David & Goliath - 1 Samuel 17
Jesus fights the "Goliath" of sin as our representative. He conquers sin once and for all - cutting of it's head so that it no longer has any power.
What is the difference between religion and faith? We are shown what is at the heart of each through the lives of Saul and Jonathan.
Partial Obedience is not obedience at all. Jesus shows us what full obedience looks like by going to the cross to rescue us - all at the direction of the Father.
We don't have to choose a side between being about justice or being about the gospel. Scripture doesn't.
