Welcome to Camp Good Days & Special Times' new podcast! With each new episode, host Lauren O'Dell chats with our many friends, volunteers, and staff members, both old and new, as we remember Teddi Mervis and how her dream turned into an organization that thousands of children, adults, and families have benefitted from over the last 43 years. The mission of Camp Good Days & Special Times is to enrich the lives of children, adults, and families who have been touched by cancer, through summer recreational camping experiences and year-round support services, provided free of charge.
Lauren takes to Zoom to chat with Camp Good Days alums Isaiah & Zechariah Merrell! Their brotherly banter & love for Camp Good Days makes this an episode you won't want to miss. Even Lauren's dog, Sadie, makes a guest appearance! Tune in for heartfelt memories of strength, love, and utter chaos!
Lauren sits down with three of Camp Good Days' very own summer staff: Miriam Rigas, Jordan Hiam, and Molly Mineo! They reminisce on some of the most impactful relationships they've developed, as well as life-changing experiences at Camp. They all agree that Camp Good Days has a lasting affect on not only the families, but the staff, too. It has helped shape who they are, as well as who they want to be. Tune in for many, many laughs, memories, and more!
Lauren sits down with (mom!!!) Kristin O’Dell, cancer survivor & Camp Good Days fan!! They discuss love, pain, strength, all things Camp, and just how important the organization is to our community.
Lauren sits down with Founder and Chairman of Camp Good Days & Special Times, Gary Mervis. Gary tells the story of how Camp was born, his relationship with his daughter, Teddi, as well as discussing certain individuals that have had a lasting impact on the organization from the early days.
