Your great name we pray, with everything we have, AMEN!

This is episode 16 where we talk about how there are usually two sides to everything. The cross has two: a crucifixion side and a resurrection side. Jesus had to endure one side to get to the other. But if He hadn't endured, then we'd all still be left without a Savior and no forgiveness of our sins.
Hebrews 12:2 says "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
Prayer: God, we want to endure like Jesus. Help us to get a vision for the joy of obtaining the prize that awaits us so that we can endure whatever trial comes our way. It's in Your great name we pray, with everything we have, AMEN!

This is episode 14 where we talk about how it's okay for us to say, "I've reached my limit." Yes, scripture says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" , but that's really referring to times when we face various trials and situations that God will help us through.
Numbers 11:12 says “Did I conceive all this people? Did I give them birth, that you should say to me, ‘Carry them in your bosom, as a nurse carries a nursing child,’ to the land that you swore to give their fathers?
Prayer: God, sometimes it's hard for us to slow down and say no to more responsibility. Today please help us to live with the balance of responsibility You created for us, so we can live with Your peace and enjoy life. It’s in his great name we pray with everything we have, amen!

This is episode 13 where we talk about the world we live in today and how we will have all kinds of problems, frustrations and difficulties. That's just life. So knowing this, what do we do? We must remain steadfast and persevere. In other words, the answer is never give up! No matter what's going on in our lives, the victory is in refusing to quit.
Galatians 6:9 says: "So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up"
Prayer: God, I believe that You are at work in our lives, even during difficult times. We choose today to remain strong and to never give up in obedience to You. When we lose focus and have a few missteps, let us center our minds back on Jesus, who made the ultimate sacrifice by taking on the cross to cover our sins. May we never forget that eternal love for us. It's in his great name we pray with everything we have, Amen!

This is episode 11 where we talk about how God doesn't always stop tragedy, and we honestly don't always know why bad things happen. We have to remember that faith will always require us to accept unanswered questions, and we must come to the place where we're satisfied to know the One who knows and place our trust in Him.
James 1:17 says “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”
Prayer: God, we may not always understand why bad things happen, but I know that You are good. When I don't understand why, I will find my comfort in You. I pray that anyone struggling right now finds that peace today and experiences your everlasting love.
