In August, I (Jesi) had the most amazing opportunity to kayak the Rogue River in Oregon with a program called First Decents. What does that mean to you? Probably nothing, until you hear this podcast. First Decent is a non-profit helping young adults who have been affected by cancer or MS. Here is what they are about straight from their website:
First Descents is a recognized leader in outdoor experiential programming. Through outdoor adventures, skills development, and local adventure communities FD improves the long-term survivorship of young adults impacted by cancer and other serious health conditions.
Our participants experience free outdoor adventure programs that empower them to climb, paddle, and surf beyond their diagnosis, reclaim their lives, and connect with others doing the same.
Are you interested in applying for the program for yourself, want to donate to the amazing cause, or want more information? Here is the website, check it out.
