Join Pastor Nick & Guest for weekly inspiration, challenging messages, and sermons to build your faith. As a church our vision is to see our community grow closer to Christ, be givers like Christ, and re-introduce the lost to Christ.
So we are encouraged to come boldly to the throne of God who is gracious with all of our disorders, diseases, and afflictions. What we get when we do come to him with these things is his mercy, and his grace to help us when we need it most.
"Our thoughts lead to formulating our purposes which proceed to dictate our actions and our actions become character determining habits, shaping the life and setting the course for the future."
"Anxiety is a universal experience. In contrast to fear, which is the apprehension of a real and present danger, anxiety anticipates possible dangers in the future and helplessly dwells on how to reduce them."
"Tithing [giving in general] isnt for Gods benefit. He doesnt need our money. Instead, tithing is meant for our benefit, because sacrificing a portion of our income reminds us to rely on God to meet our needs. Plus, it makes us more aware of the needs of others."

"When Jesus ascended He went beyond the earthly atmosphere. When he entered Heaven, He was the triumphant Son of God who now was given "the glory" which He had with the Father "before the world was". But He wasn't simply returning to heaven to pick up where He left off when He came to earth. Jesus returned as the eternal God-man, He was eternally joined to flesh. He was now a man in the glory, with a new priestly ministry of intercession and advocacy."

On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the Gospel, the historical fact that a man named Jesus who was the son of God, who lived a sinless life on earth for 33 years, who was brutally beaten and crucified on the cross in doing so becoming the atonement, the propitiation for our sins, resurrected from the dead and left an empty tomb as proof. But do we understand what the cross accomplished for us?
"The justice of God had been offended by the sin of mankind. The sin could not be retracted and the nature of God could not forgive the sinner without a payment of satisfaction. The price of satisfaction was the blood of Jesus Christ, and the act of satisfaction is propitiation."
One of the most difficult doctrines to understand within Christology is the relationship of His divine and human nature. Is He half God and half man? Is he God sometimes and man at other times? The Bible is clear that Jesus is both God and man at all times, at the same time.
The incarnation of Jesus Christ is central to all Christian doctrine. "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us". In other words, the Son of God who was from eternity became human, God became human.
"At stake in the controversy surrounding the doctrine of the virgin birth of Christ are a number of other doctrines. If Jesus had a human father, he would have inherited a sin nature. In that case, he would be unable to save Himself, let alone be the sinless substitute for the sins of the world. With human parents, it would be impossible for Him to be the Son of God."
"When we guard our hearts, we take responsibility for our mental, psychological, and spiritual well-being. In doing so, we protect ourselves from sinful influences that impede spiritual progress. By guarding our hearts, we become who God designed us to be."

In part 4 of our series, Small Wins Add Up, Pastor Nick challenges us not to just think about changing our own life, but to take baby steps toward helping others change their life. This is our purpose. Our salvation is not just about us but about those connected to us as well.
Reliance on God should be first and foremost in every season of our life especially in the times where we desire to be better versions of ourselves. Something so simple can be challenging for us but small wins such as consistent obedience and reliance on God adds up.
Doing great things takes intentional effort and when you choose to do things like turn your life around for God, it's going to require vigor, determination, mentally and physically. In Part 2 of our series Small Wins Add Up, Pastor Nick encourages us to keep doing the small things because God sees your effort.
In this series, Small Wins Add Up, it's about taking small steps to make incremental improvement in your faith and your life to become a better version of yourself. Do not despise the day of small beginnings for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.
The nature of all demonic activity centers around two ultimate objectives: Extending the kingdom of Satan and Destroying the plan of God. We use the final installment of our series to discuss the different ways demons attempt to accomplish these objectives.
"As a result of Satan's inherent evilness towards God, it is reasonable to assume that anything or any person who aligns himself with God immediately becomes the object of Satan's wrath." We talk about the purpose of the principalities in Part 3 of our series.
If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle. Today, we dive deeper into the personhood of Satan and Demons to better understand our enemy.
In Part 1 of this series, we discuss the reality of the enemies realm and set the stage for the coming weeks. We are reminded that satan and his demons are REAL (Real, Enemies, Accusers, and Lurking).
In the same way that Paul was countering the Jewish Christian culture in his epistle to the church in Galatia, we have to be counter to culture in how we treat people who may have messed up or missed the mark today. There are a few things that stand out from Paul's text to the church that can help us.

Our salvation is not just about ourselves but also about the people connected to us. In 1 Timothy 4:16, Paul tells Timothy, "Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers."
We are the link to Jesus for those who have never met Jesus or heard about Him. For those people in our lives that God has allowed us to come across, we should be thinking why did God bring this person in my life? Why did God place me in this position? The answer is simple, be a bridge.
A question to ask ourselves is have I been reckless with what God has given me? Am I stewarding what God put in my hands well? We might be reckless but God does not abandon us.
James' message to us on the topic of submission is all about being proactive, not reactive. When we are reactive, we are acting in response to a situation rather than creating or controlling it. When we are proactive we are creating or controlling a situation by causing something to happen rather than responding to it after it has happened.
In the last three chapters of James, we see James teaching us what it means to demonstrate our faith. Over three chapters, we are taught multiple lessons that if we engaged in, it would be a demonstration of what we actually believe.
"For James, works is a natural result of faith. When a person truly believes in something, he or she will act on that belief."
"Living an effective Christian life in a sinful world means we must learn how to respond to all types of trials and testing." And this is what James is teaching us throughout chapter 1.
James' epistle is a call to action for all believers to get their life in line with what they believe. In this foundational installment of our new sermon series on the book of King James, Pastor Nick challenges us to ask the tough question; Is your life in line with what you believe?
Joel does five distinct things that we as Christians must do in the midst of trouble as were experiencing it. Not just trouble as in a pandemic but everyday issues that the enemy would try to throw at us.
Were at a time in life where things have felt chaotic and uncertain, and some things have felt very indefinite and it creates a lot of worry and even fear at times. So what do we do when things are out of our control?
With all the things happening in life, we need to be reminded who is in control and move from fearful to faith-full. The way we do that is by fighting fear and trusting God.
How can we truly be one nation under God; showing honor for His stripes over our allegiance to the flag.
