06-06-24 S3E16 D-Day, VA benefits for Israeli soldiers, Trump's legal challenges, early Illinois election filing

Hosts Bill Lipinski and Ray Hanania discuss the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day invasion and the sacrifice that American soldiers made to defeat the Nazis during World War II. Lipinski, a historian on World War II, discusses the challenges or soldiers faced that brutal morning on June 6, 1944 at Normandy, France.

The efforts of two members of congress to pass legislation that would grant full veteran benefits to Americans who serve in Israel's military. State Reps. Max Miller (R-OH) and Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA), said they want Congress to provide protections and benefits to Americans who serve in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), regardless of whether or not they first served in the U.S. Military.

A look at former President Donald Trump's legal challenges and a comparison to challenges former President Bill Clinton faced. Clearly, Democrats made a great effort to prevent Clinton from being charged or convicted of felony perjury or felony influencing a witnesses' testimony in the Monica Lewinsky affair. Clinton manipulated the system and lied, and yet his lies were treated with sympathy from the mainstream news media. Clinton's purpose was to lie to survive so that his wife, Hillary Clinton, could seek higher office including the presidency at a later date. His perjury denying he had sexual relations with Lewinsky was a crime that if Trump had made would have resulted in a felony conviction.

The impact of a new law that changes the election dates and procedures in Illinois's elections. Now, if a party fails to run a candidate in a primary election contest for state or local office in Illinois, then the party would be prohibited from slating someone from their party to run in the general election. The real purpose is to strengthen the Democratic Party's control of Illinois politics. Illinois is one of the most "Blue States" in America with the strongest control by Democrats. It is almost a one-party state undermining the election process. That might explain why the last election had one of the worst and lowest voter turnouts in the country, less than 20 percent.

05-30-24 Trump Trial, Kennedy censored by media and Sam Alito's upside down flag S3E15

Hosts Bill Lipinski and Ray Hanania discuss former President Donald Trump's trial on 34 charges of allegedly falsifying business records, the bias of the news media engaging in the trial and the Democrats doing everything they possibly can to prevent Trump from returning to the White House.Lipinski and Hanania questioned the validity of the charges noting how a conviction will only increase and strengthen Trump's popularity in the upcoming election, and throw American into further disarray.

As they discussed the issue, the jury found Trump guilty on all 34 charges.

Click this link read story.https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2024/may/30/trump-hush-money-trial-verdict

Lipinski and Hanania also talk about how the Democrats and the News Media are doing everything to prevent Robert F. Kennedy Jr., from becoming president. Kennedy, a conservative, could take votes away not only from Trump but also from President Joe Biden. But even if he does not win, he can prevent both Biden and Trump from winning enough of the Electoral College Votes to become president. The media is more desperate and has compromised their ethics and professionalism to twist and distort facts. The New York Times refused to run a full page paid Advertisement from Kennedy demanding that he be included in the Presidential Debates which so far are being restricted to Kennedy and Trump.

And, Lipinski and Hanania discuss the fake accusations against Republican Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito whose wife raised an upside down flag in front of their home in protest of her fight with a neighbor. The neighbor called the media and the media has been demanding that Alito resign.

Their deception is clear however. They don't care about the American Flag. They care about removing a conservative from the Supreme Court in order to make it more difficult an option for the Supreme Court to intervene in any appeals Trump might make.Ironically, it has always been the liberals and Democrats who have defended the right of citizens to abuse the American flag, burning it, tearing it, wearing it as clothing or turning it upside down as a form of protest in a Free Country. Now the liberal media asserts that Alito's upside down flag is a crime.

Lipinski and Hanania also discuss the growing problems America continues to have, problems that have protrayed this country as weak and vulnerable to tyrants like Russia, North Korea, Iran and China. As a side note, both Hanania and Lipinski had hospital procedures last week (which is why we missed one show) and Lipinski was not able to be on camera.

5-03-24 Should Robert F. Kennedy Jr. be part of the Trump-Biden debates? And, comparing student protests today with 1968S3E14 Two Guys on Politics: Hosts Bill Lipinski and Ray Hanania discuss “Two Guys on Politics” Podcast presents a Reagan Democrat Perspectives from Chicagoland’s Southwest Side and the Midwest. Lipinski and Hanania explore the upcoming presidential debates. Should RFK Jr be included. And Lipinski and Hanania discuss the student protests at Universities and colleges over the Israel-Hamas in Gaza. They compare the student protests today over the Israel-Gaza war and the protests that divided America during the Vietnam war and how the protestors disrupted the 1968 Democratic Convention and had a negative impact on the candidacy of Democrat Hubert H. Humphrey. Assertions of outside influence today reflect the same assertions of outside influence in 1968, and the brutality used against student protestors then and now are compared.Bill Lipinski served as Democratic Committeeman/Alderman of Chicago’s 23rd Ward. 04-24-24 S3E13 Aid to Israel & Ukraine & Taiwan; Tiktok influence; Hollywood's anti-Trump movie "Civil War," & Robert F. Kennedy Jr's challenge to become presidentHosts Bill Lipinski and Ray Hanania discuss “Two Guys on Politics” Podcast presents a Reagan Democrat Perspectives from Chicagoland’s Southwest Side and the Midwest. Lipinski and Hanania explore the impact of movies and Hollywood on American politics, including a look at the film "Civil War" which some call an anti-Trump propaganda film; and also GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson juggling his leadership and party politics; and updates on the RFK Jr candidacy.Lipinski and Hanania also discuss the role of GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson and his role in passing the 95 billion aid package for Israel Ukraine and Taiwan.Lipinski and Hanania talk about how American politics is being manipulated by the pro-Israel community to push through without challenge funding for Israel, one of the world's most powerful and wealthy nations, without much debate, but had to struggle to get support for funding for Ukraine which is on the verge of being destroyed by Russia, an opponent of Democracy and America. In recent months we have seen more and more American protesting against Israel's government actions in Gaza, and part of the discussion involves the influence of Tiktok which is today's version of "Television" for many young people. Ironically, it was the rise of television videos in the late 1960s that turned the American people against the American-backed war in Vietnam. Tiktok is doing the same in the Israel-Gaza conflict, which is one reason why members of the US Senate and Congress have approved legislation assaulting Tiktok threatening to shut it down.Lipinski and Hanania then discuss the Hollywood movie "Civil War" which is playing into fueling a. wider divide, growing the polarization of American society between pro-Trump and anti-Trump Americans. The film portrays an unnamed president who is clearly based on Trump who is authoritarian and who has issued a shoot-to-kill order against any journalist, who takes over government and is serving his third term in office in violation of the U.S. Constitutions 22nd Amendment limiting presidents to two full terms. Eventually, the Trump-like President is captured by "Western Forces" led aby an African American female Unit commander dragged out from under the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office and after being questioned by a journalist is executed at point blank range by the soldiers. Finally, Lipinski and Hanania discuss the continued candidacy of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and his need to become more focused on the issues and topics of most interest to the mainstream American people. Is Kennedy the candidate who can bring the country together? Certainly neither Trump not Biden ar ecapable of bringing the American people together and bridging the growing polarization and political divide.Bill Lipinski served as Democratic Committeeman/Alderman of Chicago’s 23rd Ward. Lipinski was elected to Congress in 1983 and served through 2005. 04-04-24 S3E10 Two Guys on Politics: WSJ poll shows Trump leading Biden; Israel losing American public support, RFK & No Label Updates. Is RFK addressing the right issues?Hosts Bill Lipinski and Ray Hanania discuss a recent poll by the Wall Street Journal showing Trump leading Biden in the presidential race. Does that mean that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. can sweep away the anti-Biden and anti-Trump supporters? Or is Kennedy failing to see the issues that Biden and Trump are fumbling? Is Kennedy focused on issues that are not the primary focus of the American people? And they discuss polling by the PEW Research Center and another by the Associated Press showing support for Israel diminishing the longer the Gaza war continues ... including the Israeli killing of 7 aid workers with the World Central Kitchen, a humanitarian group that provides food in crisis situations to refugees and victims of war. One of those killed by Israel is an American. The Washington-headquartered charity provides meals to disaster-struck regions and communities around the world. It is one of the few aid organizations delivering desperately needed food in Gaza where 2.2 million people do not have enough to eat. Also, the No Labels Party decided not to run a candidate ... and maybe it was a mistake not to reach out to the Robert F. Kennedy Jr., campaign to keep their momentum going. No Labels is on 24 states and they could have come together to help strengthen a third party option to the horrendous stumbling of President Biden and the continued rancor and uncertainty of the Trump campaign. Kennedy's problem is he is not addressing the major issues that Americans are most concerned with and spends too much time on extraneous issues that are being brushed aside as "conspiratorial."“Two Guys on Politics” Podcast presents a Reagan Democrat Perspectives from Chicagoland’s Southwest Side and the Midwest.Bill Lipinski served as Democratic Committeeman/Alderman of Chicago’s 23rd Ward. 03-29-24 S3E9 Joe Lieberman, the neverending elections counts, Kennedy's vice president, and Council Wars II

This podcast is also shared in Video on Youtube AND on www.RayHananiaOnPolitics.com

Two Guys on Politics: Lipinski and Hanania discuss thew passing of Senator Joseph Lieberman; the fact that nearly two weeks since the March 19 Democratic Primary, the critical race for Cook County States Attorney is still undecided; and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announces his VP Choice Nicole Shanahan; and the growing fight in the Chicago City Council.Senator Joe Lieberman, a former candidate for VP with Al Gore in 2020 passed this week. Lipinski knew Lieberman well and talks about him.The critical race for Cook County State's Attorney is still up in the air nearly two weeks after the election with no clear decision, partly driven by the expanded voting system that seems uncontrolled and scattered with many ballots depending on the poorly performing U.S. Postal System to deliver them. The leader is retired Appellate Judge Eileen O’Neill Burke has widened her lead over university lecturer and former government official Clayton Harris III. Burke maintains a 1,600 vote lead over Harris and it looks like she will hold out to win as the vote count drags on slowly towards its final end.Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., surprised everyone when he announced his choice for his vice presidential running mate. RFK had floated the names of wrestler Jesse Ventura and former Greenbay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. As soon as RFK announced them, the biased news media jumped all over both Ventura and Rodgers showcasing controversies. But RFK instead chose Nicole Shanahan, a California attorney and billionaire. She is half Irish and half Chinese. While her wealth will certainly help in the election, will she? And, Lipinski and Hanania discuss Chicago City Council Wars II: Ald. Byron Sigcho-Lopez is being attacked because he spoke at a rally where before he spoke an American flag was burned -- something that is protected speech under the U.S. Constitution. Sigcho-Lopez the chair of the Housing Committee and a member of Mayor Brandon Johnson’s leadership team. His colleagues condemning Sigcho-Lopez on Wednesday were Alds. Marty Quinn (13th Ward), Raymond Lopez (15th Ward), Silvana Tabares (23rd Ward), Bill Conway (34th Ward), Gilbert Villegas (36th Ward), Anthony Napolitano (41st Ward), Chris Taliaferro (29th Ward), Felix Cardona (31st Ward) and Nick Sposato (38th Ward). It looks as if the critics are grasping for straws in an attempt to build a voice against Chicago Mayor Johnson's administration, but they lack enough votes to make a difference.“Two Guys on Politics” Podcast presents a Reagan Democrat Perspectives from Chicagoland’s Southwest Side and the Midwest.Bill Lipinski served as Democratic Committeeman/Alderman of Chicago’s 23rd Ward. 03-07-24 S3E8 Super Tuesday results with Trump Nikki Haley and anti-Biden protest, 3rd Party Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr and the effort to keep Trump off the ballot

Two Guys on Politics: Lipinski and Hanania discuss the Super Tuesday election results, the negative role the mainstream news media is playing int he election strengthening Trump, assertions that many of the voters supporting Nikki Haley were Democrat who crossover votes, and discuss the efforts by 3 states who sought to remove Trump from their ballots and the US Supreme Court's unanimous decision to block that illegal move.

They discuss how the media's biased manipulation of news attacking Trump is actually strengthening Trump among voters. If Trump wins, it's the mainstream news media that should be blamed, not what failed candidate Hillary Clinton asserted were the immoral conduct of the "deplorables," wnyone, she said, who supported Trump.

Both Lipinski and Hanania say that if a candidate like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., can make it to the November ballot, he would be abetter choice than either Trump or Biden.

02-15-24 S3E6 Biden cognitive issues, New York's 3rdDist race, and RFK's Super Bowl Ad

Two Guys on Politics: Lipinski and Hanania discuss the issue surrounding the questions about President Joe Biden's memory, comparing it to the issues faced by former President Ronald Reagan during his second term in office. Will Biden step down s concerns about his memory and his ability to deal or not deal with growing international crisis. Lipinski and Hanania acknowledge everyone, including themselves, have some memory issues. But they are not holding the office of President of the United States and Leader of the Free World.

Lipinski and Hanania also discuss the win by Democrat Tom Suozzi in New York's 3rd Congressional District. Suozzi embraced several conservative issues including the need to secure our borders, addressing the growing migrant issues, which has been an issue identified more with the Republicans than Democrats.

And they discuss the criticism directed against Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who used JFK's 1960s election messaging during the Super Bowl to push his own campaign for president. RFK had every right to use that commercial but some members of his family criticized him and he issued an apology.

Two Guys on Politics: Lipinski and Hanania discuss the expanding criminal nature of the growing migrant crisis and how migrants are being given priority over the safety of police. They also discuss the hypocrisy of the U.S. Senate bullying social media companies accusing them of not doing anything to stop cyber bullying and pandering to parents whose children have died.

In New York City, two police officers where beaten and attacked by migrants and instead of charging the migrants, they were all released, with one giving the Finger with both hands to the media as he walked out.

Representatives and owners of the five largest social media companies, Facebook or META, Tiktok, Discord, Twitter or X, and SnapChat appeared before a Senate hearing on cyberbullying attended by families of young children who were the victims of online social media cyberbullying.

Two Guys on Politics: discuss the failed presidential leadership of Trump and Biden, and talk about a plan to eliminate taxation of Social Security

S2 E16, Nov 30, 2023

In a live broadcast on Facebook, former Congressmen Bill Lipinski and former Chicago City Hall reporter Ray Hanania discuss the lack of strong leadership in America and the pathetic choice for president of former President Donald Trump who is consumed in 91 indictments, controversy and his own petty political concerns and President Joe Biden who doesn't seem to know where he is or what he is doing except from the scripts handed to him at infrequent press conferences.

Isn't there a strong voice alternative for Americans and why aren't American voters clamoring for a stronger new leadership?

Also, Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie of the 4th District has reintroduced his legislation to eliminate federal taxation on Social Security, which is taxed when it is collected and taxed again when it is paid out ... part of the problem is that the Social Secrity payments have increased although they rarely keep pace with the increases in inflation and most people who get social security still must have other income or another job ... the combination of the incomes forces them to pay federal income taxes on 85 percent of their social security which is wrong ... Massie is a republican and the bill was only introduced by other republicans, mostly the radical far right like Gatez and Boebert ... why are Democrats not supporting Seniors and a crackdown on taxing social security?

11-16-23: CTU imposes agenda on Chicago; Biden meets with Chinese Pres; hypocrisy of GOP

Podcast 3 pm S2 E15

Two Guys on Politics

Two Guys on Politics Season 2 Episode 14 hosts formerCongressman Bill Lipinski and columnist Ray Hanania discuss three topics:

1 - power of CTU on education and the election of BrandonJohnson as Chicago mayor: no elected school/delayed; ending the charter school program. The elimination of Charter schools also ends the tax credit programs for parents who want to send their kids to private schools. Lipinski and Hanania discuss how this might result in more parents with school-aged children fleeing the crime-plagued city of Chicago for safer suburban communities.

2 - Chinese President Xi Jinping meeting President Joe Biden, snubs him first and then meets. Jinping's comments were moderate and encouraging and Lipinski and Hanania discuss what impact that would have on US interests, the war in Israel-Gaza and the war in Russia-Ukraine.

3 - New speaker Mike Johnson passed measure to keepgovernment open ... exactly what Kevin McCarthy did ... but no squealing from Gaetz or other GOP radicals ... Lipinski points out why the radical right led by Gaetz was willing to accept Johnson's compromise with Democrats while opposing former Speaker Kevin McCarthy for compromising with Democrats.

1 - Wokeism and growing polarization“Woke" is an adjective derived from African-American Vernacular English (AAVE) meaning "alert to racial prejudice and discrimination". Beginning in the 2010s, it came to encompass a broader awareness of social inequalities such as racial justice, sexism and LGBT rights.

2 - Expanding conflicts and foreign AidExpanding conflicts and foreign Aid of $14.7 billion to Israel. What is Biden doing? What about Ukraine? 10-05-23 S2E9 US Rep Gaetz and Democrats tear down Congress booting Speaker McCarthy

Former Congressman Bill Lipinski and political columnist Ray Hanania analyze the ousting of US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy by extremist radical Congressman Matt Gaetz.

Although the mainstream news media is focusing on Gaetz's extremist ties to indicted former President Donald Trump the media is ignoring the fact that McCarthy wasn't ousted by Gaetz but by the Democratic Minority party which empowered Gaetz, a Florida Republican who has under investigation by the US House Ethics Committee for sexual misconduct, illicit drug use and campaign finance mismanagement.

Gaetz, a long time McCarthy foe, pushed for McCarthy's removal in part because of the investigations but claimed it was because McCarthy had compromised with Democrats to prevent the shutdown of the U.S. Government. But to oust McCarthy, Gaetz had to compromise with Democrats, making Gaetz the ultimate hypocrite.

Democrats have criticized McCarthy for breaking public promises, but had no problem partnering with Gaetz, a radical.

09-14-23 Immigrant, migrants and the political exploitation of a serious challenge to America S2E7

Former Congressman Bill Lipinski and columnist Ray Hanania address the challenges of a failed immigration system and the growing problems of undocumented, illegal and migrant people who come into the country illegally.

The Rule of Law is the foundation of American Democracy and without it, our Democracy collapses. But the Far Left and the Far Right are exploiting the issues for their own political benefits. The Center Right, however, believes that the immigration system must be repaire dbecause America is a nation of immigrants, but immigrants who entered this country legally.

Today's policies that open the door to illegal immigrants and migrants without imposing requirements to be American first -- to learn the language, to be vetted for problems and criminal backgrounds, and to have a financial support foundation that doesn't put the entire burden on taxpayers to pay for the costs of illegals and migrants to enjoy the benefits of this country without workign to earn it is a mistake that is undermining the American way of life, which was created by Immigrants.

Two Guys on Politics: discuss the FTX Bitcoin collapse, Chicago Elections and who will be the GOP candidate for President, with tributes to JFK and Tim Degnan

S2 E44, 11-22-22 Tuesday

In a live broadcast on Facebook, former Congressman Bill Lipinski, Brian Broeking and former Chicago City Hall reporter Ray Hanania will discuss FTX Bitcoin collapse, Chicago Elections and who will be the GOP candidate for President.

Topics include a discussion about the collapse of FTX Bitcoin, comparisons to Bernie Madoff and the impact the collapse of the $4 billion FTX fund will have on the challenges of making bitcoin cyber currency mainstream.

(29 MINUTE MARK)

Also discussed is the upcoming Chicago Mayor to unseat failed Mayor Lori Lightfoot. Praise for Ald. Raymond Lopez for putting Chicago first above his own self-interests, to make Chicago a better city, compared to Congressman Jesus "Chuy" Garcia who has entered the race in what critics believe is a self-promotion opportunity to help himself rather than the city. With Lopez leaving the race, some of the leading candidates include Dr. Willie Wilson and Paul Vallas. Wilson has the money but needs a stronger campaign team focus, while Vallas has the brains and ideas but lacks the campaign skills to move voter.

(42 MINUTE MARK)

Remembering the JFK assassination and the memories of that traumatic, 59 years ago today.

(45 MINUTE MARK)

And there is a discussion about who will run for President on the Republican side. Will there be a substantive challenge to former President Donald Trump. Mike Pence, the former Vice President, is a weak contender. And what about the Democratic side, who will win.

(52 MINUTE MARK)

The discuss turns briefly to the Ukraine War and the errant missile that struck Poland with all agreeing that regardless of where the missile came from, Russia and Vladimir Putin are responsible for all the death and destruction.

(101:50 MINUTE MARK)

The show ends with a tribute to Tim Degnan, the former Chicago Streets and Sanitation commissioner who rose to be one of former Richard M. Daley's most trusted and brilliant advisors. Degnan passed away this week.

ToGP Pt 2: The continued collapse of the Republican Party in Illinois

S2 E7.2, 02-17-22

In a live broadcast on Facebook, former Congressman Bill Lipinski and former Chicago City Hall reporter Ray Hanania discuss the continuing collapse of the Republican Party in Illinois. We look at the history of how Pat Quinn, founder of the Coalition for Political Honesty, began the process of destroying the Two Party system in Illinois in 1980 and ending accountability by giving one political party the power to control the state. We also look at the failure of Republicans to speak to the issues facing the public in Illinois, especially around Chicago and Cook County. And we look at one crucial battle in Cook County between Cook County Commissioner Sean Morrison, a GOP extremist, in the 17th District who is facing a challenge from centrist Republican stalwart Liz Gorman, who held the seat before appointing Morrison to the seat. Morrison barely won re-election four years ago holding on the the seat with only 1,377 votes over an unknown Democratic challenger. If Morrison wins the Republican Party nomination on June 28, 2022, the Republicans will lose the seat to a Democratic challenger in November 2022.

Two Guys on Politics: Was Jan 6 an Insurrection or a Protest gone wrong?

01-06-22, S2E1

Former Congressman Bill Lipinski and former Chicago City Hall reporter and columnist Ray Hanania closely examine the controversy of the Jan. 6, 2021 violent protests at the Congress. Was it an "insurrection" as President Biden and his party insist or was it a Constitutionally protected act of Free Speech that went wrong?

Lipinski and Hanania discuss Trump's role in failing to provide strong leadership and Biden's efforts to weaponize the Jan. 6 protest for political benefit. Were there 20,000, 30,000 or 120,000 protestors at the Congress. So far, 800 have been arrested and charge and police officials say they expect 400 more will be arrested and charged with violent acts. But do those 1,200 violent protestors represent the 20,000 to 120,000 protestors who had a constitutional right to express their opinions? How much did Trump contribute to the violence that took place.

Also, Lipinski and Hanania discuss Biden and what appears to be his failure to achieve what he said he would do, to bring the country together. Biden's speech only served to incite the divisions and make the polarization of American more rigid.

Two Guys on Politics: Year in Review, FEMA pays for COVID deaths, All American Essay Contest

S1 E17, 12-30-21

Former Congressman Bill Lipinski and former Chicago City Hall reporter Ray Hanania look back over the first 17 episodes of the podcast, discussing the assault in religious freedom in America, racism, the new Cold War with Russia and Russia's tyrant Vladimir Putin, and China's growing economic influence. Topics also included the rising crime in Chicago, and the fact that more than 75 percent of the 800,000 Americans who died of Coronavirus COVID were Senior Citizens 65 years of age and older and how seniors are pandered to by the government. They compared how Russia is threatening a takeover of the Ukraine to the Nazi invasion of Poland in 1939. Lipinski and Hanania also discussed how many "Democrats" in Chicago were actually more conservative especially in statewide and national elections going back to the 1950s.

Also discussed is how issues of discrimination have become bludgeons for political purposes and how many people are burdened with being racist even though they are not racist. Why can't Americans discuss and debate controversial issues like race, Gay Rights, women's rights, and minority rights without becoming disagreeable, or without accusing people of racism just for having a different voice. People who respond to issues by making personal attacks are basically admitting they can't defend their positions.

Muslims, Lipinski said, are the minority group that face the highest level of discrimination and racism in America.

They also discussed how the so-called Spanish Flu was blamed on Spain but in fact it began in a military training camp in the heartland of the United States.

Finally, Lipinski discusses his All American Essay Contest for students in 6th, 7th and 8th Grade with the topic for this essay competition "Who was the greatest president?" Any student in those grades can enter the contest. The rules and awards for this essay competition is as follows: the essay must include the student's name, address, phone number, the name of the student's school, the school's phone number, grade and room number. Two Guys on Politics S1E10: Nov. 2 elections portend Democratic midterm losses in 2022

Season 1, Episode 10. Nov. 4, 2021

Former Congressman Bill Lipinski and former Chicago City Hall reporter Ray Hanania analyze the surprising Nov. 22, 2021 elections in which several Republicans easily defeated incumbent Democrats setting the stage for a much stronger Republican comeback in the midterm elections in 2022.

The defeat of former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe to Republican businessman Glenn Youngkin in the race for governor. The surprise victory of a New Jersey truck driver Edward Durr who spent less than $200 in his legislative campaign unseating veteran Democratic New Jersey Senate President Stephen M. Sweeney.

The thin victory margin of incumbent Democrat Philip D. Murphy over Republican challenger Jack Ciattarelli.

But the big issue is how the biased mainstream news media favored Democrats and possibly contributed to their defeat by favoring the Democrats and exaggerating their performance. Would the Democrats have done better if they felt that their races were in jeopardy?

Blame the media for the loss and blame the media for the upcoming anti-Democrat surge in next year's midterm elections.

10-14-21 Two Guys on Politics: Joe Biden's failures and the impending threats of China and Russia

Season 1 Episode 7

Former Congressman Bill Lipinski and former Chicago City Hall reporter Ray Hanania discuss the failures of the administration of President Joe Biden. Biden seems to be responding to the political polarization rather than leading the nation as hundreds of cargo ships remain stuck in harbors faround the country including off the shores of Los Angeles. Lipinski proposes a unique idea. If he were president, he would order the U.S. Military to fill the void of the absence of dock workers to unload all of the ships to get the American economy back on track. The failure to unload those ships is paralyzing America's economy and impacting the country in negative ways at every level.

Lipinski and Hanania also discuss the real threats to America including the growing financial strength of China and threats against Taiwan, and how Russia under Vladimir Putin is moving steadily back to the Cold War era Soviet Union politics of conflict and tense confrontation.
