Welcome to 3 gens theology, we see as a high priority and even a commandment from the scriptures that all believers should be rooted and grounded in Christ and in their faith so we desire to give a scriptural foundation, to come along side as an encouragement to help you as you pursue your walk in Christ.
Maintaining
· Walk not as fools, but as those who are wise;
· Take advantage of every moment
· Understand the will of the Lord and walk in it [All of these are in Ephesians 5:15-17]
· Be filled with the Holy Spirit [already discussed]
· Grieving the Spirit through sin (Ephesians 4:30 through 32)
· Quenching the Spirit through disobedience [refusing to obey] (1 Thess. 5:19)
· No sinless perfection, so confession of sin is vital (1 John 1:9)
· Growing and maturing in Christ (1Thesalonians 4:1-8).

• Have life in their formerly spiritually dead mortal bodies (Romans 8:10-11)
• Can abound in hope (Romans 15:13) • Are free from the law (Galatians 5:18)
• Enjoy the benefit of the presence of the Holy Spirit who is jealous concerning our relationship with God in this world (James 4:5)
• Are sanctified, set apart by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Peter 1:2)
• Are empowered to be victorious over the flesh (Galatians 5:16; Romans 8:9, 13)
• Effectively use the Word of God and pray when in spiritual conflict (Ephesians 6:17-18)
• Are enabled to live their lives (walk) by means of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:1; 8:4; Galatians 5:25)
• Are led by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14)
• Are moved by the Spirit to cry out “Abba, Father!” (Galatians 4:6)
• Have the witness of the Spirit to their spirits that they are God’s children (Romans 8:16)
• Are sealed by the Holy Spirit, Who is the guarantee of their inheritance until they experience ultimate redemption [their removal, as purchased possessions, from the world] (Ephesians 1:13-14)
• Serve as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19)
• Experience the intercession of the Holy Spirit to help in times of prayer, even the believers struggle to know how to pray (Romans 8:26-28)
• Are filled with the love of God (Romans 5:5)
• Enjoy fellowship with God and one another (Philippians 2:1)
• Worship God (Philippians 3:3)
• Receive the benefit of the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit, enabling them to understand spiritual things (1 John 2:27; 1 Corinthians 2:14)
• Can be filled by the Spirit (see the next section) (Ephesians 5:18)
• Display the character of Christ through the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22; Ephesians 5:9)
• Testify that Jesus is Lord (1 Corinthians 12:3)
• Are being transformed into the glorious image of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18)
• Are given life in their mortal bodies by the Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11)
