We are here for real human conversations with real people. Speaking up to share their stories, their passions, and their thoughts to show that we are all human. We all have joy, fear, and pain, so we can come together and share in our common humanity.
With the subdued spirit of lo-fi hip hop and a flow reminiscent of hip-hop’s golden age, Kaesevyn - real name Ju-Marri Sims - uses a history of trauma and social ineptitude to give a voice to those who need one. A Cleveland native, Kaesevyn adopted his persona after his father passed away in 2010, and felt like now, more than ever, was his chance to finally find the voice that had eluded him in his formative years.

I am an Air Force Veteran, wife, and soon to be mother of a baby girl in 2024! I left Active duty a few years ago in search of a more balanced and family lifestyle.
Since leaving Active Duty, I still have a strong desire to serve others. I have been able to find that in becoming a licensed Life Insurance Broker/Retirement Planner and certified Life and Success Coach.
As a Life Insurance Broker, I am licensed in 10 states and partnered with 15 plus top rated insurance companies. I have the pleasure of helping individuals and families prepare for the future with life insurance, retirement plans, mortgage protection, child and young adult future financial stability.
As a certified Life and Success Coach, my mission is to empower as many individuals as possible to achieve their highest potential in the most important aspects of their life. I guide individuals through a personalized coaching process to maximize their potential in self-growth, creating a resilient mindset, getting outside their comfort zone, breaking free of mental stagnancy and ultimately achieving the success they desire.
My husband, Joe, is also a veteran and certified Life Coach. Together, we created Credence Life Coaching, where we focus on military members, burn out, personal/professional growth, transition to civilian life, entering the civilian workforce, and finding purpose after service. Our goal is to work with as many veterans and service members possible to achieve their goals, find success, and create their best self – physically, mentally, and emotionally. We want to impact the veteran community to help fight veteran homelessness and suicide. Our message is simple, we are here to help. We understand the stigma surrounding asking for help, but keep in mind this is a partnership for success, not therapy or mental health service.
You can reach out to Kaylee for coaching at ks@credencelifecoaching.com or at her website that is coming soon!

John and I have a great conversation about poetry, parenting, and life in general. As promised, the two movies I couldn't remember the titles of in the episode were, "A Marriage Story" and "The Ultimate Playlist of Noise" if you want to check them out.
John Roedel is a comic who unexpectedly gained notability as a writer and poet through his heartfelt Facebook conversations that went viral and became an Amazon best-selling book titled, Hey God. Hey John.
He is the author of five books—Hey God. Hey John, Any Given Someday, Untied: The Poetry of What Comes Next, Remedy, and his latest work, Upon Departure, which explores through poetry the concept of our grief as a natural wonder that terraforms the landscape of our world in increments.
Offering a sincere and very relatable look at his faith crisis, mental health, personal struggles, perception of our world, and even his fashion sense, John's writing has been shared millions of times across social media and lauded by fans and readers worldwide. He teaches at universities and retreat centers across the US, blending his trademark comedy with creative exercises, journaling, dialogue, and introspection to help people fearlessly embrace and share their personal stories.

Chandra is so many things all rolled into one. A mother, a coach, a trauma survivor, a powerlifter, a podcast host (but today I'm the guest), and so much more. As a neurodivergent person, I have a habit of incorporating everything I have ever tried into my personality moving forward. But, it keeps things interesting. In this episode, I take on the role of guest on my own show, and let my friend Nichole ask the questions.
We start with how this podcast really came to be, dive into what drove me to become a powerlifter, how that relates to the trauma I have experienced in my lifetime, and some cool info about the brain as we discuss various pieces of my healing journey. All in all, we take a few ADHD detours to get to some good connection.

Ian McConnell is a special boy. He likes to sing his little songs and tell his little jokes. There is always someone watching Ian. Are they in… THIS CLOSET??? opens door dramatically Alas, just the usual skeletons. Ian has noticed that an increasing number of his socks contain holes. It might be time for some new socks. Ian enjoys books, board games, walks, one-on-one conversations (he tends to drift into the background of group chats), learning new things, re-evaluating every choice made over his entire life, eating large quantities of peanut butter pretzels, wasting his potential, and not being perceived. He hopes to one day become food. Upcoming shows include Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Columbus OH, Pittsburgh, Boston, and New York City, starting April 25th.
Ian and I discuss his realization that he really is a millennial and not part of Gen-Z and how nothing is truly good or bad. How simply being alive is fatiguing AF but that doesn't mean we have to correct people's grammar. Lastly, that we really aren't as bad off as we think, because humans are still getting better and more empathetic. Oh yeah, and he is a very entertaining entertainer!

The line between mental illness and spirituality is blurred so well, it's almost as if it's greyscale. I want to show the world the black and white and everything in-between. I want to expose old, harmful and corrupt systems and practices that no longer serve us. I want to shed light on what we keep hidden, thinking no one else could possibly understand. I want to normalize mental illness and bring back the connection to our selves - to spirit.

Oliver was born and raised in Pennsylvania with his mom and sister. In elementary school he was placed into special education classroom and was abused at the hands of his teacher. He began to associate learning with physical restraint and did not enjoy his time at school. He found a way to slip through the cracks and graduate high school with a first to second grade reading level. After falling into trouble with the law and spending 54 months in prison, Oliver realized he had a love for fitness and began his own personal training business. The Covid pandemic changed the way he had to train which led him to pack up and move to California. After his big move, he found out that he was going to be a father. This was another turning point for him, he wanted to be able to read to his child, but to do so, he had to learn how to read.He took his journey of learning to read as an adult to TikTok where he was welcomed into a community of book lovers ready to recommend books for him to read , watch him read on lives, send him resources, and follow his journey. The rest is history. He has been interviewed on Good Morning America and Rachel Ray. He is continuing his journey to literacy and offering his services as a motivational speaker. You can follow Oliver on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter @OliverSpeaks1.I am C. S. Our conversation today kept coming back to our experience as mothers and daughters; as we work to heal our generational trauma and create a better world for those that come after us, our kids. And the incredible power we have to learn from our children and for our children to create the world we want to live in.

Ashley Campise is a St. Louis, Missouri based yoga and meditation teacher. She started practicing in 2014. Ashley completed her 200 hour RYT in 2016 with BlueBird and Southtown Yoga in St. Louis, MO and her 300 hour RYT in 2020 with Yoga Oasis in Tucson, AZ. Her gusto for these practices (and life in general) is undeniable and you’ll see that in her offerings. Ashley's mission is to get these practices off the mat (or cushion) and into the world. There's something really profound that happens when a person can bring their practices into their day to day activities. Currently Ashley is teaching at a few different yoga studios around the St. Louis and surrounding areas. She also offers personalized private individual or group zoom sessions. Off the mat you can find her traveling the U.S. with her fiancé, Steve and their pups Vinny and Sunny in their self converted campervan. Ashley enjoys kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, basically anything outside! She also founded a group called Midwest Women's Adventure Club which is a group designed to bring women together in outdoor/adventurous places and spaces where all body types, ethnicities, abilities, etc are welcome. If you've never thought about how the little things you do and say impact the world around you in big ways, we dive into just that a time or two (and then some) in this episode. To talk to someone with such a caring and open heart was such a blessing. Ashley made me proud to be human! You can follow Ashley on IG @thetravelingyogi1226 and follow or join her adventures in the St. Louis area @midwestwomensadventureclub.I am C. S. Nichole, like most humans, despises writing bios. How does one tell the world that they secured a world record for deadlift without sounding braggadocious? Well, now that the bandaid has been ripped off--Nichole is neuro-divergent, so she has deep interests and several hobbies including powerlifting, jiu jitsu, and contrast therapy. She's an entrepreneur that works in digital marketing. Curiosity and energy are her superpowers and boredom is a stranger. Constantly on the move, she's an adventure seeker traveling through the world full speed with awe and wander.
This conversation was so fun to have. From recalling the kids who bullied her in school to becoming a world-record holder in powerlifting, Nichole tells a story of the people she is grateful for, the journey she has walked, and the challenges that made her who she is today. A champion for endometriosis treatment and research, as well as medical self-advocacy.

Today we have a great discussion about healthy relationships with parents, kids, exes, and yourself. And we talk a lot about failure and how it molds us into who we are meant to be, for better or worse. Life takes us on an amazing journey of ups and downs. Through this journey we stumble, fall, and get back up, hopefully wiser. We use those experiences to build ourselves into the person we want to become. Fail as often as you need to.

In this conversation with author, Michael Roberts, we learn about part of his story of abuse from Catholic priests. But more importantly, we get to know a man who has taken his own painful experience and used it to raise his voice to help others. As I spoke with Michael I was happy to know that empathy, peace, and happiness can be found in another human being who has overcome so much.
You can follow Michael on Instagram @michaelrobertstuart, explore his website behindsacredwalls.com and buy his book on Amazon. Part of the proceeds from the book will go to Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. You can find more information about them on their website, snapnetwork.org.

Steve Olson is a street minister, martial arts instructor, and I have the pleasure of calling him a friend. In this episode, we talk about how our experiences with sexual assault and abuse have impacted our lives. We dive into how difficult it is to admit you are a victim and how, as a man, it can be harder for people to believe you. The psychological trauma that also follows an abusive relationship can be lifelong and affect all future relationships, whether they are friends, co-workers, or romantic partners.
Sexual assault is an all too common occurrence in America and we need to talk about. We need to stop feeling the shame of other peoples actions so that we can find a way to stop these things from happening.

In this episode, we discuss how saying yes or simply asking can change your life. We also touch on personal growth and how you can use your positive vibes to enhance the world around you with joy, kindness, and a helping hand.

As I listen to Chad's story of how he got recruited, indoctrinated, and eventually left a religious cult, I couldn't help but point out the similarities between his experiences and my own with abusive relationships. The love-bombing, the promises, the guilt trips, the shame, the embarrassment, the fear, and the eventual healing. Play by play, is a feeling known all too well by many people in this world. The openness and vulnerability in this episode are just outstanding. Tune in for some REAL, human conversation.

Doug and I talk about how he prefers to inspire people rather than motivate them because change has to come from within, not without. For this reason, he likes to be the person to help light someone's spark and watch them find their own way to create the life they desire. We also talk about how and why people get stuck, the but theory, and how we can, as a community of humans, help each other get unstuck.
Doug is one of the owners of Above the Rest Training Systems, a strongman and powerlifting gym in Cheyenne, WY, and the man behind River Horse Fitness, a new fitness brand for clothing and other workout gear.

Today I am joined by Johnna, an evidence based life coach and host of the Shit I Wish Someone Told Me Podcast. Today we talk about how, often times, the seemingly positive things we hear can lack the nuance and understanding required for us to grow. And how, though something may help us in the short term, it may not be the best way for us to continue in life.
Did you know that 95-98% of our decisions are made by our subconscious? And our subconscious likes to do what it has always done. Changing that is not as easy thinking positively. No matter what the quotes on the internet say!

Join me as I talk to Michael Ulloa, a personal trainer and performance nutritionist, about the body positivity movement, how fitness is for everyone - not just people with visible abs, and how health goes much deeper than what you look like. This real, human conversation also touches on how one's socioeconomic status can impact their overall health and how we need to have more conversations about the bigger picture of health if we want to see change.

We went all over the board on this one. From how we got into bodybuilding and powerlifting to how finding your purpose can help guide your personal growth. We touched on how we often share the same pain or trials and how we can set aside our differences and have conversations with one another to find peace and understanding in our humanity.
Stay until the end for the conversation cards to find out Brennan's love languages and what Chandra would say to her younger self.

In this episode, we talk with Megan about how she became familiar with dyslexia when her young son was struggling. From there she has learned about dyslexia and literacy so that she can advocate for her kids and work to change the education system to serve every child. We dive into neurodiversity and how is has impacted our lives, because it can be much more than trouble reading or sitting still, and the stigma around it needs to end.
