Zach Attack your Passion! or “ZAP!” is a platform where I have an organic, unscripted, and unedited conversation with awesome people from various backgrounds. Each episode we dive into their passions, what they do, their mindset, life, advice, and anything that naturally comes up in the conversation.
Jesse, also known as Basic Printer, is a musician and creative. Jesse describes himself as a small creative man who thrives on authenticity. Jesse goes by Basic Printer because he is an open book who merely produces what's always been inside of his head. Through a conversation with Jesse, it is easy to tell that he truly walks the walk here. Jesse is unapologetically himself and it's a breath of fresh air. Jesse loves video games and finds inspiration from them in the music that he creates. In a world where it is easy to get caught up in what's "hot." Rather, Jesse just focuses on being himself. It's exciting to hear that Jesse is continuing to put out music and will be on an upcoming tour!
In this episode Jesse talks about being a musician, not being afraid to put yourself out there, Pokemon, touring, and much more!Connect with Jesse!Website: www.basicprinter.comConnect with me! Mike is making a return to the podcast but this time he is joined by Madeline. Last time we talked to Mike, he was going through his schooling to become an Occupational Therapist (OT). After completing his degree, a lot of studying, and passing his board exams, Mike is finally in his career as an OT. Madeline is also an OT and she shares a bit about her experience and how she got into the professional. Mike and Madeline share their stories and their perspectives as OTs. While chatting, I found quite a bit of similarities but also some differences between the two of their jobs and journeys to the OT career. It was great to hear that Mike is still working on content and trying to combine both of his passions of helping others and content creation. While content isn't a passion of Madeline's, it is great to see that she has found a career that is fulfilling to her and one where she can make a difference.

Three years. Wow. I remember when I first set out on the podcast journey. The podcast, and me as a person, have come a long way over the last three years. In this past year, life has been a bit busier and I’ve had more things going on. As a result, it’s taken me away from the podcast a bit. As I start year four, I want to be transparent and say that I’m not all in on the podcast right now and because of that, it might be time for a bit of a break. This isn’t a goodbye. This isn’t the end. This is just me living my life and seeing what’s out there and still coming back to the podcast like getting together with an old friend. Episodes might be sparse, but, they still will be a thing. The podcast isn’t ending and I don’t think it ever will truly end. Thank you all for the support and love over the last three years. This wouldn’t even be a thing if it wasn’t for all the incredible guests and people who have supported this journey. Here’s to a new chapter, and here’s to the podcast always being a space for me and the passions of others. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/zappodcastofficial/message

Claire is a chef, foodie, and a lover of all things food. Throughout her whole life, Claire always had a love and passionate for food. From an early age Claire would experiment with cooking and knew that that was her path in life. Fast forward to today and Claire is a chef at Albena, a fine dining restaurant located in Detroit, Michigan. Albena is a Chef's Tasting Menu that uses thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Hearing everything that goes into the dining experience that you get at Albena was absolutely fantastic. As a lover of food myself, it's very interesting to hear about how much love and time goes into the fine dining establishment. While fine dining establishments can have a lot of similarities, it was cool to learn about how Alebena differentiates itself from other restaurants. While Claire makes her living by creating elegant and elevated dishes, it was cool to hear that that isn't always the way that she cooks. Claire shares a few cooking hacks that can elevate basic meals and shares a bit about her passions and interests outside of food. I am happy to report that this chat has helped my cooking skills lol. I cannot wait to check out Albena and enjoy a one of a kind dining experience.

Before finding his way to his current role, Dan experienced basic training where he went through intense physical and mental training with the Air National Guard. However, the mental aspect of basic training was where the real work came. Through everything, Dan has had his faith to guide and ground him. Dan is extremely passionate about his faith and it plays a major role in his life. Dr. Maria Cristina, Sheehan Health and Wellness, is an expert on aging as we know it. At the age of 69 she stepped away from her academic career, where she served as a CEO for 20 years, and into the world of fitness. Today at the age of 77 she is a natural body fitness competitor winning multiple gold and silver medals in bikini, swimsuit and sports model categories in international competitions since 2017.
She became a health coach and fitness trainer and now coaches women over 55 both online and in person. She is a sought-after speaker for audiences that want to improve their health and turn back the clock.
She also enjoys providing keynote speeches on wellness and longevity and working with executives and their teams to foster healthy lifestyle habits to enhance their health and improve productivity.
She has been featured on the Aging and Awesome TV series and now hosts fitness retreats in Central America for women wanting to reclaim their bodies and energize their health.
Her programs feature how to transform your thinking about aging while mastering the movement right for you and the meal plan that is sustainable to achieve your ideal weight and highest level of energy. She is the best example of her own philosophy which is we can get stronger with age. She believes adults, especially women over 55, should not expect to be frail and dependent as the decades advance.
Her journey began at age 69 when she found herself agingtypically, slowing down gaining weight and feeling the decline she was experiencing was inevitable. She was never an athlete in fact the last picked for any sports team as a child and barely passing the PE requirement in college. In her 50s she tried everything from prepacked diet foods to exercise programs she could never sustain. Turning 69 she determined 70 was not going to go well. She took the advice of her financial consultant and turned to a bodybuilding pro expecting to solve all her weight issues in the 36 sessions he required to start working with him. She believed that she might gain hulk tyle muscles, which of course is ridiculous, and he told her so. Completing the 36 sessions taught her disciple and provided accountability and she saw that in that short amount of time she could gain strength. She needed the critical component to strength training which is nutrition and found the Health Coach Institute. She became a health coach and from there her journey continued to flourish.
She created the closed FB Group for women Flourish with Age where she provides motivation and wellness tips, exercises and information about women living longer better.
She is currently offering a special subscription program until the end of the year. It’s designed to give women that same accountability and knowledge she has acquired on her journey.
In February 2024 she will be offering the Elite Wellness Retreat in Panama There are just six spots available for this luxury once in a lifetime wellness experience which will include the latest information of longevity at its best and exciting excursions.

Kavin is a recent college graduate and aspiring musician. Music has always been a passion of Kavin's and now he is at a place in his life where he is doubling down. Kavin was involved with music at a young age and it has always been important to him. One of the best aspects of playing and performing music for Kavin is that he has always been able to do it with his friends. Now, as he is primarily focused on music, Kavin is still prioritizing working and collaborating with his friends. However, medicine is also a passion of Kavin's. Kavin decided to pursue a career in medicine while in college and he's loved all that he has learned. Kavin was always leaning towards taking a gap year for his education once completing his undergraduate degree, so he decided to use this time to really focus on music. The unique thing about Kavin is that he is equally passionate about both music and medicine and would one day love to do both at the same time. It's really cool that Kavin wants to combine some of his passions. With his skills and work ethic I have no doubt that he will be able to accomplish both. After graduating from CMU, Cassie moved down to Tennessee to pursue her passion for studying and helping the environment. Cassie has always cared about our planet and gets to work on ways that we can make our planet more sustainable and healthy for everyone. Unfortunately, topics involving the environment are often politicized, but, at the end of the day the environment and the wellness of our planet does not need to be divisive. Additionally, Cassie is a sexual health educator. Cassie works to create a safe and inclusive space for people to learn about, explore, and understand their own sexual wellness. Through her work as a sexual health educator, Cassie also has her own business called From Cover to Covers. Cassie's business is a romance shop that is all about embracing your confidence, body positivity, & sexuality. From Cover to Covers offers books, various products, and a community for folks to explore and learn about sexual wellness. I really appreciated learning about what Cassie does as a sexual health educator. Historically, talking about sexual wellness could be viewed as "taboo," but it is important to have these kind of conversations. Sexual wellness is normal and important, so I'm glad that I could be a part of this conversation and to hear about all the work that Cassie is doing. It's really cool to see the positive impact that Cassie is having on both our planet and the lives of individuals.
Also, for the first time I butchered a guests name in the intro... My apologies to Cassie for that! As you all know, the show is completely unedited so enjoy my mistake lol.
In this episode Cassie talks about the environment, having a business, sexual wellness, and much more!

Making ZAP! Podcast history, we have our first returning guest! When Brian first came on the podcast, he was going by the name That Boy Brian. It's been over two years since Brian was on the podcast and a lot has happened. Brian has rebranded a bit and now just goes by his given name, Brian DeMuro. While Brian has changed his online identity, he is the same positive, sports loving person that I featured years ago. Brian is now a college student studying broadcasting and mass communications, New York and New Jersey sports dan, and YouTube Video editor. Brian just completed his freshman year of college and it was a challenging experience. Brian spend his first year of college having his fair shares of highs and lows, but recently has been working on his mindset and has found himself enjoying college and life to a high degree. Not maybe people talk about how difficult it can be transitioning into college, so it was really insightful to hear Brian open up about his own experiences. While it was a tough time in Brian's life, he leaned into his positive mindset and faith to help him push through and find enjoyment through his college experiences. While in college, Brian is focusing on how he can find a career that involves his extreme passion for sports. While Brian has had some personal life changes since he was last on the podcast, his love for sports has not wavered. We also had a great conversation about the NBA Playoffs. Now that the Denver Nuggets have won the NBA Championship over the Miami Heat, we can look back and see how our predictions went. It's always fun to look back and see how we did. I think we both did well, but I think I might have done a little better than Brian - give the episode a listen to find out. I've always respected and admired Brian's passion for life and positive attitude and it's awesome to see how much he's grown since the last episode. Brian is going to do some big things in this world, and I cannot wait to see.
In this episode Brian talks about transitioning into college, mindset, sports, and much more!

Eric is a former professional wrestler, bakery owner, gym owner, and is now currently a father, husband, and personal coach. While Eric's past careers and business ventures are no longer a part of his life, he has absolutely zero regret and credits all of his past experiences with what has made him the person that he is today. Eric is a coach with a very specific mission: he helps career driven dads develop their mind and bodies so that they can become the best version of themselves. Eric noticed that many men would "give up," or become complacent as they aged or after becoming fathers. Eric wanted to show these individuals that that is not the case and that it is possible and sustainable to become healthier and the best dads that they could possibly be. Eric has always been someone who wants to be able to give 100% to everything and his passion for coaching and positively impacting lives is evident. Eric is also extremely passionate about mental health and has had his own journey with it. Eric is an advocate for mental health and uses his platform to share his experiences and encourage others to invest in their own mental health. It's awesome to see how many lives Eric has changed and I have no doubt that he will continue to do so.
In this episode Eric talks about coaching, mental health, taking chances, and much more!

“I NEED 10 SHOTS 10 SHOTS ERNIE MODE!” can be heard anytime the Detroit born and Fort Worth based rapper ItsErnie makes an appearance. Whether it’s in person, or on his rapidly growing tik-tok page, ITSERNIE has made a name for himself as not only a rapper with tight bars, but a dedicated student of the craft. His performances are trademarked by him guzzling not only liquor, but the worlds best hangover cure, pedialyte; onstage. In addition to his onstage antics, he also hosts a a daily tik-tok series called “crazy bars I’ve heard”, which in total has racked up almost 5 million views across the US. From the first time that I hear the MME rap, I knew that Ernie had a bright future ahead of him. It's been awesome to see the success that he has had, and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for him.

Dan is the only one running DC4L and takes extreme care and interest in each customer that he works with. Dan has a strong work ethic and works to grow and improve his business each and every day. Dan has come along way and has learned a lot since he first started his business. While DC4L can make custom items that are unrelated to sports, the sports community has really resonated with Dan's business. This works out well for Dan because of his vast love for sports. While Dan has his own personal favorite teams, he doesn't let his allegiances interfere with the custom requests he receives. Dan loves working with people and creating extremely unique and special design. I'd like to take a moment to personally thank Dan for his assistance with getting the ZAP! Podcast its own merch. This was a huge accomplishment for the podcast and I'm proud to say that there's a few ZAP! articles of clothing out there in the world. It's been great seeing what Dan has accomplished, and I'm excited to see what's in store for the future of DC4L.

Two years, 104 guests later and here we are. It’s crazy to think that I’ve been running this podcast for the last years of my life. Year two was a great one and it definitely built off of year one. This episode is a way to celebrate the two year anniversary, take a look at the past year, and let you all know what the plan for year three looks like. Over the last two years, I uploaded an episode every single Monday. While I’d love to keep this going, I’ve hit the point where getting a new guest each week is becoming a bit challenging. I’m still going to try my absolute best to upload every Monday, but, here’s me saying that it may not be every Monday. It’s a tough pill to swallow and it makes me feel a bit sad and like I’m letting people down, but I hope you’ll all understand and still check out all the episodes - whether it’s weekly, bi-weekly, etc. None of this would be possible without all the support from you all! From the bottom of my heart, thank you! Here’s to year three!

This episode makes history for the ZAP! Podcast as it is the first episode with more than one guest. Eruj and Furzaan are brothers and owners of Vengeful Detroit. The Abidi brothers and their partner started Vengeful in the fall of 2022. Vengeful is a Detroit-based clothing brand that focuses on pop culture and sports. The Abidi brothers wanted a brand that showcased high fashion with what was going on in the world, thus what started Vengeful. The name Vengeful Detroit comes from the owners Detroit roots. Vengeful relates to the grit, hard-working, and often overlooked reputation that the city of Detroit gets. The "Detroit" in Vengeful Detroit is a direct way to pay homage to the city. Vengeful Detroit is an exclusive brand that offers various limited collections. The brand's first collection centered about the Detroit Lions, and since then they have highlighted athletes from different cities such as Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns and Nicola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets. While the city of Detroit and Detroit sports will always be important to the brand, Vengeful is not afraid to incorporate other cities. At the end of the day, the brand's goal is to really capture what is currently going on in the sports and pop culture world. The Abidi brothers are extremely hard working and I love hearing how much fun they're having. The sky is the limit for the Abidi brothers and their brand, and I cannot wait to see everything that they accomplish.
In this episode the Abidi brothers talk about owning and starting a business, working with family, being unique, and much more!

Mason is a graduate of Northwood University where he completed his Bachelor's Degree and MBA, and now the Co-Founder of Motiv. Mason grew up with a passion for sports and the work ethic he developed led him towards a business oriented career path. Once Mason's athletic career came to an end, he took that same passion and found it within the business field. Studying business and getting his degrees seemed like the logical decision and there was no looking back. Fast forward to today and Mason's passion is his company Motiv. Motiv is a hiring platform that matches candidates with tailored job opportunities, simplifies the application process, and provides real-time updates on their application status. Motiv was born out of the frustrations that Mason faced when looking for a job after graduating. Because of these frustrating experiences, Mason and his business partner set out to find a solution - thus the birth of Motiv. While Motiv is still in it's early stages, Mason and the team at Motiv have been hard at work to create a great "love" experience for candidates and employers when it comes to finding and hiring for jobs. Whether it was this conversation or ones off the podcast, I can tell just how passionate Mason is about Motiv and all the work that they are doing. I'm really excited to see all that Motiv does for folks who are looking for the perfect job.

Savannah is a fellow graduate from Central Michigan University and currently works as a Senior Business Digital Analyst at Dow. Savannah has always had a passion for business and marketing so it always made sense for her to study business at CMU and then step into a career that utilized her skills. In addition to her professional passion, she has always been passionate about music, sports, and her faith. Throughout Savannah's life, she has been in a band, played competitive sports, and has been an active member of her local churches and young adult groups. As a side hobby for fun, Savannah has also started an Etsy store called The Common Catholic. While Savannah made her Etsy as a small side hobby, it definitely makes her a small business owner and entrepreneur. I've always known Savannah to be a confident, highly intelligent person who had life figured out. Speaking to Savannah, it seems like just like all of us, she's had her obstacles and challenges as well. I'm grateful for Savannah's willingness to be vulnerable and share some of her experiences as she transitioned out of college. This conversation is really important to me as I feel that we spoke about things that don't always get brought up. Life in yours 20s, while fun and excited, can always be tough, confusing, and an absolute whirlwind. I'm proud of all that Savannah has accomplished and I consider myself extremely lucky to be able to call her a friend. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for Savannah. Keith, or more commonly known as Deuce, is a musician, producer, and Detroit Pistons enthusiast. Music has always been in Keith's blood with his grandfather being Little Willie John, a R&B musician from the 1950s and 60s, and a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Additionally, Keith's uncle performed as Stevie Wonder's lead background vocalist for over 30 years. Music was always something that Keith grew up around so it was only logical that he would dabble in it himself and turn that into his career. While music has always been a passion of Keith's, so has the Detroit Pistons. Keith has watched the Pistons all of his life and has seen their Championship years and the tougher more recent rebuilding years. Keith decided to combine his passions and that's when Downtown Deuce was born. Now Keith is using his musical talents and making anthems about the Detroit Pistons not only for the team, but for the city of Detroit. Keith's current hit, Destination Restoration, is a song about how this young Pistons team is looking to bring excitement and a winning culture back to Detroit. Destination Restoration has been a massive hit for all Pistons' fans. Before every Pistons home game, Destination Restoration can be heard throughout Little Caesars Arena. Keith has been a major beacon of light for the city of Detroit and I cannot wait to see what else is in store for him.
In this episode Keith talks about the city of Detroit, music, mindset, the Detroit Pistons, and much more!

Hanna first saw Rob Lawless on the Kelly Clarkson show and was instantly inspired by his story and project Rob's 10k Friends. This inspired Hanna to start her own project called Encounters with Hanna. Through her project, Hanna is on a mission to meet 100 strangers and spend an hour of sharing stories, learning about each other's lives, and connecting with each other. If you've been following the podcast for a while, you may recall that Rob is a friend of mine. Through Rob, Hanna and I were able to connect where I was her 34th encounter. It was a really cool experience to be a part of Hanna's project. Whether it was with our encounter, or any of her encounters, after the conversation Hanna writes about the experience. Hanna has even gotten some of her writing published by a local website in Ethiopia. While Hanna had her encounters with both Rob and me virtually, Hanna primarily has her encounters at local cafes or parks in her home country of Ethiopia. Through our conversations it was insightful and a pleasure to learn a bit about Ethiopian culture and Hanna's background. Ultimately, Hanna wants to continue to step out of her comfort zone and connect with strangers. After Hanna has her 100th encounter, she's unsure on whether she'll continue with the project or pivot to something new. Either way, Hanna plans on writing a book about her encounters and what she learned from her project. It's really exciting to see how far along Hanna's project has come and I cannot wait to see where it continues to take her.

Shannon is an educator, collaborator, and activator. Since moving to Denver, Colorado Shannon has really made a home for herself there. Shannon has always been passionate about the communities that she's a part of and has tired to make a difference in any way that she's able to. Wanting to make a difference in her new home town led Shannon to think "why not me?" thus what sparked her idea to run for Denver City Council. Shannon is currently running her people-powered, data-driven, heart-centered campaign for Denver City Council in District 10. From chatting with Shannon, it's clear how passionate she is about the work she is doing and planning on continuing to do. Specifically, one of Shannon's major passions involving policy is affordable housing. While I am a bit bias and hope Shannon is elected, I know that she has already made such a positive impact within her community and I know that she will continue to, no matter what the results.

Michael is a retired business owner where he did private security and now is a Michigan based author where he writes his Michigan Thrillers. Michael has always had a passion for writing but coming out of college, he didn't see being a writer as a way that he could make a living. With this in mind, Michael decided to start his own business in private security. Even though Michael decided to hold off on his writing career, he always knew that he was going to be a fiction writer. Back in college, Michael actually told a professor that he would be a fiction author at age 60. Michael essentially predicted his future as he fulfilled this goal to be a fiction writer while in his 60s. Michael used his life and private security experience to center his writing around his main character named Jack Handler. Jack is a retired Chicago homicide detective and all of Michael's books follow Jack's adventures. While all of Michael's Jack Handler books are fiction, everything that happens in the books are plausible - this is something that Michael really wanted to focus on and takes pride in. Additionally, all of the Jack Handler books are self contained stories. Michael wanted to write his books in a way in which the reader could pick any of the books up and understand the story they are about to read. Michael always recommends starting with "Murder on Sugar Island," and then going from there. In addition to constantly writing, Michael travels to various shows and events throughout Michigan for book signings and meet and greets. I actually had the pleasure to meet Michael at a recent event and get a signed copy of one of his books. From talking to Michael, it is clear just how passionate he is about writing and sharing Jack Handler's adventures with his readers. I'm looking forward to the day that we can all see Jack Handler on a streaming service.
In this episode Michael talks about his Jack Handler thrillers, being an author, mindset, and much more!

Emily is a college educator, content creator, and college football fanatic. Emily has always been passionate about education, so much so that she earned her Ph.D. in Communications Studies and now is a college educator where she teaches various courses related to communications. Communication is a key skill that can impact an individual's life in a multitude of ways. Over the last few years with the pandemic, communication skills and practices have been impacted and even changed. Emily shares a bit about how communication has been impacted and how the way that she educates has changed a bit as well. In addition to what Emily is doing now, she chats about her personal academic journey and the challenges of burnout and imposter syndrome. While it makes perfect sense, this conversation with Emily reinforced the idea to me that content creation highly relies on communication. With this perfect pairing, it only seems natural that Emily also does content creation as a fun passion project. Emily also lives by the idea of cultivating kindness. While I think Emily is highly accomplished and a really cool person, what really resonates with me is her passion for positivity and cultivating kindness. I love the community that she has built through kindness and I love the way that Emily educates and lives her regular day to day life while cultivating kindness. I truly believe that the world can always use a little extra kindness, and I think Emily is doing a great job helping to pave that way forward.

Jack is a content creator that makes videos and writes about the Detroit Pistons for the Detroit Bad Boys of SB Nation. While working full-time in project management, roughly a year ago Jack decided to pursue his passion of covering his favorite basketball team. While I'm a Pistons fan because I live in Michigan, Jack is from Australia and decided to claim the Pistons as his team because of one single player - Andre Drummond. Jack always loved the NBA, and when Drummond was coming out of college and entering the NBA Draft, Jack decided that whatever team drafter Drummond would be his team. Within the course of the last year, Jack has gone from sharing his thoughts to the Detroit Bad Boys to being a writer for them to making money through his writing all while following his passions of basketball, the NBA, and the Detroit Pistons. While Jack seems like a seasoned veteran, putting himself out there with his content wasn't always easy for him. Jack shared parts of his personal journey and how mental health has impacted him and how he's overcome some obstacles. Jack also sheds some light on his mindset and how he consciously focuses on attracting his goals and what he wants to accomplish. Whether it's chopping it up about the Pistons or just life, I really value my conversations with Jack and I think he's a fantastic person. While Jack is still early on in his journey covering the Pistons/NBA, I have a good feeling that one day Jack Kelly is going to be a household name within the industry.
In this episode Jack talks about his content creation journey, mental health, the Law of Attraction, and much more!

Crystal is an educator who has a passion for her occupation as well as a strong passion for voice work. While being an educator was always in the cards for Crystal, she also found a passion for communication, broadcasting, and voice work. Crystal's parents were educators, so it was only natural that she would pursue the occupation as well. Crystal is a fellow Central Michigan Chippewa and this is where she received some of her first experience in voice work. Crystal has a very natural warm and engaging voice, so it only makes sense that she is known within the voice work community as "The Voice." While Crystal is immensely passionate about being an educator, she is looking to get back into her voice work and rekindle that passion that she has had for the majority of her life. It sounds like Crystal has a lot of great ideas and plans in the works, so I am very excited to see where her voice work takes her. In this episode Crystal talks about the future of education, being prayful and careful, voice work, and much more! Connect with Crystal! James is a consultant for the Colorado Workforce Development Council, and has recently become a bit of a viral sensation for simply doing what he could to make a difference in his Denver, Colorado community. For the last few years, James had made the decision to not drive a car as it would be better for the environment. This led James to seek out public transportation and utilizes the buses throughout his city. The more than James took the busses, he started to realize that many bus stops did not have proper seating for riders to use while waiting. One day James noticed a woman sitting in the dirt waiting for a bus, and that was the moment he knew that he wanted to do something. James made the conscious decision to make a bench for this specific bus stop. When it came to the bench, James also added the message "Be Kind" onto the bench. While I found the idea of James making a bench for this local bus stop wonderful, the inclusion of the "Be Kind" message is really what stood out to me. In my mind, James went above and beyond, not only helping his community but also encouraging others to look after one another. James has already made a significant impact within his community, but I truly think this is just the beginning for him. While I know that he's focused on his own community, I know that his story and actions will inspire others to do what they can to make their communities even better.
In this episode James talks about finding community, being kind, questioning things, and much more!

For a while now, Mike has had a passion for the career path of occupational therapy and is equally passionate about content creation. While the majority of Mike's focus is on his academics and just journey to becoming a occupational therapist, in his free time Mike makes content on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Mike has experimented with different types of content, but he primarily focuses on vlogs. However, the content in his vlogs vary and cover different topics. One of Mike's long term goals is to combine his passions and make sports related content from a occupational therapists point of view. Mike has recently started piloting out this new type of content by highlighting the injuries of NFL players and giving his perspective as an occupational therapy student. For people who aren't too familiar with injuries, this new content is an interesting and educational way for people to better understand what is going on with some of their favorite athletes. Mike talked a bit about being hungry and since I have met him I've seen an immense amount of hunger within him. I know that Mike has the drive, personality, and creativity to make his dream come true. Sending my best wishes to Mike as he finishes up his education and continued to grind on his content creation. This is just the start Mike from the Mitten.

Jason works in movies and the entertainment industry as a lighting operator and gaffer. While the entertainment industry has always interested Jason, he decided to focus on the production side of it rather than being on the big screens. After graduating from Michigan State University in 2018, Jason made the decision to move to Atlanta, Georgia. Atlanta has slowly become a buzzing location for movie and television production, so it only made sense for Jason to make the move. While moving to a completely new place on your own can be exciting, it has its challenges along the way. Jason has worked hard to find some success within the industry and I know that his dedication and work ethic will take him places. I've always considered Jason to be a really humble, dedicated, and great person. It's an honor to be able to call him and friend and I'm glad that conversations like this has given us the reminder to stay connected and to get back in touch. I can truly say that ever since meeting Jason back in high school, I've learned a lot from him and I'm definitely continuing to. Can't wait to see all that Jason accomplishes and to check out the new show that he worked on, "Finding Happy."

Joe is a health and fitness coach that helps individuals optimize every aspect of their overall health. Joe has been on quite the health journey himself. A lot of Joe's journey has had its ups and downs. While Joe spent a long time chasing after a dream physique, once he achieved it, he learned that there's a lot more to health than how you look. While Joe may have liked the way he looked, he didn't like the way that he felt. Through this process, Joe adopted the mentality that we should take the long road in life. As Joe says, sometimes taking the long road is actually taking the quickest path. While we usually want fast results, they usually are not sustainable and that is the idea behind Joe's motto. It was really nice to hear Joe share some of his personal story and how he has become the healthier and happier version of himself that he is today. Additionally, Joe is extremely passionate about sports. As a sports lover myself, it was great to hear how much passion he has for sports, specifically Boston sports.
In this episode Joe talks about taking the long road, optimizing our health, sports, and much more!

Shane is a content creator that focuses primarily on food reviews. Shane's food reviews usually involve "junk" food, but Shane is also a big believer in moderation and enjoying all different types of food. While there are definitely some foods with more health benefits than others, Shane believes that food is meant to be enjoyed and that balance is what's most important. In addition to food review content, Shane has been branching out and reviewing other products, like clothing. During this conversation, Shane took the time to open up and share a bit of her personal story and journey. While I'm honored to hear about her life, it's frustrating to hear about the negativity and hate that she has experienced. I like that Shane talks about how she has growth from the tough times and just how important it is to be kind and nice to others. I'm exciting to watch Shane continue to go down her personal life journey and continue to learn about the cool and unique foods that she tries and reviews!

Gabe is a content creator and video editor. Gabe originally started his content creation by making gaming videos on YouTube. After having his own channel, he eventually became a content creator for the popular Nintendo Switch YouTube channel, SwitchForce. After uploading on SwitchForce for a while, Gabe decided to take a bit of a backseat and now primarily focuses on editing for the channel. However, from time to time, you can still see Gabe in some SwitchForce videos. In addition to editing the SwitchForce videos, Gabe also does video editing for other channels and freelances. Gabe also occasionally posts his own content on his YouTube channel, HereBeGabe. Gabe is truly a really kind person and he does a great job creating an inclusive and welcoming environment. I love that Gabe is always encouraging people to be nice and to be kind to others. It's been really cool to see the things that Gabe has accomplished and I know that he will continue to do some awesome things and spread a lot of positivity.

The first ever Vault episode featuring the first ever ZAP! Podcast guest and the first ever person that I recorded with, Ryli! Ryli is a singer, songwriter, and podcaster. Ryli's on a mission to bring back love via sound waves, and I have no doubt that she will do just that. Way before the ZAP! Podcast even was a thing, Ryli was one of the first people that I told about this crazy idea to start a podcast. From the start, she believed in this idea and provided me with overwhelming support, encouragement, and advice. Ryli is a huge reason why this podcast even exists.

Wow. It's crazy to think that today marks the one year anniversary of the ZAP! Podcast. None of this would be possible without the incredible guests who have made this podcast what it is. Additionally, I wouldn't be at this milestone without all of the listeners. Thank you for tuning in. Whether it's during your commute, while on a walk, at the gym, etc. thank you for streaming our podcast and listening to the incredible stories and passions of some terrific people.
I said "our podcast" because I want this to be the podcast of the people. I want you all to feel like you are a part of this process and podcast, because without you, this wouldn't exist. So let me know what you want for our podcast moving forward. Do you want to be a guest? Do you have a suggestion for a guest or would you like a guest with a certain passion? Do you want to see video uploads on YouTube or would you prefer just audio? Do you want episodes with just me? Do you want episodes with multiple guests? Let me know what you all would like to see for year two of ZAP!
This episode is just me hitting record and talking to you all. Like any episode, nothing has been edited or scripted. Just wanted to share some thoughts, reflect on the past year, talk about the future, and answer some questions.
Thank you all for the love, support, encouragement, and being a listener. I wouldn't be here without you all! I'm forever grateful. Here's to another year of talking about passions.

Wyatt works professionally as a researcher, but also is a podcaster and a blogger. The podcast that Wyatt co-hosts is called Nobody Expects the Dismal Science where him and his co-host discuss things such as economics, politics, sports, and how to improve outcomes. Wyatt's blog, LaoWyatt (linked below) is a platform where Wyatt shares experiences, lessons learned, and tries to provide information that the reader can take away and better themselves with. Wyatt has been someone who has always wanted to help others as much as he could. Throughout the time that I've known Wyatt, there's been plenty of times where I've witnessed him helping others first hand. Additionally, Wyatt has always been extremely passionate about sports. While taking his love for sports and utilizing his knowledge and understanding of economic principles, patterns, and models he stumbled into sports gambling. While maybe people are gambling on sports these days for fun, or in hopes of winning big, Wyatt was able to turn his gambling into saving lives and positively impacting many others. While we touch on this a bit in the podcast, I highly encourage you to go to LaoWyatt and read the blog post for the full-story. It has been really cool to see the various different ways that Wyatt has been able to help those in need. I know that he will continue to do so, and I hope that his experiences and message inspires you just like how he has inspired me.
Also, shout out to Wyatt for keeping me sane during my time as an economics major lol.

Mike is the creator and host of his podcast Tea with Mike. What started as a school project, Mike took his podcast and made it into a massive passion project that he pours his heart and soul into. While also being a big tea drinker, the name "Tea with Mike" is extremely fitting. Originally Mike wanted to be a performer but after a while, decided to pursue things a little more "behind the scenes." One of the the highlights of Mike's podcasting journey has been that he has had an episode featuring entrepreneur Gary Vee. To get a huge name like Gary Vee onto the Tea with Mike Podcast came from a lot of dedication and hard work. Mike shares how he was able to meet Gary and what that experience was like. It has been absolutely fantastic getting to know Mike and to learn about his podcasting process. Not only have I gained a friend, but I have also learned some insight into the podcasting space. While landing Gary Vee is a huge milestone, I have no doubt that Mike will continue to elevate his podcast and that we will be hearing a lot of great future accomplishments from him.

Alan is a teacher, athlete, and coach. Whether it is through teaching his students or his clients, Alan has a true passion for connecting with others and helping them learn. While Alan does a great job helping his students and clients learn the specific subject matter, he also finds ways to incorporate other life lessons. Things like better understating our emotions, self-care, and just simply becoming more in tune with who we are. Going into this conversation, I had a good idea that we would be talking about fitness. While we definitely did, it was great to hear a lot about Alan's mindset. While our physical health is important, our mental health is just as, if not more, important. It's really awesome to hear that this is something that Alan helps teach both his clients and students. I have no doubt that Alan is going to continue to positively impact many people. Hello everybody and welcome to another episode of Good Chaos (Insert catchy jingle)! My name is Ryli and I am the host and creator of the show.
I hope the start of this description makes you think of one of those Disney Channel tv crossovers from the early 2000s, shout out to all the 90s kids who know what I'm talking about.
In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we have a very special and unique episode. As you know, I (Zach) am the creator and host of this podcast. However, this episode is hosted by my extremely kind and talented friend, Ryli. Less than 48 hours ago I reached out to her to get her input on an idea. She took that idea and turned it into what you are about to hear today.
Valentine's Day is usually associated with love. While having love for others is important, it's extremely important to have self-love. This episode has a few special guests share their thoughts on self-love, and then it has our honorary ZAP! host, Ryli, take over to make me my own guest. The idea that Ryli pitched to me was to have me share more about myself and my experiences and thoughts on self-love. Exactly like how I do things, Ryli was on brand and directed our unscripted and completely off the cusp and spur of the moment conversation. As much as I love going unscripted, there's a moment where I completely misunderstand the question and ramble so that was fun haha.
My podcast means a lot to me and giving control and the host seat to someone else is something I never considered and can be a little intimidating. But, there's truly no one else that I could think of that would be a better host. Huge shout out and thank you to Ryli for the idea and being a great host.
Special thanks to our special guests!

Jordan is an operations manager by trade, and while he enjoys his job he spends a lot of time focusing on his passions. Some of Jordan's passions include sports and gaming. Both of these passions are things that Jordan had an interest in as a kid, and now is coming back to them later on in his life. One way that Jordan shares his passions with others is through his own podcast called Royal City Gaming. Going into this conversation, I was anticipating a fun conversation about video games and sports, but Jordan opened up a lot about life and his journey through it. While having this conversation, I found a lot of comfort and wisdom in hearing the words and messages that Jordan shared with me. I'm extremely grateful for the life lessons I've learned through this conversation. As Jordan is continuing to grow his podcast and social media presence, I'm excited to see how he continues to entertain and connect with others.
In this episode Jordan talks about finding your passions, stepping out of your comfort zone, gaming, being patient, and much more!

Kyle is a student at the University of Michigan and a part of the Ross School of Business, and also a sponsored athlete and content creator/social media influencer. At only 18 years old, Kyle has worked tirelessly to get to where he's at. Kyle started his fitness journey and has been hitting countless goals while completely transforming his physique and even competing. Along the way, Kyle has been able to document his fitness lifestyle and transformation on Instagram and YouTube allowing for him to start into content creation. From all of his hard work, Kyle was able to become a sponsored athlete for both Young LA and Gorilla Mind, where he represents their clothing and supplements respectively. It amazes me how much Kyle has accomplished in such a short amount of time and at such a young age. I know that he has a very bright future ahead of him and I cannot wait to see what he does next.
In this episode Kyle talks about his journey and story of getting into fitness, being hungry and driven, his thoughts of being an influencer and a student, and much more!

Natalia is a Lead Designer with Ford and also a contestant on season 33 of the reality TV show, The Amazing Race. Currently airing, Natalia is running the race with her dad, but that wasn't quite how things were originally suppose to be. While season 33 of The Amazing Race is currently airing, this season saw some unexpected delays due to the ongoing pandemic. During times like these, having an escape can be nice, so I'm very glad to see that the season was able to finish. Natalia has always had a passion for traveling, so it only made sense that she should try her hand at racing around the world, completing tasks but also taking in all of the beautiful places the world has to offer. While being on reality tv can be a incredible and life changing opportunity, Natalia is still the same person she has always been. If you're a fan of The Amazing Race like me, it's really cool to hear some of the behind the scenes experiences that Natalia had.
In this episode Natalia talks about her experience with The Amazing Race, the power of mindset and good energy, and much more!
Season 33 of The Amazing Race is currently on every Wednesday at 8pm ET on CBS.

Dylan is a health coach that is currently working with the Omnevo Wellness Academy and USA Hockey. As a teen, Dylan decided to really invest in his own health and learn all of the ways that he could optimize it. This is when the passion started and the rest is history. After diving into the basics of health and seeing improvements in his own, this fueled Dylan to continue to strive to learn as much health knowledge as possible so he could not only live his best life, but help others achieve a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. While Dylan definitely helps people with their physical health, like many trainers do, Dylan prides himself on looking at all the various dimensions that make up one's health. I love that Dylan is just as passionate about things like sleep, diet, stress levels, etc. I think that having this wholistic approach to health can really benefit us greatly with our overall individual wellness. It's been an honor to call Dylan a friend all of this years and I'm always blown away with how passionate and knowledgeable he is. I'm usually not a betting person, but if I had to bet on someone, I would feel confident in saying that Dylan is going to continue to learn as much as he can, while helping a ton of people along the way.
In this episode Dylan talks about what it means to be a coach, his personal health journey, one of the most overlooked elements of health, and much more!

Vinnie is a former Division I swimmer at Valparaiso University, and currently an entrepreneur. Vinnie serves as a health coach, but also coaches individuals with their business. Vinnie is all about positive energy and going with the flow. Through her coaching, Vinnie helps empower individuals to step into their own person and do what is best for them - whether it's with their health or business. A lot of what we discuss relates to mindset and spirituality. Although it may seem "out there" to those who may have not dabbled in it, we both encourage you to try it out. Whether it's looking into the Law of Attraction, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra, or any of Eckhart Tolle's work, it can truly be a liberating feeling to dive into these topics. I truly believe that our good energy brought us together for this episode. I know that no matter where Vinnie's path takes her, she will continue to put out good energy and make this world a more positive place each day.
In this episode Vinnie talks about going with the flow, the power of sitting in silence, the law of attraction, and much more!
Unfortunately, it seems like with this recording the audio cut in and out at times. The conversation is really impactful so I still want to share this. However, I do apologize for the occasional spotty audio. Guess it just means that we have to have Vinnie come back (:

Here is a bonus episode that is much different that my usual episodes. As many of you probably know, I'm currently a graduate student. In one of my classes for this semester, I was assigned to creatively explain some key take-aways that I learned from taking this course. As you can see from the title of this episode, the course is called Evaluation, Coaching, and Mentoring. This course relates to my degree and contains a lot of content that I'm passionate about in a professional setting. So given the chance to be creative, I figured why not make a podcast episode?
I know that this is much different than usual and that it is for an assignment, but I wanted to post it regardless. At the end of the day, it still is about passions and I hope that it provides you with some value or even just a little glimpse into my life or the things that I've been up to.
Okay, thanks for hearing me out and listening. Back to our regularly scheduled content.
Shout out to Dr. Johnson for being an awesome and extremely knowledgeable professor!

However, AJ decided to do both and it ended up being one of the best decisions he could have made. In this episode AJ shares his journey into YouTube, how he was able to achieve pretty rapid success, various video game franchises, being a passionate person, and much more! PJ is a former Division I baseball player at Michigan State University and is now the CEO and Co-Founder of the DONUT. DONUT is an acronym that stands for "Dose Of News Useful Today", and the DONUT is a daily newsletter that provides world news that is fact based and has an emphasis on positivity. In a world where a lot of news seems to be heavily leaning one side or the other, it's nice to be able to digest daily news that has equal representation, is always impartial, and really allows the reader to create their own thoughts or opinions. The way that PJ talks about news and what the DONUT does, you can truly tell how passionate he is. Hearing him share his stories also impacted me in ways I couldn't imagine. I hadn't heard either of the stories PJ shared until this recording - you just never know about what people experience and how impactful it can be on the way that we look at things. Wishing PJ and the DONUT nothing but continued success. I can honestly say that by being subscribed to the DONUT, my morning ritual has gotten even better and has given me a greater knowledge, understanding, and appreciation for everything going on in the world.
In this episode PJ talks about his love for news, why he started the DONUT, the importance of news literacy, the value of having conversations with others, and much more!

Taylor played Division I volleyball at the University of Oregon and currently plays volleyball professionally. However, Taylor is so much more than just an athlete. While the sport is her greatest passion, it’s not who she is. From the way that she talks about it, you can tell how much Taylor loves volleyball, but it's really cool to see her exploring her other passions like music. The past year has been a challenging one for Taylor, but she still tackles each day with a smile and a great attitude. It was really heartwarming to hear Taylor talk about the things and people that she loves. Whether it’s on or off the court, I know that Taylor will continue to do great things and I cannot wait to watch her journey. Whoever's reading this, be sure to send Taylor some positive vibes as she continues to recovery from her injury!

Rob is a graduate from Penn State, and has spent the last five years working on his project called Robs10kFriends. The goal of his project is to meet 10,000 people one on one for one hour each. Initially, Rob was meeting with people around the Philadelphia area in person. However, once the pandemic set in, Rob turned to virtual hangouts which led to him being able to meet people from all over the world. Whenever Rob meets someone, he’s never interviewing them, rather, he’s just getting to know them on a personal level. Very similarly to this podcast, Rob goes into each meeting without anything scripted and the conversation is completely organic. Honestly, during about half of the conversation, I felt like I was in the other seat for my own podcast. In order to keep things aligned with both of our missions, we just had a organic, unscripted, and unedited conversation where we got to know each other.
So with this episode, you’ll most likely be learning quite a bit more about me. You’ll also learn a bit about Rob. And through the whole conversation, you’ll learn about how we’re pretty similar people, with very similar goals and missions. Also, if you have ever been curious about how a one on one meeting for Robs10kFriends go, this is a great "behind the scenes" look at what actually happens during the meeting!
In this episode you get to hear two strangers from a connection right in the moment, while talking about sports, music, our background, and much more!
Go give Rob some love!

Lauren is a graduate from the University of Michigan, former in-arena host for some of the professional Detroit sports teams, and currently a host and reporter for AltitudeTV out in Denver, Colorado covering the Avalanche and Rapids. But more importantly, Lauren is a daughter, sister, friend, (an athlete), and mentor. From a young age Lauren fell in love with sports and the way that it brought her family together. Now, Lauren is able to channel that love and tell stories through the sports she covers. Sports are incredible and so are the athletes that play them; so it’s really cool to see that Lauren is so passionate about sharing the stories that these athletes have. It really humanizes these public figures and shows that at the end of the day, even professional athletes are people, too. Being able to see them as humans and hear their personal journeys can be really impactful. Lauren is someone who brings so much passion and energy to everything that she does. Whether its through her career, music, or simply just being a friend, I know that Lauren will continue to use her platform for good and make a huge difference in this world.
Wishing Lauren absolutely nothing but the best, but we miss you in Michigan! In this episode, Lauren talks about the three pieces of advice she would give to anyone, the importance of mentorship, following your passions, grounding yourself, and so much more!

Alright, what's up everyone! It's Zach and welcome to the first ever episode of the ZAP! Podcast. ZAP! is an acronym that stands for "Zach Attack your Passion!" I've always found podcasts really cool, so I thought "why not start my own?"
The theme of my podcast is all about passions. Even me starting this podcasting journey is an example of me following a passion. I've always loved talking to and connecting with people, and that's what became the vision of this podcast.
Each episode is with a guest, where I have an completely organic, unscripted, and unedited conversation with them about their passions, what they do, who they are, mindset, life - or really just anything that comes up. I like to tell my guests to think of it as just two friends going out for coffee. I like to give each guest a completely blank canvas, and really allow them to do with it whatever feels right.
In this introduction episode, I'm solo just giving a little rundown about who I am and what to expect from this podcast moving forward. I'll be honest, this was by far the most boring episode I've recorded, but I figured it was necessary to give a little brief intro. before officially jumping into all the fun stuff.
To all the guest that I've chatted with and will chat with, THANK YOU! I'm so grateful to have some wonderful people in my life who so generously take time out of their lives to talk. It's really cool everyone doing so many awesome things and really tapping into their passions.
To anyone listening, THANK YOU! Whether one person listens or one million people listen, that's okay. I just want at least one person to feel inspired, empowered, motivated, or even just to have a good laugh from this podcast. Whether you listen once, just to a specific episode, or to every episode, it means a lot to me that you have taken some time out of your day to give this a listen.
Okay, my inner writer is coming out and I think I should just end things here.
Thank you to every guest, every listener, every supporter, and just every person who has been a part of my journey.
I hope you enjoy these conversations. If anything from an episode really resonates with you, you just want to say hey, or even want to be a future guest, feel free to reach out any time!
Good energy, good vibes, talk soon.
