I've always been interested in historical intrigue since I read the book 'Holy Blood and Hold Grail' and although this has since proven to be a hoax it still captured the imaginations of millions including one Dan Brown. Plz Check Him Out!🙏🏼👑✌🏼The Nag Hammadi library (also known as the "Chenoboskion Manuscripts" & the "Gnostic Gospels") is a collection of early Christian & Gnostic texts discovered near the Upper Egyptian town of Nag Hammadi in 1945. Thirteen leather-bound papyrus codices buried in a sealed jar were found by a local farmer named Muhammed al-Samman. The writings in these codices comprise 52 mostly Gnostic treatises, but they also include three works belonging to the Corpus Hermeticum & a partial translation/alteration of Plato's Republic. In his introduction to The Nag Hammadi Library in English, James Robinson suggests that these codices may have belonged to a nearby Pachomian monastery & were buried after Saint Athanasius condemned the use of non-canonical books in his Festal Letter of 367 A.D. The discovery of these texts significantly influenced modern scholarship's pursuit & knowledge of early Christianity & Gnosticism... The contents of the codices were written in the Coptic language. The best-known of these works is probably the Gospel of Thomas, of which the Nag Hammadi codices contain the only complete text. After the discovery, scholars recognized that fragments of these sayings attributed to Jesus appeared in manuscripts discovered at Oxyrhynchus in 1898, & matching quotations were recognized in other early Christian sources. The written text of the Gospel of Thomas is dated to the second century by most interpreters, but based on much earlier sources. The buried manuscripts date from the 3rd & 4th centuries. The Nag Hammadi codices are currently housed in the Coptic Museum in Cairo, Egypt.. Although the manuscripts discovered at Nag Hammadi are generally dated to the 4th century, there is some debate regarding the original composition of the texts. The Gospel of Thomas is held by most to be the earliest of the "gnostic" gospels composed. Scholars generally date the text to the early-mid 2nd century. The Gospel of Thomas, it is often claimed, has some gnostic elements but lacks the full gnostic cosmology. However, even the description of these elements as "gnostic" is based mainly upon the presupposition that the text as a whole is a "Gnostic" Gospel, & this idea itself is based upon little other than the fact that it was found along with gnostic texts at Nag Hammadi. Some scholars including Nicholas Perrin argue that Thomas is dependent on the Diatessaron, which was composed shortly after 172 by Tatian in Syria. Others contend for an earlier date, with a minority claiming a date of perhaps 50 AD, citing a relationship to the hypothetical Q document among other reasons. The Gospel of Truth & the teachings of the Pistis Sophia can be approximately dated to the early 2nd century as they were part of the original Valentinian school, though the gospel itself is 3rd century. Documents with a Sethian influence - like the Gospel of Judas, or outright Sethian like Coptic Gospel of the Egyptians. They can be dated substantially later than 40 & substantially earlier than 250; most scholars giving them a 2nd-century date. More conservative scholars using the traditional dating method would argue in these cases for the early 3rd century. But this is more debated, looking earlier as previous thought. Some Gnostic gospels for example Trimorphic Protennoia make use of fully developed Neoplatonism & thus need to be dated after Plotinus in the 3rd century... Scholars first became aware of the Nag Hammadi library in 1946. Making careful inquiries from 1947–1950, Jean Doresse discovered that a peasant dug up the texts from a graveyard in the desert, located near tombs from the Sixth Dynasty of Egypt. In the 1970s, James Robinson sought out the peasant in question, identifying him as Muhammad ‘Ali al-Samman. Al-Samman told Robinson a complex story involving a blood feud, cannibalism, digging for fresh soil for agricultural use, and superstitions about a jinn. His mother claimed that she burned some of the manuscripts; Robinson identified these with Codex XII. Robinson gave multiple accounts of this interview, with the number of people present at the discovery ranging from two to eight. Jean Doresse's account contains none of these elements. Later scholarship has drawn attention to al-Samman's mention of a corpse & a "bed of charcoal" at the site, aspects of the story that were vehemently denied by al-Samman's brother. Burials of books were common in Egypt in the early centuries AD, but if the library was a funerary deposit it conflicts with Robinson's belief that the manuscripts were purposely hidden out of fear of persecution. The blood feud, however, is well attested by multiple sources. Slowly, most of the tracts came into the hands of Phokion J. Tanos, a Cypriot antiques dealer in Cairo, thereafter being retained by the Department of Antiquities, for fear that they would be sold out of the country. They are back in there Country of Origin.

One topic addressed on our podcast is Allegro’s obsession with sexualizing the Bible, another one is his portrayal of the “Yachad” or the community of Qumran, as Gnostics Christians not apocalyptic Jews as they were. On one side of the debate David discussed the lack of evidence regarding biblical figures creating potions or amulets. In support of the book claims Ryan discussed the parallels between ancient religions and the use of plants and fungi by indigenous groups. According to the majority of scholars the writers of the Dead Sea Scrolls were extremely religious individuals who were more extrict than the Pharisees. Their community was interested in internalizing rules and regulations of the Torah which forbid the practice of the magical arts (Exodus 22.17). Another aspect of the conversation is the idea that anyone can be a mystic or a prophet, which is unique to Christianity. An article in “Christianity Today” about Mormonism discusses how that religion is becoming very popular in Africa because in that culture it is common for people to proclaim themselves as prophets without any mitigation of religious institutions to sanction their religious experiences.

The Fourth Phase of Water_ Dr. Gerald Pollack at TEDxGuelphU...., Does water have a fourth phase, beyond solid, liquid and vapor? University of Washington Bioengineering Professor Gerald Pollack answers this question, and intrigues us to consider the implications of this finding. Not all water is H2O, a radical departure from what you may have learned from textbooks. Pollack received his PhD in biomedical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. He then joined the University of Washington faculty and is now professor of Bioengineering. His interests have ranged broadly, from biological motion and cell biology to the interaction of biological surfaces with aqueous solutions. His 1990 book, Muscles and Molecules: Uncovering the Principles of Biological Motion, won an "Excellence Award" from the Society for Technical Communication; his more recent book, Cells, Gels and the Engines of Life, won that Society's "Distinguished Award." Pollack received an honorary doctorate in 2002 from Ural State University in Ekaterinburg, Russia, and was more recently named an Honorary Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He received the Biomedical Engineering Society's Distinguished Lecturer Award in 2002. In 2008, he was the faculty member selected by the University of Washington faculty to receive their highest annual distinction: the Faculty Lecturer Award. Pollack is a Founding Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering and a Fellow of both the American Heart Association and the Biomedical Engineering Society. He is also Founding Editor-in-Chief of the journal, WATER, and has recently received an NIH Transformative R01 Award. He was the 2012 recipient of the Prigogine Medal and in 2013 published his new book: The Fourth Phase of Water: Beyond Solid, Liquid, and Vapor.

We go over the strange history of waste management and the palaces of the 18th century with all these wealthy aristocrats basically just shitting all over their beautiful creations. Not only that they were a bunch of Luciferians that got off on some weird stuff no joke(sade), these were the people who built these structures? We also cover Poop fuel, The idea that energy/methane can be extracted from our excrement and turned into electricity. It’s not that crazy they are literally doing it today. Once watching this, it provides a solid question on how come such magnificent architectures and large cities were being constructed, yet they didn’t have proper waste management? Many say well they just used chamber pots and the slaves would throw it out. That would still be extremely messy and you know how many pots there would be in a palace? Many of these chamber pots are literally just a bowl with a handle... That sounds extremely disgusting for these men of such intellect. It’s a fascinating video because you realize that we don’t even need to argue about whether they really constructed these architectures from a civil engineering standpoint, we can just ask the question why the hell were they shitting all over the place and why were there no proper sewer systems in the united states, basically the world, until after 1850? From Enoch to the Dead Sea Scrolls , Edmond Bordeaux Szekely..... The Essenes (/ˈɛsiːnz, ɛˈsiːnz/; Modern Hebrew: אִסִּיִים, Isiyim; Greek: Ἐσσηνοί, Ἐσσαῖοι, or Ὀσσαῖοι, Essenoi, Essaioi, Ossaioi) were a mystic Jewish sect during the Second Temple period that flourished from the 2nd century BCE to the 1st century CE. The Jewish historian Josephus records that Essenes existed in large numbers, and thousands lived throughout Roman Judaea, but they were fewer in number than the Pharisees and the Sadducees, the other two major sects at the time. The Essenes lived in various cities but congregated in communal life dedicated to voluntary poverty, daily immersion, and asceticism (their priestly class practiced celibacy). Most scholars claim they seceded from the Zadokite priests. The Essenes have gained fame in modern times as a result of the discovery of an extensive group of religious documents known as the Dead Sea Scrolls, which are commonly believed to be the Essenes' library. These documents preserve multiple copies of parts of the Hebrew Bible untouched from possibly as early as 300 BCE until their discovery in 1946. The first reference to the sect is by the Roman writer Pliny the Elder (died c. 79 CE) in his Natural History. Pliny relates in a few lines that the Essenes possess no money, had existed for thousands of generations, and that their priestly class (“contemplatives”) do not marry. Unlike Philo, who did not mention any particular geographical location of the Essenes other than the whole land of Israel, Pliny places them somewhere above Ein Gedi, next to the Dead Sea. Josephus later gave a detailed account of the Essenes in The Jewish War (c. 75 CE), with a shorter description in Antiquities of the Jews (c. 94 CE) and The Life of Flavius Josephus (c. 97 CE). Claiming firsthand knowledge, he lists the Essenoi as one of the three sects of Jewish philosophy alongside the Pharisees and the Sadducees. He relates the same information concerning piety, celibacy, the absence of personal property and of money, the belief in communality, and commitment to a strict observance of Sabbath. He further adds that the Essenes ritually immersed in water every morning, ate together after prayer, devoted themselves to charity and benevolence, forbade the expression of anger, studied the books of the elders, preserved secrets, and were very mindful of the names of the angels kept in their sacred writings.
