Welcome to Episode 6 of Season 3 of Idiot Sticks. Brendan forgets Evie's flowers for her pageant. Confusion ensues. Brendan breaks out the victory yell for the first time on the podcast and scares unknowing patrons at the pageant.

The fellas, actually just Brad, begin the episode explaining how accents are fake. According to Brad, recording artists that are from the UK or Australia or any other country that speaks "English" have fake accents because when they sing, it sounds like American English. Thus their normal speaking accents are fake. Decide for yourself. The argument is valid...well, not really.
Brad mentions his fear of clowns, and why this would prevent him from being a successful bull rider. He also states he can no longer drink Sprite because it now comes in a clear bottle rather than the traditional green one. According to Brad, if the bottle is not green, it does not taste like the lime flavor it is advertised to taste like.
The boys wrap up by discussing Brendan's family Christmas photo, and when we say family, we mean dogs included. And Brendan explains that the humans and the dogs are all wearing matching outfits, and what a great family experience this was. Brad is having none of it.

The fellas are at it again. On this episode of Idiot Sticks, neither Brad nor Brendan can be trusted with, well anything really, but, in this case, a blanket that belongs to grandma. Heirloom blankets are the least of Brendan and Brad's concerns. By the way, these idiots were tasked with moving furniture. It went just as flawlessly as you might expect. Years of bad luck to come.
Neither Brendan nor Brad care for tomfoolery, yet Brad committed this mortal sin during Brendan's rehearsal for one of the greatest events of his life. Brad recruits back up for his side, but even with Tray Ivey's corroboration, it was ultimately determined to be grabassery. The entire group of groomsmen kept calling Brendan "Jerry". And Brendan may have eventually let some expletives fly during the rehearsal. Nonetheless, the groomsmen continued to participate in nonsense the remainder of the night.

Idiot Sticks, Brad and Brendan, back for Episode 3 of Season 3. To start, Brendan gives an update on the furniture situation. Next, Brendan mentions how his kids nearly burned the house down, but fortunately he and Jennifer walked in just in time to put out the microwave fire that the kids didn't even notice.
Brendan tries to reach out to help Brad and Amanda have a romantic night, stating he and Jennifer will watch all of our 8 or 9 kids, but they both declined. Ultimately, Brad pays the price by riding with Ellie as she drove to pick up pizza. And, shockingly, the service at random pizza joint was awful. There's more discussions of teenage driving, and neither Brad nor Brendan are confident we can let our daughters drive. And our parents were happy to be done with us essentially when we turned 16.
Brad begins the podcast discussing spam calls, and he plays a couple of the calls he's recently encountered. After that, the guys discuss the process Brendan has gone through to get a new bedroom suit for his oldest daughter, Ellie. And the saga is still ongoing. Brendan completes the episode by naming the furniture store multiple times, Ashley Furniture.

Brendan discusses a leaky tub above his kitchen sink, and he finds that the plumber and the tub repairman are at odds on who needs to fix the problem. And, of course, Brad has multiple problems with his septic system right after the birth of his new baby and right before Thanksgiving, ruining multiple family's Thanksgiving.

The fellas welcome Jeremy Sasser back for another episode. They begin by revealing that Mr. Sasser was featured in the teacher spotlight at the middle school where Jeremy molds the minds of 8th graders. Although married with 3 kids, Jeremy highlights his dog Arya in his interview, mentioning the boxer dog no less than 4 times. Jeremy then explains that Arya has been through rigorous allergy testing, and it is discovered that she can only eat...ham sandwiches, which she gets 3 of twice a day. The fellas have many questions about this, and it is unclear if they ever got any real answers.
Later, the guys discuss Jeremy's band, Pumpkin Patch and the Hay Riders. Jeremy went to a pumpkin patch with his family for their album cover shoot. And Jeremy shares his love of a song no one has ever heard of, Feed Jake. Guess what, it's a song about making sure the dog gets fed above all else.

On this special fall episode, the guys start by giving out some birthday shout-outs. Afterwards, Brendan discusses working a concession stand at Bryant-Denny stadium for a fundraiser for Ellie's soccer team. Brendan's first mistake was being positive about a great parking space he found first thing that morning. Just downhill from there. The concession stand did not feature many items, there was cold nacho cheese and pretzels, and the health department showed up. On this episode of Idiot Sticks, the fellas discuss some aquatic adventures they went on during honeymoons and family vacations. Brad tries to snorkel with broken equipment. Brendan gets certified to scuba dive in a 3ft pool for 7 minutes, and then realizes that was not a proper certification. Brendan goes swimming with manatees, having to kayak to the manatee hole, all while looking like a manatee himself in a wet suit.

This is part 2 of our golf trip to Detroit. Brad has to buy new golf shoes because his got soaked...somehow. Once again, Brad is awesome at golf and Brendan sucks. We decided to try another casino on Saturday night. We were nearly t-boned on the way there when our Uber driver ran a stop sign.
While at the casino, two fellas had an argument that turned into a full-blown fisticuffs. They knocked over a lady on a stool and rolled through the casino before ultimately shaking hands and disappearing into the crowd...meanwhile, not one member of security ever showed their face.

The guys take the first big trip with the new boat. They discuss getting it to the lake with Jax, the little navigator. Brad forgets an important key to the boat...the key. Brad and Brendan discuss how cold the weather and the water is during this awesome lake and boat vacation. The kids were so desperate to get in the water, they risked their lives for a quick swim. And as Brendan tried to rescue them, he threw the entire safety rope into the lake. Graycie's boyfriend learned that Brad is a big baby when it comes to rodents, er cockroaches, but he still came and joined us at the lake anyway. The last day of the trip, Brad and family left and Brendan and family decided to take the boat out for one last tubing trip. In the midst of fun, we had to perform a water rescue mission.

Brendan begins the episode discussing having six 9-year old girls glamping in his backyard for Evie's birthday party. Not once, but twice, the kitchen almost caught fire. The heaters for the freezing cold tent caused all the power in the house to go out...multiple times. Brad later talks about how his house becomes a money pit when people visit, or someone breaks their shoulder. Sewage backed up into his house, things leaked, and heaters went out during the coldest time of the year. Good times for the Sansom fellas.

Brendan was the Al Bundy of the family at age 15 when his mom made him get job during Spring Break at Shoe City. Brad was a legendary YMCA camp counselor. We have had some interesting job experiences, to say the least.
You've heard us discuss our boat rental experiences. Now we talk about boat ownership. Brendan just bought a new pontoon boat, and it went just like you would expect for a Sansom. There were issues with the trailer, the trailer lights, the towing vehicle, and more. Brad then talks about when he owned a boat, and broke every vessel captain rule almost killing his friend and nearly throwing his mother through the windshield of the boat...only to end up stranded on a sandbar.

The fellas begin the discussion about Brendan's recent tooth issue. Brendan is shy in expressing how awesome his teeth are, but now a minor tragedy has befallen his beautiful chompers. Listen as Brendan discusses going to a dental school and getting radiographs, a root canal (under a microscope), and ultimately the tooth had to be removed. Brad explains how his misfortune actually helped him for once. His cap fell off on the same night we first opened the podcast equipment. Ultimately, the new dentist he found saved him from a root canal.
Evie Sansom turns 9 years old today, but her alter ego, Granny, is 121 years old. Granny and Brendan welcome Granny's two bingo buddies, Aunt May and Uncle Jack. It is clear from the beginning that Uncle Jack has no idea where he is. The old folks discuss how they met, where they live, their kids (adopted or otherwise). Brendan inquires about many things with these bingo partners, and it remains unclear if any of them understand reality.

We performed a social experiment to determine the probability of someone turning down a high-five. We discuss several events of the weekend, including one night Brendan sat at a bar petting a dog and lighting matchbooks until the bartender made him stop doing both. Then Amanda's friend, Charlotte joins the podcast. Charlotte is the premier human that knows the capital of every country on earth. We continue to discuss events that only a couple of us remember. Brad, Jeremy, and Amanda discuss when Brad unsuccessfully opened a bottle on a dresser. And Brad had to go to the emergency room...all before their trip to Philadelphia started. Brad and Brendan discuss the time they decided to tent camp at Gulf Shores State Park. Brendan had a massive tent, and he even let Brad have his own room. The guys talk about how comfortable tent camping is...especially if one of you has a fold out cot, an inflatable queen size mattress, and comfy linens...oh and a space heater. The elderly neighbors at the campgrounds apparently do not appreciate being awakened by the sound of two idiots chopping wood at 6:30 in the morning. The fellas venture to the Florabama multiple times, watch a great football game, and actually have a good time with a crowd that is primarily rooting for LSU. They play horseshoes. Keys are lost...well, only because it was dark and that makes it hard to see things. The guys also briefly preview another Gulf Shores trip for Brad's friend Dave's bachelor party. Brad and Brendan welcome a new guest, Brad's friend Joe Adams. Brad and Joe discuss a trip or two to Atlanta for a couple of football games. It's never quite clear what year any of these events happened. Brad gets removed from a bar in Atlanta as his best friend Wayne Mills is not in the mood to have Brad come on stage with him on one particular night. Later, Brad and Joe explain how they got the perfect picture on the log flume at Six Flags after only 57 trips down the big slide. Towards the end of the episode, the guys discuss being big and trying to ride roller coasters and the ensuing walk of shame.
Brad begins the episode with his beef regarding baseball umpires and their animated strike 3 calls. This leads to Brad and Brendan having an animated discussion about instant replay in sports and officiating overall. The guys are clear that if society deems officials necessary, then we should leave all calls on the field of play to those highly paid officials.
This is one of the most passionate discussions Brendan and Brad have had, and they both think everyone should agree with them.
Brad and Brendan discuss home warranties and how "easy" they are to use. Brendan discusses moving into a new home and how instantly everything tears up. They are not quite 24 hours into the home and the heat does not work, in February. Something else that is important in Feb is hot water, which isnt working. Did we mention the dryer, fridge, garbage disposal..... It may be easier to tell you all what is working.... Also, Brad and Amanda discuss their house issues. Is it falling down, turns out the professionals that tell you whether its falling apart or not, did not even check which way the floor joist were running. We tore 4 holes in our ceiling so they could jack the floor up, only to find out that was not the problem. so we are stuck with 4 large holes in the ceiling. Amanda gets a call from the delivery agent requesting help pulling his truck out of the ditch... The water pipes at our barn explode and Brad looks in the wrong place for the cut off valve. Brad pays for Waste Management (possibly the biggest company in the industry) to deliver a dumpster to his home. Another terrible Sansom idea.
On episode 12, Brad and Brendan discuss their annual golf trip. This time they venture to Denver. They see some interesting things at the airport in Birmingham that make them question why some people even leave the house. Can you leave your pacemaker at a bar?? Is it appropriate to walk into a bar at the airport, order a beer, walk around the airport area, then sit in a wheelchair when its time to board the plane? Ironically Brendan's golf buddy Ray ends up in Colorado around the same time and meets us to play golf. After the idiot sticks round of golf one day, they ran up on a wedding party at the end of the 18th hole and they drove right through the rehearsal of a couples wedding. Brad Discusses his near hole in one that ended up not meaning squat. Brendan doesn't have great luck staying inside golf carts. Brendan returns from an amazing golf trip only to have to stay away from home and apparently stay below a bowling alley...
In Episode 11, we explain the role of bounty hunters in society. We've previously discussed county coroners, and now we try to figure out the legality of bounty hunters, their profession, and the current bounty hunting situation involving the most current bounty hunter...Dog.
Next, we continue to explore the curse of being a Sansom. We discuss the irony of a wing joint having zero wings. Next, Brad explains how his rehab post knee surgery happens much sooner than expected. Then Brad amazingly finds his lost rehab shoes on the side of the road.
We welcome fan favorite Jeremy back to he podcast. On this episode, Brendan, Brad, and Jeremy discuss the time Brad got his truck stolen, and he made it super easy for the thieves. All they did was steal the truck, commit some robberies, and return the vehicle to almost the exact same spot...with nothing missing. Next, we discuss another robbery that occurred on Brad and Amanda's combined bachelor/bachelorette weekend.
We also discuss Brad leaving prominent events like concerts and football games early and how that usually ends up positive...except the one time we stayed until the end.

Later Jeremy explains his rigorous training regimen for who knows what...which also led to him being attacked by a dog, leading to him needing a tetanus shot?? Brad tells a story about Brendan controlling the microphone during a night of football, guitars, and singing. And Brad explains how a Dave Matthews concert made him so tired, he laid down amongst 70,000 patrons for a power nap. The fellas detail a few more hilarious incidents, including Jeremy losing his cell phone at said DMB concert, only to call it the next day and have a cleaning lady answer and offer to mail it to him.
On Episode 8 of Idiot Sticks, Graycie and Ellie Sansom, our eldest children sit in and discuss some recent vacations. The girls talk about their addiction to their phones. Brad and Graycie discuss their train ride to Washington, DC, an F bomb that was dropped in front of them by a grown woman, and Brad attempting to pinch Graycie for a laugh, but it was actually an elderly woman. Brendan and Ellie talk about their trip to Williamsburg, VA, Brendan cracked his phone screen at a water park, and all of us discuss some adventures on water slides.
